Ran in for lunch and was the only person at the order counter. 3 minutes passed, then someone came over to the salad line where I was and said«Do you know what you want?» ‘Great’ first impression. Screwed up my overpriced order. Cashier was less than thrilled to be there and reflected in her tone and overall demeanor. There’s a reason I haven’t eaten at this place in years… I now remember why. Avoid. Lots of other options right next door!

I decided to grab a quick lunch at Cosi while attending a meeting at the Fairmont Hotel just down the street. The restaurant is located in the Pedway system. On arrival it was a little chaotic since there was no clear line and after some shouting from the employees behind the counter it became apparent that there are separate lines for sandwiches and salads. This dual line system works for taking orders, but is clearly inefficient for paying and picking up food. Some patrons receive their food before paying and others do not. The cashier is at the opposite end of the counter so some people can pay and leave while other are left to track down their order. This led to a lot of confusion for some. I ordered the turkey avocado on white. All sandwiches are served on flat bread. Unlike other sandwich chains where you get to choose your toppings, you cannot do this at Cosi. Luckily my mystery toppings seemed to work, but it was very over priced for the serving size. This place works if you are super hungry, don’t mind getting herded like cattle through invisible lines by angry workers, and have money to spare. My second day I walked a little farther in the Pedway and found many more exciting and fun options.

The strong lack of clarity in ingredients is very worrysome. None of the people working there can tell you what the ingredients /allergens are in any of the items. Supposedly, according to one cashier, there’s an ingredient list up front, but it’s never handy when I go in. I’ve tried them several times, and each cashier looks dumbfounded when I ask what the ingredients are in something. Even as simple as the lemonade.

Signature Salad rocks. Nice employees. The pedway location isn’t the best, but you can always take it to go.

This review is for the Catering Services at Cosi. I ordered an early morning breakfast for my office and it was great. Cosi arrived on-time and set up the breakfast perfectly. The catering manager also put in a special breakfast for me. She said that so many times the person ordering the catering is not the one enjoying it, so she likes to take care of them… what a sweet touch. I ordered a greek yogurt bar along with pastries, bagels, and a fruit salad and it got rave reviews. Breakfast catering is usually so carb-centric, it was nice to the variety of the Greek yogurt and all the toppings. A couple days after my catering order, I received a sampler tray of their lunch items as a Thank You. Shocking. Can you say customer experience all star?

This Cosi is in the pedway where I work so I grab something from them at least 4−5x’s per month. I used to go there daily to get the strawberry parfait yogurt parfait for breakfast before they switched up the granola. The one they use now is way too sweet. Anyway, I’m writing this review to comment on the lobster sandwich, which I believe is one of their seasonal specials. Wow. That was delish! I was expecting mostly«lobster flavored» mayonnaise but this took me by surprise! Large generous chunks of fresh tasting lobster. I was totally full and satisfied after eating this. I’m not sure how long they are offering it, but if you like lobster, get it while you can.

I almost never eat at Cosi, but was enticed today by a new offering on their menu: Korean Pork Rice Bowl. So I get it, and then after some general confusion with the staff and needing to confirm that it was the KOREANPORK rice bowl and not the adobo chicken one several times, I left with my bag. When I got to my office, I opened it to discover that my ~$ 9 purchase had gotten me a tiny bowl of what was essentially all rice with perhaps two microscopic pieces of pork and a sprinkling of greens. Barely worth maybe $ 5 let alone $ 9. So I went back, and to the manager’s credit, when I explained how unsatisfied I was with what I received, she had them give me a double order of the meat and veggies without question, which I accepted as I was starving and didn’t want to deal with picking somewhere else to eat. So props to the manager who was very nice and professional about the whole thing. It tastes ok to be honest, but this rice bowl offering is clearly just an attempt by Cosi to see how little actual«food» they can dust on top of a bunch of rice and charge a fortune for. Stay away.

A great spot to grab a quick lunch in the city. I had a bowl of tomato bisque soup and half a sandwich, and it was just what I needed. The service was quick, and we had our food within 5 minutes. They also had one of those crazy cool coke machines that you can have just about every flavor you can ever think of! The sandwiches are in more of a flatbread, so they are not super bread heavy. The environment is very Panera like, which is never a bad thing. I would definitely go back.

Not as good as I remember it from high school! I feel like I’ve been writing a lot of negative reviews lately, but in all honesty, I just haven’t been that impressed. The lunch line service was fast and efficient, especially the girl with the checklist for ordering your sandwich, which made it a pleasure to grab a bite there during my super short lunch break. That being said, I remember the bread being just to die for when I used to eat at Cosi all the time, and my sandwich last week was mediocre at best. I may get a little more experimental in my ordering, but I’m not in a rush to get back.

It’s a suitable breakfast or lunch spot. Their bagels are deliciously chewy. Their sandwiches and salads are good. Beware of the douchebags who pick up their sandwiches and walk straight over to the registers without noticing the line of people waiting to pay.

I know of this place. A cosi little place. Where you grab a small bite to eat. I know of this place. A cosi little place. That will quinch your thirst as well. Cosi is a fine addition to the small amout of places I can eat at in the Michigan Plaza when I am attending a weekend worth of classes at Argosy University. I enjoy the Tandoor Chicken Pita(I believe that is what it is) and a delicous fruit slushy. I really enjoyed the spice of my sandwich and the atmosphere of the restaurant. If you are in the area or you see a Cosi around you, then I sugest you take the time to visit and Have Fun!!!

This Cosi has a new manager and wow, what a big difference that makes! And I also like the new menu! My usual order when I do eat here is their hummus and veggies sandwich with carrots.

Cosi has yet to disappoint me. I’m trying to lose weight and eat healthier but I’m getting a little sick of salad every day. Cosi had a few low-fat sandwich option. I looked up the nutritional info online for the TBM Light and was surprised that it actually wasn’t too bad. The bag of carrots served on the side could be a bit bigger or maybe offer another option line an apple but otherwise, it was a nice change from a salad. While eating, the staff passed out free fresh baked asiago bagels. While not exactly in line with my diet, it was a nice treat.

If you’re looking for a fairly resonable lunch downtown, I would recommend going here. It’s also nice that they post the nutrition information. I like the Shanghai chicken salad as well as the signature salad. It comes with a piece of flatbread that is quite yummy. Great lunch spot!

Man, you are freakin’ kidding me – $ 14.50 for a sandwich, drink, chips and a cookie? In a freakin’ recession? I won’t bother with a long review – everyone else has done a brilliant job of describing the food and«chaotic» process of ordering your meals and paying for them. I do NOT understand why this place has survived for as long as they have with the pricing structure people get suckered for. I used to eat here a lot back in the mid 00s. Last week I stopped by for a quick bite with a friend only to find that the same meal I used to order just a couple years ago for $ 9, maybe $ 10, is now a whopping $ 14.50. A 40% increase for food and beverages in TWOYEARS! Cheap bastards – you guys STILL hide napkins behind the registers and dole them out like they’re gifts.

I have visited this Cosi during my office lunch hour(noon) about twice a month over the course of the last 6 months. Today, I made what I plan to be my final visit. I waited less than 2 minutes in line, only to wait 15 minutes for my sandwich to be prepared, and then watched it be given to someone else, even though it sat next to the order slip with my name written on it. Because of all the noise and commotion behind and in front of the counter, it was impossible to get the sandwich-maker’s attention, and a manager was no where in sight. I was there with 3 friends. One of my friends who ordered before me had to practically fight a woman to get her food as the server almost gave it away(also with an order slip with my friend’s name written on it). My 2 remaining friends only bought drinks/chips to sit at a table with us. I was so frustrated that I left the restaurant and walked 45 seconds away(this location is in a food court) and was able to pay and be served in less than 3 minutes. The process of ordering and fulfilling orders at this and all Cosi’s should be changed to something that makes order contents and order recipients easier to determine. Perhaps the number system similar to Corner Bakery? Until there is some sort of format change, Cosi(especially THIS Cosi) will be my last choice for lunch.

Ordering in this place during lunch hour is kind of a pain in the arse, who designed it this way? It is not logical to come in and walk all the way to the other side to order(while jammed in a corner with other noon time lunchers) and work your way counterclockwise to pay. It’s kind of confusing because you never know which line you’re in. The sandwiches are pretty good but a little pricey since the bread is kind of thin. Cosi isn’t my first choice for sandwiches but sometimes it hits the spot… when i’m starving.

I used to love Cosi a couple of years ago but I think the novelty has worn off. I have been to several locations around the loop and this one is closest to my office. This is the smallest Cosi that I have been to so it can be crazy when it’s the lunch rush. I love their salads and their sandwiches are OK. I mostly order the chicken BMT but opted for the«lighter» version today. I think the person making my sandwich got it wrong because it clearly didn’t taste too light to me. There was barely any basil on my sandwich, bummer! Sign up for a Cosi card and you can earn points towards a free sandwich! Buy 10, get the 11th free. Can’t beat that! Try the Shanghai chicken salad, Cobb salad or the salad bruchetta and you will be in love!

I really loved Cosi when I discovered it quite a few years ago. I feel like the food isn’t as great as it used to be, but it is still good. My favorites include the signature salad, TBM and Hummus with veggies. The new pepper chips are very tasty, and do not cost more than the regular chips. I think I really just love the bread here, especially when you get it warm. The line situation at this location can be very confusing. It can also be confusing when it comes time to grab your sandwiches, especially if it is a day where they are not taking names. I heard that train new people at this location. Who knows.
