Conte’s Pizza

This is a restaraunt that I have gone to quite frequently and have enjoyed many times over the years. It has been my go to spot especially being close to home. HOWEVER this Easter Sunday I chose to not cook for a change and enjoy some sweet lil olé Conte’s pizza and a nice glass of red wine. I got home, sat down, had a few slices, and was enjoying my wine. I decided to have one more slice and put the rest up. I look down at a piece that I had taken a bite of, and wondered what this strange «seasoning» was that was pertruding from underneath the cheese. I took my fork and lifted the cheese and I will be DAMNED if it was a full grown nasty ass freaking ROACH!!! After spitting the bitten piece out and throwing up in my mouth, I called back to the restaurant and was met with poor customer service and the statement «we don’t have roaches». Well … Apparently u do Hun because one of your boys made it to my pizza and got baked on in. The young lady on the phone instructed me to bring the pizza back per my I inconvenience, and I could receive my hot $ 13.50 back. After returning to Conte’s with the roach pizza in hand, DOA ON ARRIVAL, and showing it to her, I was met with her own disgust and an explanation that she would show it to her manager. I left with my coins never ever to return. Conte’s customers BEWARE. Such a disappointment for a place that I used to enjoy. I will be making pizza at home from now on. By the way the one star I provided was only because it wouldn’t let me post without one, trust me it’s ZERO stars for me forever.

the food is good and comes hot, but be ready to wait about an hr to receive it. I usually buy during lunchtime and it takes over an hour to get the food (I live about 15min away). I’m sure that the driver is waiting for more orders before they drop the food off.

The best fried chicken anywhere! Always perfectly prepared and crunchy but not greasy! Try it tonight

Worst place ever. Not only was my order all wrong but the guy I talked to about it was a complete asshole. They charged me extra for something I did not get and he didnt do anything about it. Also my pizza was not even cut right. I had to cut basically the whole pizza myself. Pizza was ok but the service here sucks. They put me on hold about 4 times. Dont recommend.

Call me a critic, but I wasn’t a fan of Conte’s. I came in for a slice and left disappointed. My friend who lives in Scottsdale suggested it since he knows how much I enjoy pizza. Considering it’s on what I call «Pizza Road» (the area of Pulaski between 79^th and 87^th), I expected it to compete with places like Vito and Nick’s or Waldo Cooney’s. Simply put, it didn’t. I left disappointed and I really can’t see myself returning. I give this place two stars because the service was friendly. I can’t give an opinion on the rest of the food, so please know the entire review is based on their slices. Maybe one day I’ll try them again, but for now, it doesn’t seem likely.

The pizza is decent when ordering but the pizza by the slice is better $ 6 for 2 slices fries and a pop is one hell of a lunch special cheese burgers and chicken sandwiches are good also

The pizza here is very good. Big slice quick. Prices are amazing. Plus I think Mario from super Mario bro’s is the owner.

Pizza was really good. Had special where I could get 1 topping jumbo pizza with these 7 huge wings and a liter of rc. All for $ 20. Ton of food for price. Very happy.

Better than most pizzas, at an affordable price!
They are usually punctual with their estimated delivery time, unlike most that always take longer than what they say. Recommendable!

Shoutout to Monica the cashier for being awesome. I know this a pizza place but I have to rave about their chicken nuggets, for some reason they are da bomb! Perfect breading and always crispy! Good and fair prices will always be coming here!

I absolutely love the pizza from here! It is the best pizza place to me for now, I haven’t tried out Veto & Nicks pizza yet. I recommend their spicy fries and vegetable & pepperoni pizza! You will not be disappointed! The food here might seem somewhat pricy at first, but trust me, it is worth it!

This place is awesome… Pizza is good. But my favorite item are the buffalo style whole chicken wing I’ve had them 3 times this week… Pizza slices are always available and there a decent size…

You know Ive never had this places pizza however I have had there burger and fries. It was really good. They make it fresh for you right there takes about maybe 5 minutes but its worth it. This place has a small store front with a small amount of seating inside. Id call your order in ahead of time and just pick it up, because once you walk in it can be very cramped feeling. Especially when you get more then yourself in there. walking sideways and maneuvering around people to get out can be a hassle. BUT the food is worth it! have and will continue to recommend this place. Also note they do have delivery available for a 2.00 charge.

The pizza from Contes is actually pretty good, my family and I have ordered from Contes on more than one occasion and have always been pleased I’ll give a perfect raiting when i try something other than the ‘ZA
