Good restaurant for a quick meal. If you have the munchies or need to sober up and want some Mexican food this so the go to place. On my last visit I had the steak burrito dinner and it was very good compared to the chicken I had before.

Awesome little Mexican place on Taylor Street! I recommend coming here if you’re craving Mexican food. They have a great selection of tacos, burritos, tostadas, and more! The prices are very reasonable, and the service is great! It’s a cool place to sit and eat if you’d like, or you can also get the food to go. I would try to come here for work when I had time to, and I haven’t been disappointed yet!

This place is ridiculously awesome. The carne asada(steak) Super Burrito is to die for. The quality and freshness of the meat is unmatched. I travel several miles out of my way, sometimes several times per week, just to have that Steak Super Burrito. If you dine in, you get free chips and dip. It’s a family owned restaurant, and let me tell you, they work hard. They remember their customers and have always treated me like family. This is definitely a jewel of Chicago cuisine. The place also has a small lift at the entrance making it handicap accessible.

Tacos are excellent but waiting for my food took a lot longer than I thought. Definitely recommend doing take out.

I’ve been eating pretty healthy so far this year. Shockingly enough I’ve been able to will myself away from high cal stuff, but god do I miss burritos. I haven’t had one yet in 2016 so perhaps I’ll just write about them whenever I get a craving. You may see ALOT of burrito reviews from me. Anywayas, I had De Pasada before the break and they’re good. No, they’re damn good. The super is huge and filled with your choice of meat rice, beans, lettuce, tomato, sour cream and guac. No crazy tweaks or twists. Just a big ass tasty burrito for about $ 10. They give you free chips and salsa if you dine in which is always a plus, and your food comes out ultra fast. Alright that’s enough thinking about them for one day or I’m gonna cave.

De Pasada De Pasada… I LOVE me an authentic Mexican taco! Corn shell and cilantro is a must when it comes to authentic. One major tip: if you want light onions just don’t order any at all! Lawdy it was onions overload. I mean big, chunky and thick onions. Major turn off. Other than that disappointment, the meat was flavorful but the tacos were so small in size. Sorry I won’t be back. Great sauce, great meat! Way too many onions and tacos are too small.

A coworker of mine spoke very highly of De Pasada as a lunch option during the workweek since we work close by. Since then, I’ve been to the actual location a few times and have ordered delivery for dinner once. When dining in, you get the complimentary chips and salsa. The chips are on the harder side, but still good — the salsas are wonderful! Both the red and green have a kick to them — the green is spicier. I LOVE the red. I went alone once and literally had 2 bowlfuls that I ate with the chips and dumped all over my meal! The veg burrito is my go-to. For 6 dollars, it’s a great deal — good size and delicious! The tacos are pretty good too, and a good deal at about 2 dollars each. I’ve had the gordita and torts, but wasn’t as impressed(my torta experience was when I order delivery late at night and the bread was very dry and unappetizing– so it may have been since I ordered later in the day). The server is always super friendly and comes by often. And food service is generally fast, which makes it an ideal lunch spot. My only critique is that I wish they didn’t allow people to choose where they sit. You have the people who think they need a table for 4 if they’re sitting alone and the restaurant doesn’t let more than 2 people sit at a table for 2(for good reason, it’s a smaller restaurant and they need space to walk around) — so if you have people who don’t want to move from a table of 4 to a table for 2 when they’re sitting alone, you have to wait for them to be done.

Came here after enjoying some serious whiskey and needed to get some eats inside of us. We decided to call and order takeout since the gf doesn’t live far from the place. They told me it would just be about 15 minutes which was fine. We ordered 3 carne asada tacos with everything on it in addition to steak nachos which came well recommended on this site. The nachos were good as it came with all the usuals like steak and the chips(of course), jalapeños, cheese, guac and sour cream… tomatoes were missing from the mix though. The tacos were very weak as the flavor from the meat was nice, but the taco seemed very dry. Even adding the green salsa didn’t help and they must have forgotten to give us the red sauce. The horchata was very good and helped wash down the dry tacos. Would come back for the nachos but not the tacos. The girl that answered the phone and manning the register was very nice though.

Cute family owned restaurant. Had the carne asada burrito. Delicious! I’m from Arizona and the salsa and meat is better than most places in the southwest.

i love this place. They have a perfect size menu. very friendly staff. I recommend the steak(grade A) or chicken(seasoned and pulled) super burrito. horchata is great not watery or too milky.

Great steak tacos and super steak burritos. The skirt steak tastes great and both options of burritos(onions+cilantro or lettuce tomato cheese sour cream beans and rice) are amazing in their own ways

Ordered the steak fajitas. One word. DONT!!! OVER Abundance of ONIONS, only a few slices of tomatoes, couple slices of bell peppers… the steak was sub pat at best. Honestly I only ate a few bites and threw out the rest.

Their Mexican food is okay. But they are not very consistent with the quality. I’ve been here many many times now. My favorite dish is lengua(tongue) taco and fish taco. But sometimes the fish taco can be overcooked. I’ve tried their beef taco but again sometime it can be too salty or overcooked. I would give them five stars if only Pilsen is not nearby. But if I’m too lazy to bike to Pilsen, I would go there to eat. Also there is no signal there if you are t-mobile.

Had a really good experience here. Customer service was good even though they were really busy. The inside is pretty small, but if u want to dine in you can, just try to avoid coming with a really large party. They have a flat screen TV as well which was nice to watch the Cubs game while I waited for my food. The food is really good and I would definitely come back. The ground beef and chicken tacos were my favorite. I didn’t like the Barbacoa as much, it lacked a little flavor in my opinion. Beware of the green salsa… it’s is extremely extremely spicy. I enjoy spicy, but I couldn’t take too much of it on my tacos.

Love their food! This place has the best tacos de asada and tostadas. Another favorite is their chilaquiles, which they often make after breakfast hours too. The green salsa is on the spicy side, so stick to red salsa if you’re not that into hot food.

I recently started coming here a lot because I moved a block away. The food is decent is the location is convenient since I live in the neighborhood. I would’ve kept coming here, but as of today I won’t. I am writing this review right from the restaurant right now however because I am horrified by the way this waitress has treated me and my boyfriend, but particularly me. She came to our table, took my boyfriend’s order, looked over at me and saw that I was looking at my phone(I was just reading an important email that couldn’t wait) and said«Not ready?» with a nasty tone of voice and just up and walked away. I looked up from my phone right away but she didn’t even give me a chance to speak. She turns her back on me and walks away. Then she comes back a few minutes later after she takes a different table’s order and serves them water. I just thought that was incredibly rude and disrespectful. It’s one thing if the place is really packed and busy but it’s not so she really had no excuse for being impatient with me. BUTWAIT, ITGETSEVENBETTER. She deliberately didn’t give me water. She gave my boyfriend water and she didn’t give me water. When our food comes out, she brings it to our table without a word. At least we are polite enough to say thank you, but we get no response. Nothing. And we know she is capable of speaking fluent English because we hear her talking to the other customers. Okay, what is your issue, woman? Just because I was on my phone when you came to our table, you decide to give us the worst service possible? I’m sorry, does your restaurant have a no cell phone rule? Maybe you’re having bad day. But don’t take it out on your customers unless you want us to stop giving your restaurant business. Lucky for you, we won’t ever come back. Just a little tip(since you won’t be getting a monetary one).

Ordered tacos and nachos. Tacos tasted blah. Nachos — LOTS of cheese melted over few chips. Service? Not sure if they know what that is. Would not go back or recommend this place.

I have never had any bad experiences with this place. I come here often so the cashiers know me(if it’s your first time you need to bring an ID if you’re paying with a card and you also need to order a minimum of $ 8 to use your card). Food here is made quite fast especially if you are doing take out. They usually have the food ready within 5 – 10 minutes. I usually get tacos and rice and beans. The chips and salsa are great, the rice and beans are phenomenal. I am usually picky with my rice and beans and I like that it’s flavorful here and that they melt a bit of chihuahua cheese on top of the beans. The carne asada, ground beef and lengua are all delicious. Never bad but it’s not the best Mexican food compared to those in Pilsen or other more authentic spots. The horchata is also great but sometimes they run out which is a bummer. I live in the area and this is the only place I can get decent authentic Mexican food. Thumbs up.

Its good but it would be better if they didn’t always mess up my order. Other than that, foods pretty good. Sometimes the tacos are really salty but otherwise its decent.

Not bad, but not fantastic. I had the carne asada taco, chile relleno taco, and the chips and guacamole. The carne asada was a bit tough/chewy and not chopped as finely as I’m used to seeing in a Mexican street taco. It was also not very well seasoned and needed, at the very least, salt. Other than that, the onion and cilantro was fresh. The chile relleno taco was something I’d not seen elsewhere. I love chile rellenos, and I enjoyed this item. I got the«Super chile relleno taco,» so it included lettuce, tomato, and sour cream which went well with the chile relleno. The guacamole was much too bland for my taste, and the chips were stale. Bummer. The service was fast and friendly. Credit cards accepted with an $ 8 minimum purchase.

This place is pretty good. A solid B+. I was a bit disappointed with the fact that the food came half an hour early and was still kind of cold and congealed. The flavors were great, though. I suspect if I went to actually eat there, I’d be pretty impressed.

Tacos here are awesome. I love the rice n beans too! Seating is a bit sparse, so try to get in before the lunchtime rush. Food is very well seasoned and I will be back for sure!
