I returned to Deli Time the next day to buy my lunch(I know… it was my only choice that day) and when I was paying at one register(avoiding the woman from the previous day, who was at the other register), she came over and stopped the woman ringing me up and said, «I’ve got this. This one is one me.» She proceeded to apologize and give me a free lunch. Well done, Deli Time. I Not sure if it was because of Unilocal or that I wrote to their Web page, but I never dreamed I’d get a response. Apparently fine customer services isn’t dead after all. Grateful, because as you can see, I got there a lot.

This place must love the fact that Bennigans closed down! Where else can one go on a cold winters day? I had a meeting at our O’hare office and so this was the easiest and closest place to grab a bite. I have to say, not bad. I had the salad bar and soup. Both were good. The salad bar was fresh and had a good variety of selections. I luckily didn’t get the stomach issue that some of the other reviewers mentioned. My co workers got the make your own sandwiches which they seem to enjoy. The prices weren’t bad either. Pretty basic stuff but good if you are looking for something easy and reliable.

I like Deli Time, but I warn everybody to stay away from the salad bar. I don’t know what it is about their salad bar, but I have had co-workers on more then one occasion, and myself included, become stricken with a strange stomach virus that causes you to run to the bathroom more often then not. Otherwise, its pretty decent food. The have a pretty small variety of hot panini’s and sandwiches — but the menu isnt too extensive. They serve breakfast also, but I have never gone in for that. Plus they sell your normal corner store type chips and snacks too.

Deli Time was a favorite of mine when I worked in the complex. Not because the food was great, or even cheap for that matter. They had the BEST hangover breakfast I think I may have ever had. When I worked in the area, a lot of heavy drinking was required of me. I didn’t want to, honestly, but I left that office everyday with the knowledge that I’d have to go right back again in the morning. I mean, what else was I supposed to do to cope??? [Ha ha, just kidding. Potential employers: Drinking is evil and that’s my official stance. I never swallowed.(It worked for Bill Clinton and marijuana!)] The ham, egg n’ cheese on an english muffin was awesome, as was the breakfast burrito. And if I was still feeling the aftermath of the previous night’s festivities, I would have a grilled cheese on texas toast or pannini. If not, it was super easy to make my own salad. There was always ample seating, much like a high school cafeteria, where my classmates… I mean coworkers and I would congregate to not-so-discreetly vent our frustrations.

I will say that over the past couple months Deli Time has really gotten a lot better. It is the«default» place, if you will, for employees of the complex to grab a quick bite. Since September, they have introduced a few new menu items, including the chicken taco salad and the crispy gourmet pizzas. The prices really aren’t too bad either. The staff is pretty friendly as well.

Just ok. Unfortunately there are not a lot of eating options around this office park. This is the best place by default. They have a salad bar where they charge by the ounces, a grill that serves hamburgers, gyros and weekly specials, and a sandwhich area. Food is better than what you would expect, but not earthshattering. Décor is kind of lame.
