If you’ve ever asked yourself«what is the worst McDonald’s location in Chicago?», look no further than the one in the McCormick Center. It has just the right combination of sticky floors, dirty tables, overflowing trash cans, surly employees, and incorrectly made meals. As another reviewer mentioned, they have no competition, and thus no reason to be any better than their current level of terrible.

I ate here one day and you know, McDonald’s is what it is. This place can get quite busy during a large conference and they do their best to get you through ordering, paying and obtaining your food. They have both inside and ‘outside’ seating in the main conference area with plenty of room for groups big and small. It does its job and that’s fine, plus prices seem comparable to a regular McDonald’s(they don’t hike it up just because it is in a convention center).

I paid about $ 13 for three sandwiches and they weren’t made correctly, but the staffing levels are so low that the line is literally out the door. So I’m just going to suck it up and assume that a franchisee with an ever-rotating captive audience can just keep being Basil Fawlty and not suffer too badly from unsatisfied customers.

A McDonald’s express, but still has a fairly comprehensive menu. The prices are a little higher, but there still is an adjusted extra value menu. The lines move quickly and you get your food relatively quickly as well. It is a slightly cheaper alternative to the other available conference food.
