In today’s crazy real estate market, you need experienced real estate agents to help you understand all of the recent rules and market conditions. Definitely consider working with Joe Zimmerman and his right-hand lady, Amber, who made my husband and I’s home search a priority. When my husband and I started looking for houses, we initially needed an agent for some advice and to check out a property with us. A friend recommended Joe Zimmerman who met with days later on a Saturday. He not only walked through the property but asked all of the questions we didn’t know to ask. Once we realized it wasn’t the place for us, he asked us what we were looking for and based on our answers gave us some suggestions for how to proceed in finding a house. Joe followed up a few days later with housing listings that fit our wants. He sent updated listings every week and would call/email to see what we liked or were thinking. After many months of looking and having a few deals fall through due to market conditions, we finally found the house! Joe helped in this a great deal because he kept opening our eyes to new neighborhoods that we hadn’t originally considered – either due to price or location. We now have the home of our dreams and are so grateful to Joe and his team of rockstar assistants who helped us navigate lots of paperwork and the many steps to buy a home. We had no idea who to call but Joe and Amber had people for every step of the way(mortgage broker, lawyer, inspector) since we were first-time homebuyers. They were also there every step of the way – attending the inspection and closing and a few trips to the house to make sure the house was cleaned out before we closed. Better yet, Joe and Amber have helped numerous times since we moved in with fixing a broken fridge or providing contacts for contractors or restaurant recommendations. NOTE: Joe seemed well-versed in every North side neighborhood we looked, including West Town, Ukranian Village, Wicker Park, Bucktown, Lincoln Square, Lakeview. Some realtors we encountered during our search didn’t seem to know a lot about the neighborhoods where they were showing homes. Kinda bizarre.
