I visited there today, 9⁄1 and found the restrooms to be completely disgusting. In addition, tables were not cleaned, and the soda station was a mess. I did speak to the manager about those problems and he was receptive, but all in all, I’ve definitely been to better Cosis and will not be back to this one.

I actually would give Cosi 4 stars, except it’s permanently closed. That deserves a 1 star. It was a pretty solid location otherwise with friendly staff. I’m sure a lot of them will end up back at the Clark and Lake one.

I occasionally temp at an office on Wabash and Hubbard and this is one of the closest lunch options around. I like Cosi because they have so many different options. Their signature salad is awesome(you had me at blue cheese) and I love the flatbread that comes with most meals. They have a mean tomato basil soup here and once a week they have an awesome turkey chili. I have sampled most of their sandwiches and salads and like all of them. It has been a while, but I have come here with friends for the smores. You get all the smores fixins and a little bunson burner type thing and get to make smores tableside– totally fun. The final reason I really like Cosi(at least this one) is that they have those new digital pop machines where you can make crazy flavor combos with all the Coke products. My personal fave: any of the minutemaid lemonade combos or cherry-lime coke zero.

I love Cosi. They have the best tomato basil soup. I also love the tuscan pesto sandwich. My complaint is that I was standing there for around 5 minutes before I was helped. So the customer service here sucks. And my food took around 10 – 15 minutes and it wasn’t even busy.

Compared to other Cosi’s I’ve been to, this one is. alright. The service is excellent, just like at other Cosi’s. The people are friendly w/o being obtrusive. And, most importantly, they don’t seem to mind if you camp out for a few hours while you work or study. What I find lackluster here: 1) the internet service is bad. Really, really bad. I get disconnected a lot or end up with such a slow connection, my emails don’t send. Sometimes, I can use the Nordstrom’s wi-fi instead. 2) it’s cold in here! I’m not sure where you can sit so that you’re not in a drafty spot. 3) There are no booths, which might help with #2. 4) not very many outlets. Probably to discourage too many people like me from hanging out all day on the weekends. In my defense, I do buy an entire meal and then snacks, if I stay for a long time.

I first stumbled upon this place in San Francisco, so I was delighted to find that it made it’s way to Chicago! Who doesn’t love SALTY homemade bread? Their signature salad filled with cranberries and chicken is out of this world. Pair this with the pasta soup and you have me hooked for life.

Breakfast was a treat. I was a Cosi virgin, and enjoyed the experience. Not too busy, so excellent service. Cosi Omlette Squagel plus — all was quite good, especially the oatmeal on a cool Chicago morning. Beats the Convention Center food in every way…

I love Cosi’s. My fav is the Tuscan Pesto Chicken sandwich. I love that they use flatbreads and that we have the options of either having chips or carrots. Sometimes it’s good to pass on the chips and go for the healthier route(carrots). The restaurant itself is nice and seems pretty uniform compared to other locations. This location has a really cool drink dispenser and it’s funny watching how people figure out how to operate it. It’s like the dispenser of the future. Or to better visualize. it has a touchscreen menu and it scrolls through very much like an ipad and it’s apps. Looking for how to simply get ice or water into your cup can take a bit to figure out. Although this can be a bit of a hassle for noobs, it’s quite an entertainment/discussion piece. I took one star out since they cost a little more than what I’d like to spend.

I love Cosi! I used to come here at least weekly when I lived in Chicago, and now I make a point of having at least one of my meals here whenever I am in town visiting. I crave the Signature Salad with chicken, but the other salads and the sandwiches are great, too. And you can’t beat the warm flatbread! I love the atmosphere, here, too — much preferable to other similar chains like Corner Bakery or Panera. The only thing that would make me like Cosi more is if one would open in Dallas!

This Cosi location is clean and quick. I’m a huge fan of their new Chicken Queso Tortilla soup, but I get it without the recently added tortilla strips. And it’s only available on Thursdays. I also enjoy their salads, but I always ask for the dressing on the side, as I find when they dress it, it’s overlay soggy. I have not tried their sandwiches or pizzas, but those I’ve dined with have enjoyed them. Cosi also offers free wi-fi.

I was quite impressed when I came here for a late lunch one afternoon. I had the hummus sandwich, and was pleasantly surprised to find it had fresh basil leaves on it. I also had their three bean chili. Which was quite good. It’s filling, and has a bit of sweetness. Periodically, they brought out biscotti which was set on the utensil island. The atmosphere is quite relaxed. It’d be a good place to study or have a lunch meeting, though I’m sure it gets busy around lunch time. Overall, the place has a nice feel. There’s plenty of really good vegetarian and vegan dishes here. Everything I tried was very good, and a great value for the money, especially given the area. The freshness of the ingredients makes it that much better, and all of the little touches that go into their dishes makes this place a winner in my book for casual lunch or dinner.

The newness and«coolness» of Cosi has worn off since it was a special treat during my college days in East Lansing and I had never before been. I think the food is still good, but just not as special as before. I also find my usual Chicken TBM lacks consistency. Sometimes it’s just right, other times there is barely a spec of vinaigrette on it, and sometimes there is waaay too much dressing. Two things I do really like about Cosi are the sandwich/beverage card and the breakfast offerings. It seems like everyone has discontinued their sandwich cards(panera, subway, etc.) but Cosi still has one and I think its a great way to reward loyalty. I certainly enjoy getting my FREE sandwich! I also like the breakfast, it is priced really well and super filling. A little bonus, they seems to count the $ 3 bagel sandwich as a full entrée credit. All-in-all, its a reliable lunch or breakfast place, but nothing that will absolutely blow you away.

Cheesecake makes everything better… I was feeling a little down today, so I went to the Cosi near work to indulge myself in their $ 1 cheesecake. Today it was caramel pecan-yum! It’s not always $ 1, it’s a limited time thing where the dollars goes to charity, which is great itself. I didn’t even know they had cheesecake until I got the email a couple weeks ago informing me of the cheesecake promotion. Sweet! Normally, I would go to Cosi for lunch – salad or a sandwich. It’s definitely a treat, not a regular thing, because $ 7 for a sandwich or a salad is pretty steep in my book. But, it’s always a great experience, as I’ve never tried anything I did not like. Favorites: Buffalo Blue, Chicken TBM, Signature Salad, etc. The bread is tops… Whole grain flatbread – yummy. The service is always pretty good. The line system seems pretty efficient. If you’re dining in, they’ll give you a number card so they can bring the order to your table when it’s ready. Otherwise, you go to the back counter and they’ll call your number and you can pick up your order. Usually goes pretty quickly. Again, my only gripe is it’s a tad expensive. I used to come here a lot more often when the Red Eye would have $ 2 off coupons, which would bring the prices down to something I would more realistically pay. Unfortunately, they don’t seem to run those coupons any more. Bummer.

I was walking around downtown looking for a quick place for a late lunch and came across this familiar place. It’s in a corner location behind Magnificent Mile so it’s easy to spot. Then I realized that this place used to be at Valley Fair next to Macy’s Women for a short time. It was connected to Macy’s and to the mall. I had the half Grilled Chicken TBM(tomato, basil, mozzarella which I realized after I ordered the food… uh duh!) sandwich and half Greek salad. It comes on their specialty flatbread which reminds me of a pita, not your typical sandwich. The food came out pretty quick and tasted the way I remembered except a little too much on the vinaigrette dressing on the sandwich. It was nice to eat here as there isn’t one back home in the Bay Area anymore.

I’m torn on how to write this review because every morning I go through mental turmoil persuading myself not to go in and get a cream cheese bagel and a latte… the coffee is better than most, the bagels are the best I’ve found and I won’t be hungry again until 3pm, and the whole lot costs $ 4. So, taking shelter from the rain to find lunch I went in here today after running away from the bitchy lady in Nordstrom(I literally hid behind a rack of dresses, I had forgotten to go pick up something I had on hold and she seemed like the type who would hold it against me). They had run out of bagels, which was very upsetting. But I thought given the high standard of their bagels, their sandwiches would surely be ultra amazing, since they are 4 times the price. Uh, no. The maths of economics has always passed me by and it did so in this case also. A sandwich and a coffee now cost me $ 12 and the sandwich kind of made me nauseous. It was wasabi beef, and had all this weird dressing dripping out of it, the lettuce was floppy and stale. The bread was ok, but I really really yearned for a bagel and my $ 6 back. Plus points for letting me sit there and read my book for nigh on an hour and a half, and for the sandwich being ready before I had even managed to take my coat off and sit down. Moral of the story: don’t run away from scary Nordstrom people, the result is a bad lunch. And Cosi: please make more bagels.

I just experienced a sandwich miracle. Running late back to work from the gym, famished and having forgotten to bring my lunch, I popped into Cosi for a sammich. In the span of time between when my cashier handed me my change back and I shoved it in my wallet, some staff member presented me with the sandwich I ordered ONESECONDEARLIER. Damn! (oh, and it’s a fire roasted veggie and really tasty!)

Five stars for the free wi-fi. But there are a couple of problems with it. 1) If you use Outlook or similar email software your outgoing emails may not be sent. 2) Not many outlets for power. The staff is very friendly and the food is good and there are healthy options. However it is pricey for a café. Sandwich and a drink with tax will set you back about 10 – 12 clams. Maybe I am cheap? Or poor…

Didn’t know Cosi serves breakfast. We came here for breakfast since it’s near our hotel(Marriott-Downtown). The Italian omelet sandwich was good… it’s a combo that comes with a coffee about $ 4. WARNING: You can’t change the coffee to tea-you actually have to pay for the tea even you don’t want coffee! Weird…
