I was attending the IHHS show and there were not many food options so I did not have high exoectations, but this place proved that even bad can get worse. The pizza was disgusting and overpriced.

They have THEBESTPIZZA. But sadly they do not care about their customers in the slightest. As a high schooler I took a trip to McCormick for marketing. They handed out a coupon that looked like one free slice and one free drink with admission. But sadly THEYSCAMMEDME. In small print it said ONLYSEVENDOLLARSFORSLICEOFPIZZA. They would not let me return it after they scammed me and I had to ask someone else to help pay for me. I was embarrassed, and also shocked they would go for suck a money grab.

Worst service ever! Lady working at stand had the hospitality of a junkyard dog screaming«All I have is sausage!!!» As long as the line was, we had no clue what type of stand was there, and many of us were returning the yells with«Sausage WHAT!?» The lady behind the counter became agitated and told us to get out of the line… We didn’t of course, but certainly should have. The stand workers moved glacially and were unconcerned about the length of the line(my guess is 75 – 100 people). When we finally did get the pizza, it was cold and mediocre at best… Make sure you dine before your conference.

Worst pizza I have ever had in my life. Disgusting. I don’t understand how it could be so terrible. I would have rather eaten a piece of white bread with ketchup and American cheese on top. So disgusting. And got flour all over me. Horrible.

The dining choices at McCormick Place are very limited. Furthermore, the bar is set pretty low when eating at a convention center. I wasn’t expecting much, but I was in Chicago and I wanted to enjoy some deep dish pizza. I knew that it wasn’t going to be great, but Connie’s looked better than the McDonald’s across the way. After flagging someone down to take my order(this was pre-show, but there were still people working), I grabbed my tray and proceeded down the cafeteria-style line. I gave my card to Ms. Apathy 2010 to pay for my single slice and soda which needed to be run a few times and proceeded to the rather spacious seating area and searched for a table that didn’t have crumbs or smears on it. Pizza was not great, but acceptable until I hit the cold patch in the center. Seriously?

I was here for the 2013 Chicago Police Test, and I noticed there was a Connie’s Pizza in the corridor between Halls A1 and B1 in complex. I didn’t buy anything; it was closed, but it was there. I checked in and I am reviewing because if you are in Chicago, go to a different place, anywhere, for pizza. Connie’s is not that good; go to Pizzeria Uno/Due, Lou Malnati’s, or Gino’s East for Deep Dish/Pan, or Art of Pizza or Giordano’s for Stuffed. Connie’s is pretty low on the food chain when it comes to good pizza. Sorry not sorry.

We all know that McCormick Place was ill conceived from the perspective of food amenities. I mean how did they envision tens of thousands of people only eating in a narrow food court or the McDonalds located in the North Building. Nevertheless, Connie’s Pizza is housed in the McCormick but it seems like the owners don’t really care. This quick serve place offered some of the most disgusting foods, including Pizza and stale salads. I am not sure why the owners don’t invest a bit more time and money into the location as the traffic must be quite considerable. Unfortunately, poor food and service does not bode well for the entire organization. I would recommend avoiding Connie’s Pizza and perhaps consider the Hyatt hotel or McDonalds for decent food. All the best and good luck in Chicago!
