Never have I experienced worse customer service and a complete lack of respect than I did with East Coast Moving & Storage. DONOTUSETHEM! My husband and I made the mistake of using East Coast in our move from Minneapolis to Manhattan – not only were we charged exorbitant fees(despite having a signed contract that stated fixed costs), but some of our items arrived broken and some items are still lost and missing. Despite having contacted East Coast several times, customer service fails to answer and, to date, we have received no updates as to where our missing belongings might be. I will NEVER work with East Coast Moving & Storage again. Despite having a thorough paper trail of our signed agreement and deposits paid, when it came for our items to be delivered, we had to pay an additional $ 500+ in fees or East Coast threatened to hold our items. Save yourself the headache, stress and unethical extra fees and work with a different moving company.

moving from Miami to AZ. Total liars. Don’t believe anything they say. Jack Clemons lied about the promised delivery date to get me in the door and underestimated the price of the move which cost more than twice the estimated amount. You will get gouged by these hucksters. Stay away and use a decent moving company or you will be sorry about using these tricksters. Besides that the delivery driver charged me an extra 225 for bringing in my stuff and may have pocketed the money. I gave them tips but trust me you are going to be taken for a ride.

We used East Coast Moving and Storage for packing up our things to move from Chicago to Kansas. I would not use them again or would i recommend them to anyone. First of all they charge for tape. It’s $ 3 per roll of tape and they ended up using 27 rolls of tape for about 20 ish items. They taped them up like a 5 yr old would, all over everywhere. That is annoying but the thing that really pissed us off is the time it took to actually pack and load everything. They had 3 guys there the entire time. One of the guys was clueless on how to pack the items. Once nearly everything was loaded they went down multiple times to the truck to count all the items because they would forget to put the number tag on it. Then they didn’t know how to measure for more space since we «needed» an extra 50 cubic feet of space. They came at 9:15 am and they left just after 1 pm. Way too long for that many items and guys that were there to load it. Then they guy wasn’t even positive on how to add everything up so that was reassuring and not time consuming at all. To top it all off it was crazy expensive. Any other movers would have been better. Do yourself a favor and find other movers!

Horrible company. Do NOT use. We requested delivery 5 days after pick-up date. I noticed in the quote that there was a 14-day delivery window clause, but the sales rep assured me that was just a formality and that our furniture would be delivered on our requested date. It is now 9 days after pick-up date, so I called customer service and they told me that«we don’t have a truck available to deliver your furniture». How can you not have enough trucks when someone has been waiting over a week for their belongings? Then I asked when can I expect it to be delivered and the response was«I can’t tell you when but by law we have 14 days to deliver». I’m thinking to myself why did that sales rep tell me it could be delivered on my requested date when in reality they deliver whenever they want. This is horrible business principle. Just because your contract allows you 14 days, it doesn’t mean it’s good customer service to expect your customers a to live without their belongings for 2 weeks. In addition, the move distance is only 800 miles, which can be driven in 12 hours easily. They charged 3000 $ for this, and I wouldn’t even call this a service– it is a HUGE disservice. Will be reporting this business to higher authorities.

Wow — I cannot recommend these folks enough! From the moment I got on the phone with them, I could tell that they were established professionals. East Coast kept regular and clear communications with me. They respected the things I had marked, «fragile», and made sure I was at ease with the way they were packed. Moving is stressful in so many ways. I am glad I went with East Coast and did not have to stress about this part of the move.

OMG! East Coast Rocks! From start to finish they were great! I received their full packing service and they crated all my fragile items. Such a great value especially for the fact the move came up last minute and there was no way I’d be able to get my whole house boxed up in time. The delivery was on time to me in Florida which was such a relief as well! Thanks East Coast
