Depot Diner

Had to see if they duplicate my first experience. Went there yesterday with my bro-​in-​law (he had never been there) and ordered the exact same thing as I did on my first visit. The same waiter was there as was the cook. Food came out quickly and piping hot! Fantastic is all I can say!

This is a Great American Diner that has been victimized in my opinion by some questionable political…,.$$.,… !
I viewed many local news blurbs about possible infractions… it just does not add up! PETTY I$$UES! (No, not Tom Petty) The original owner was shut down… Diner «CLOSED».
STORY LINE
Don’t jump off the proverbial bridge just yet! It’s open under ‘new management’. A recent visit confirmed a 7-​day operation!!!
The original owner had a vision and a passion for this place…“traditional diner cuisine” characterized by a cook working a stainless steel flat top. This dude set this place up outstanding.
Bottom line: Breakfast Anytime? Good!
Bottom line ‘2″: Anything on the menu served at any time!!! BEST

The new ownership is worthy of the challenge. People have to get over new management as I did. The quality remains, and yes they have a „Blue Plate Special“.
EPILOG
Our lovely server is working the small dining area holding two hot coffee dispensers. She eventually reaches our location and asks my girl…“More Coffee»? A slight nod indicates .”.please”. Minus any eye contact, our lovely sever glances at my Pot Roast Sandwich Plate with question…“More Gravy”???

Im glad theyre finally open again!!! My #1 spot for hot turkey sandwich thats for sure. Im at the point where I dont even consider ordering them anywhere else. Im spoiled forever!!! Place is really clean. Prices are reasonable. Service is excellent. Definetely worth stopping in for a bite. They also serve a really good dounuts w/​mocha sauce that just blows me away!!! DELICIOUS!

Same-​ish menu, but the quality and attention to detail has unfortunately declined. Some things are similar to how they used to be — the fries for example aren’t that far off. But if you have fond memories of this place from its heyday a few years ago, you’ll most likely be underwhelmed by its current incarnation. Hopefully they can work out the kinks and return this place to its former glory, but it just isn’t there right now.

I’ve been to the Depot twice since it reopened under new management. Miguel is once again working the grill and the food is excellent. It is really nice to see a more extensive breakfast menu.
