I have been on a delivery meal plan off and on for 2 years or so. The problem with said plan, same thing every 5 weeks and you did not have any options. This plan also was 3 meals a day for 7 days. I felt horrible wasting food if I had a dinner planned. So, I started the search for an alternative meal program and found Eat Like the Pros. The delivery dates are Monday(order by 10am Friday) and Thursday(order by 10am on Monday). I am so impressed with the quality of food. Everything is flavorful and fresh. There are plenty of options in each category: entrees, veggies, starches, breakfast, snacks, etc. And a variety of calorie counts depending on what your need is. Everything has been delicious and made me think… how did they get all of that flavor into a 225 calorie piece of fish or chicken. They deliver the food in a cooler bag with ice packs. You leave your bag out the night of a deliver and the driver swaps out the empty bag with ice packs for a bag with food & ice packs. Very simple. They deliver(usually) by 6am. I think the cost is reasonable for the quality of the food and compared to some of the other organic programs. There is no minimum order. I tend to use Eat Like the Pros more for dinner meals, some lunches, and snacks. I am on my own for breakfast and some lunches. I am very happy and excited to try new meals. The other positive is this program is gluten free and soy free. The prior plan I was on included a lot of breads and pastas. I do eat gluten… but it is much more limited now. I feel so much better on this program and have more consistent energy. Highly recommend!

Back in September, I began searching for a food delivery service for reasons of convenience and to stop myself from eating so much! The criteria were:(1) good food,(2) portion controlled entrees, and(3) reliable delivery. Early in 2010 my favorite food delivery company sadly went out of business. My first rebound was with Choice Eating, which proved to serve tasteless and sometimes inedible dishes. Fortunately, Eat Like the Pros fits all of my criteria. Here’s the process: Their website lists all of the entrees(breakfast, lunch/dinner, snacks) that are available during a specific week(the menu changes weekly). Each item is available in different portions(ex. 300, 600 calories, etc.) that you can choose from. After you choose your items via their website, your delivery is at the front door around 5:30 a.m. It’s that simple; you never have to wait for a delivery guy. Most importantly, the food is spectacular. It’s like having your own personal chef where YOU get to choose what you want to eat(instead of having one prefix menu). My favorite entrees include the beef stew, thai coconut chicken, and the brisket. I highly recommend this service for busy professionals or those who need a little portion control to lose weight.
