Looking at the previous reviews, this looks like a cool neighborhood place. I was in there once under new owners and the previous reviews seem to be right on. As far as clientele, most appear to be courteous and«over serving» overall is minimal. This comes from a resident in the area during The Fourth of July 2015 celebration. A patron(?) of the bar decided it would fun to explode«bombs» not in his/her own neighborhood, but in the backyard/alley beer garden starting at noon and ending, well, it is 7:30PM now and the«bombs» are still going off every 5 to 20 minutes. This activity pretty much wiped out backyard activities for the kids for about half a block. I am a vet and very pro 4th celebrations, but if I feel the concussion at a reasonable distance from the activity, it becomes unnerving. Did I say the«bombs» started on the evening of the 3rd? I understand it is difficult to keep or control some inconsiderate a****** especially when that a****** is fueled with alcohol. Just one more thing. After interviewing some of the homeowners of the immediate area, I found they are unhappy that some patrons ignore the«residential parking only» signs. Please don’t do that. So have a safe and happy, rest of the 4th. Slawn-cha!

Solid Irish«tavern»…very Chicago. Not clique-ey like some other Irish bars in the area, the lads here will actually chat with you. Great seisun on Thursday nights. NW side prices, and beer garden. What else ya need?

What a great surprise this place is! I happened in on a Thursday night and there was a session going on. Amazing musicians! Sessions on Thurs and Sun and The Craic plays Sat night. The quality of the music is fabulous! Great sound, great tunes. Very fun, real Irish, neighborhood bar.

This is a real Irish bar, not one of the prefabricated pseudo-Irish places that seem to be everywhere. It has basically a neighborhood bar atmosphere, but with certain touches that tell you that the patrons/owners truly identify with Ireland. Definitely a neighborhood feeling, there were older people and what looked to be family groups. Later in the evening night a couple of men who looked like they were in their 60’s came in with their wives, all dressed up, seemingly finishing out a night that had begun somewhere more formal. Apparently this bar is presenting live music on a regular basis, particularly Irish music, which I otherwise would not expect with a small place like this. The night I went there was a really good trio playing a mix of U2 covers and suchlike as well as Irish traditional tunes. Some people got up and danced even though there was no dance floor, sort of like you might at a house party. Anyway, nice place, friendly, good music, laid back atmosphere, and inexpensive drinks. A good place to relax.
