Doll in a Dash

Lesley did a phenomenal job with my lashes. She knew exactly what I wanted after maybe a minute of talking. Not is she very talented and detail oriented, she’s so much fun! Most fun I’ve had while getting my lashes done thus far! Love her!

I had another amazing experience at Doll in a Dash with Lesley! The main reasons I love coming here is :
1.) She is a professional. For a service at this price point, you want someone who knows what they are doing. Extensions is what she does all day every day of the week.
2.) I did my research, and this beauty boutique consistently (over many years) has happy, repeat customers – myself included now. She has an excellent track record for good quality hair extensions that last and look natural.
3.) I leave looking like I have celebrity hair! It’s not too over the top (very natural. In fact, no one has ever suspected my hair was not my own in the 10 months I had them on).
My most recent experience: This was my third application of a klix hair extensions with Lesley. I came back after enjoying my full head of beautiful hair extensions for a little over 3 months. I originally decided to get hair extensions because I wanted more volume and and a dramatic change in length. I love that these extensions do not use glue or tape for application, which has caused extensive damage to my hair in the past. I also love my klix extensions, becuase I can treat them as I treat my normal hair… I wash them regularly, dye them, and get them blown 2 – 3 times a week.
Removal is a breeze;. After removal, which took maybe 20 minutes, my natural hair looked great still (healthy and as full as it was before I had extensions, what a relief!)! I had a new set of klix extensions applied, and I love them!
Lesley is the BEST hands down! She’s extremely experienced, does such an amazing job, and truly knows her stuff. She’s smart and detail-​oriented. I am soooo happy to have found her
My advice to those who try extensions, make sure you take care of your hair investment! Brushing and caring for them will let you enjoy them for a long time and your natural hair will not be damaged from matting/​tangling! Mine definitely will last longer this time around now that I’m experienced with caring for them.

That’s it… I will say it… Lesley is the eyelash queen!!! I will be with her for the long haul!
It was my first time getting eyelash extensions and was a little scared on the whole process. She was so patient with me and explained the entire process and gave me tips on how to keep my lashes in great shape. The application was so relaxing too. She has done a great job with making her space so comfortable, clean and welcoming. Lesley as a person is so sweet, considerate and a true professional in her craft. If you ever have any questions or concerns all you do is send her a quick email and she responds right away. Same goes for scheduling. She has a super efficient online booking system that makes booking a breeze as well as the fact that she has the best and most accommodating hours i have foun dyet!
My lashes look so natural and beautiful. It is one of those things where you know something is different but it is not a crazy change. She can customize a look for you too just tell her exactly what you want. Compared to other places I have researched, her prices are beyond reasonable for the quality of work she does.
I really would not go anywhere else, happy to have found her!

Lesley is awesome!!! I’m a perfectionist in some ways (crazy I know) and what I love about Lesley is how particular she is about her work. Not only is her work fantastic, but she really makes you feel relaxed and genuinely cares about her clients. It’s also an added bonus she has a flexible schedule (on top of being very responsive) so you don’t have to book 3 months in advance to schedule time. I would recommend Lesley to anyone in the city; worth every penny

Lesley is the sweetest, most friendliest person ever and you should definitely get your eyelashes done by her. She is amazing at what she does and super accommodating and welcoming. I felt like I was going over to a girlfriend’s house, but you could also tell that Lesley is a professional and knows her stuff. This was my first time getting eyelash extensions done and Lesley made sure to educate me about them. The hour and a half of application flew by because we were chit chatting away — Lesley just makes you feel relaxed and at ease. If you’re thinking about getting eyelash extensions, just DO IT and make sure you go to Doll in a Dash! I promise you will come out just as satisfied as I did. I hear Lesley also does special occasion styling and hair extensions so I may try out those services as well in the near future.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. Lesley is a miracle worker. I was super skeptical about eye lash extensions and did hours of research for several places in Chicago. I asked about every possible question that could be asked and ended up going to Doll in a Dash out of the 50 places that I researched.
Let me say that I am SO glad that i did! I walked in and Lesley was welcoming and got right to work. She made sure to educate me on what to do etc.
Best part, my lashes look phenomenal. They are natural but give me that exciting kick that I needed. They are more full and the length is perfect. I have big eyes so she knew the exact length to make them look just perfect. Thank you Lesley!

Lesley recently did my hair for a boudoir shoot and she was incredible!!! So professional and thoughtful and quick and on top of everything. She made sure not only to do a beautiful job on my hair quickly bit she also did changes and touch ups for 2 other outfits and kept the whole show running smoothly and made me feel great!!! Lesley is outstanding at everything she does!

I’ve been getting my lushes lashes done by Lesley for the past 3 years. I’m in love with her and her ability to make my eye lashes look fabulous. No matter if I’m at the super market or a party, I’m always getting compliments on how beautiful and natural my eyelashes look. I’d love to tell people they are real but I’ve got to give Lesley the credit. I was totally nervous about eye lash extension when I first went and now i’m hooked. Highly recommend Lesley.

I agree with all of the posted reviews! Doll in a Dash might just be my favorite Chicago find. Not only is Lesley Herbert brillant at what she does, she is personable, reasonably priced and maintains a flexible schedule. I have tried several lash spots in Chicago and they were either too expensive or the quality was just too cheap. Lesley solves for both of these issues and her location is great! Perhaps against my more selfish desires, I continue to sing Lesley’s praises to my friends and because a gem like this is so hard to find, I couldn’t help but share on Unilocal

I am hooked on having my lashes done at Doll in a Dash (and I’m in my 70’s). Lesley is a great technician and a real perfectionist. She treats you like she would treat a friend and makes you look simply beautiful. She NEVER makes you feel like she is just there to get the job done as fast as possible and move on to the next client. My lashes often last for a month. Lesley really knows and loves the business and also keeps up on the latest lashes and lash products… so you know you are getting the best. I have had to go to other technicians while on vacation or out of town but nobody has ever done as wonderful a job as Lesley. She is also conveniently located downtown so you can have your lashes done at lunchtime or after work… very convenient! If you are thinking about getting lash extensions or are not happy with your current technician… give Leslie and Doll in a Dash a try. You won’t regret it. Carol S

I have been getting my eyelashes done by Lesley for over two years now, and she is absolutely the best hands down. I would not go anywhere but Doll in a Dash. Before I went to her I went to another place and they destroyed my lashes. Lesley is meticulous about the work she does, she is a perfectionist– making sure your lashes are as perfect as possible and she never cuts corners like some places do. I get so many compliments on my lashes, and when I tell people they are extensions I am always told they look so natural and not fake like other extensions people have seen. Lesley is also always up on the latest products and keeps her workspace very clean. Lesley is also one of the nicest people you will ever meet, I always look forward to my appointments. She makes you feel very comfortable and relaxed, and you know you are getting the best!

I cannot even explain how much I love Lesley and Doll in a Dash! I get stopped on the street so many times that I should permanently promote for this company! Seriously, I love the attention to detail, how long they last, and of course spending time with Lesley. She is such a wonderfully sweet, knowledgable, and kind hearted gal that does a fantastic job with lashes as well as hair! I get my lashes done once or twice a month and I am truly hooked. She cut my extensions for me and also did an amazing braid for me on my birthday and they looked fabulous. I always leave looking and feeling like a princess.

I love Doll And A Dash. I used to get my eye lashes and hair extensions from Lesley. My hair extensions lasted 8 months. Which is unheard of. If I did not move away I would still be going to Lesley. She’s great at what she does! I highly recommend

Doll in a Dash is great! I always have wonderful experiences there! Lesley is so attentive, polite and helpful. She is very knowledgeable and patient and make sure you are aware of what you are getting so that you are sure to have the look you desire. My lashes come out so full, long, and natural-​looking every time! It is quiet and relaxing in the service room… a.k.a. my nap time. Haha My lashes last a month! Definitely check out Doll in a Dash if you want awesome nails & compliment inducing lashes.

I LOVE my lashes! They last for three weeks and look so natural! Lesley is just a gem! She’s so great at what she does and she has an amazing ability to connect with people. She helps you find the perfect lash length to suit you, but will also go a little longer if you like. Very accommodating and very relaxing. I highly recommend her!

Lesley has been doing my eyelashes for over a year and a half and I can tell you that every time we get done I am VERY satisfied. What I love about her, is that she works very carefully, uses great quality materials, has great prices, is very flexible and super friendly. Also if one day you would like to change things a little, tell her, don’t hesitate, as she always tries to do her best so that you feel beautiful and fully satisfied with your new amazing eyelashes!
