No complaints. Great service by the handlebar mustache waiter! Came here by recommendation and would come back again. We had the Wood Fired pizza and it was good, but the deep dish at the table next to ours looked really good!

Conveniently located in the same building as my brothers town home. We enjoy Connie’s pizza often while visiting Chicago. We tried the thin crust pizza this time and it took our Connie’s pizza experience to the next level. The thin crust is substantial enough to be satisfying, but not a huge crust. Fresh, quality ingredients make this a great pizza. We just get take out, so not able to comment on the service or atmosphere. Want a tasty pizza, call Connie’s and get a thin crust!

Can’t believe how much has changed in 1yr… don’t order the full shrimp dinner! It’s like buying a box of shrimp from the supermarket. smh!

I have dreams about this pizza. I recently ordered the deep dish AND the thin crust because I couldn’t decide which one to get… they were both only for me. I was so glad I made that decision. I love the mushrooms, sausage, onions, and spinach on the deep. And sausage and shrooms on the thin. Honestly, I want to eventually try every topping combination. I have not dined in at this location but the food deliveries always exceed my expectations. For the longest time I was a die hard Lou M’s fan but this is becoming my #1 go to ‘zzaaah.

I love having Connie’s in the Gold Coast. This is such a good location. Pizza is always amazing and service is great! I highly recommend this place as a Chicago pizza joint.

Went on a Monday night and it was pretty empty, which usually is a bad sign, but my party of 6 all had a great meal! Our server was very thorough and funny, and the pizza was really good! Drinks were great as well. This is good place to go if you want deep dish pizza but have other people in your party who want other options as well(why they would, I don’t know… it’s Chicago, have pizza! lol)

Grubhub delivers it. Tastes good, Remains hot till your table in Chicago’s weather. What I liked best was that it was a real good vegetarian Pizza. Mozzarella used was definitely among the best in the town. Will go for it again.

Whatever you do, DON’T order their pastas! So so bad, I can’t even tell if the meat in the lasagna is chicken or beef or lamb! It’s so bad! The Alfredo has no chicken and the sauce is watery.

A bunch of us came here tonight for a running club the restaurant hosted. The staff was excellent, and the food they serve for our group was amazing. The pizzas were wonderful and there was plenty to go around, which is sometimes an issue when this group goes out. Friendly service, would definitely go back again!

I’ve gone to the Connies on North State and also had it in the recent auto show. Although the service is decent, this pizza is horrible. The slice is nothing but bread. Keep in mind, I’m a big bread fan, but this was complete overkill. And the cheese, sauce, and pepperoni were nothing out of this world that could disguise the thickness of each slice. I won’t come back.

This is the best pizza place in Chicago. You can get deep dish, but their specialty is wood fired pizza. They have great combos of ingredients, or you can choose your own. The wine list is decent and prices are good. Definitely give it a shot, you won’t be disappointed!

We were in search of Chicago deep dish pizza and came across Connie’s. It is located next to Morten’s steakhouse and you have to enter a residential building to get to the Connie’s entrance. There are signs as well to point you in the right direction because it is not on the main road. The restaurant is dark and has seating and a bar on the left side and then wraps around the glassed-in garden. You look out at a courtyard that is a bit dated and the décor is just a little dark and heavy in the restaurant. I saw that they have local beer options on tap and a few wine options. We had the original pizza that is one of the favorites on the menu and has been served up since 1963. You can see the pictures on the walls and Connie’s is served at Chicago ballparks and food events so they seem pretty popular. The pizza took about 30 minutes and our server checked up on us a few times while we waited. The crust on the original pizza is not as thick as a deep dish but not thin either. The crust has a unique and flaky taste. There was lots of cheese and the large was generous where we took some slices home. If you are in the Gold Coast area, this is a good option for lunch and we were able to save $ 5 by checking in on Unilocal

Worst Fried Chicken EVER!!! It had been awhile since I had Connie’s, so I thought I would try it again. BIG mistake. I ordered the fried chicken and minestrone soup. The chicken tasted like they coated it with sand paper. It was dry and tasteless. The fries tasted like they were prepared with the same sand paper method — very dry and tasteless. On the plus side, the minestrone soup was pretty good — a lot of tasty vegetables and surprisingly yummy little meatballs. As far as the service, it took well over an hour, and I only live a few blocks from the restaurant. Prior to tonight, It had been about 8 years since I had Connie’s, and I’m sure it will be at least another 10 years before I have it again.

Home Run inn is mu favorite pizza. But Connie’s multi meat pizza or the one with onions/blk olives/pepperoni/sag/etc never disappoints. Connie’s is my backup joint.

While being a tourist for a day with my step daughter and her friend, we stopped in for some Chicago style pizza on a Saturday afternoon. Walking in at 12:15pm my daughter asked«Did they just open or are they going out of business?». Very astute observation as there was exactly one other table in the entire restaurant for our lunch. One. I’ve never seen that in Chicago during lunch. Lack of customers is usually a red flag for me, but we were all impressed with the loaded fries and large deep dish cheese/pepperoni pizza. Well, the cheese made me violently ill because I haven’t eaten that much dairy in awhile(It was COVERED in cheese), but it tasted good and the girls liked it. Our server was very friendly and helpful. I used a Groupon to pay and the bill came out a bit wonky but I didn’t try to fight it because I wasn’t in the mood. All in all, a pleasant visit even though the atmosphere was dull without anyone else around for the meal. As the other reviewers state it’s hard to find– it’s located in the first floor of another building– go in the main doors and it’s on your left.

We should’ve known to turn around when we walked into this place & it was empty on a Thursday night. Probably the weakest pizza I’ve ever tasted, and with the price tag I expected so much more. Just save your money & a trip here. Dominoes does a better and at 50% of the price.

Connie’s delivers to my building, and my friends in Bridgeport swear by their pizzas. I’m a big fan of New York style pizza. I can only do deep dish when friends come to town. Connie’s is your regular style pizza. It’s sturdy regular pizza with a decent crust, and good quality ingredients. I like their sausage. They let their dough proof perfectly, so when it bakes it’s very good and airy. I’m a fan of their calzones but be careful. They’re spotty. You can tell when people who don’t like calzones make them, because all the filling is lopsided. It’s very frustrating. But the secret to a good calzone is the dough, since it’s not covered over. They do put ricotta cheese in their calzones as is appropriate(should I say the spinach calzone). When will people understand the difference between a calzone and stromboli? Gads!

First time being at the location, talk about a busy place, on a Thursday and it was nice out. Great décor and more up to date then the other location on archer. Food was hot and fresh. Staff members were awesome unlike the experience I had at the other location. Groupon has a great offer so look that up. will be back.

The fact that Connie’s responded to my review within 24 hours earns them a star back. They care about their customers and their feedback.

I know it sounds generic to say that pizza is one of my favorite foods, but Pizza is one of my favorite foods! Unfortunately I didn’t get good pizza :(My love of Pizzanos is borderline stalkerish and I even have them on my speed dial. I remember noticing Connie’s and decided to mix things up and order delivery from them. The girl that answered the phone was really friendly. I ordered a small mid crust special(sausage, green peppers, and onion). Delivery arrived on time and I was hungry. Upon first impression I already missed my square cut pizza slices, but who cares as long as the pizza was good. It wasn’t and quite bland. The sauce was weak, the cheese was overpowering, and the crust had no unique flavor. The only thing that was borderline okay was the sausage. For these pizzas to be priced as some of the best(Pizzanos, Lou, etc…) I want to find at least one thing that’s better than the others and I could not. Probably won’t be giving them another try for pizza, but may try the other food and dessert items.
