Best no-chip manicure I’ve ever had. Also they are very polite with good customer service. I’ll definitely come back and they have free parking spot at the back which makes easier.

I tried out this salon for the first time this week, and it’s definitely my new neighborhood spot! I was hesitant given the reviews, but I really enjoyed my pedicure here. They took my appointment although I came in just before close, and the technician did a wonderful job!

I’ve written a review of the mani/pedis before(which I adore) but this one is for the massage that is now offered at Edgebrook Nail. Her name is Tina(supposedly) and her small frame had me worried that my massage might not be all that awesome. But I was(thankfully) so so very wrong. This pint sized woman did things to me that I’ve only read about in books. Ok, not that dramatic but it was a hella good massage. I especially liked that she mixed different forms of massage. It started out very Swedish and then moved into deep tissue and shiatsu. My neck and shoulders tend to be my problem areas so she used some hot stones there. Finally, she climbed on my back and did some thai massage type of stretching and pulling on my arms and legs. Once I got over the surprise, I realized how great it felt. The massage felt very customized to my needs and I certainly didn’t expect that from the back of a nail salon. Plus first time customers get a free 30 min facial after the massage. And all that for $ 65! Get over the back of the nail salon environment and you’ll enjoy a kickass massage. It’s worth it. Oh, and free parking behind the salon.

My mani typically lasts 1 – 2 days before chipping. This time, I lost half the polish on 2 nails just two days after. They’re overpriced for the quality, and service is not friendly. There’s a shop across the street, just a few doors west. It’s small, but their service is the friendliest, & if it chips, they fix it.

I had gone to Edgebrook Nail Salon in May and was very pleased with the manicure and pedicure I received. I went back again this month and it was probably the worst manicure and pedicure I have ever received. When I called to make my appointment I told the woman who answered that I wanted a manicure and pedicure and that I currently had a no-chip manicure on my nails. When I arrived for my service a young man was brought over to do my pedicure. It was the quickest pedicure I’ve ever had done(total time 15 minutes from the time I sat in the chair to polish being completed). The guy only trimmed my nails — I had to ask for him to file, push back the cuticles, clean under the nails, use a foot scrub, moisturize. He then kept commenting on how bad the tan on my feet was(weird tan lines from sandals I wore). I laughed it off, but how rude! When it was time for the manicure he complained for a full ten minutes not only to me, but to every other employee and customer in the place because I had a no chip manicure that needed to be removed. He didn’t soak it off, he just peeled the manicure off. When I asked him to soak it off he said he didn’t have time because the salon was closing soon. When he was done PEELING the no-chip off my nails he proceeded to complain about how bad my nails were. He kept getting up from the manicure station to walk around, complain to the other employees about my nails, and do a bunch of heavy sighing. I asked him to just trim the nails and put a clear coat of polish on. Prior to painting I paid for the service using a Groupon I had. He complained that I was using a Groupon and then proceeded to tell me, multiple times, that I should tip off the cost of the service($ 40). I had given him a 15% tip to reflect how terrible of an experience I was having. As soon as he hastily painted the last nail he told me they were closed and I had to leave and then got up and walked away. With wet nails I changed my shoes, dug out my car keys, and left. I will never come back!

I don’t know what spa Mary has been to, nor the others, but their reviews don’t sound like they’ve been to Edgebrook Nails Spa and Salon!!! More like the salon at the corner of Devon and Central, Lee Nails, which I’ve been to also. NEVERAGAIN. Love coming here! Have been a client for over five years. The price is reasonable($ 36 for mani/pedi), the place is bright, airy, and spotless, and the girls very friendly. I get a mani every week and a mani/pedi once a month. The mani lasts more than a week if I go longer, and the pedi lasts a whole month! And I’m NOT talking about gel mani/pedis either! You don’t need an appointment, and they are VERY accommodating. A shoulder massage is given at the end of every mani. Perfect way to end it! They’ve recently added facials and massages, do eyebrow waxing and chair massages also. HIGHLYRECOMMENDED!!!

I went to Edgebrook nails for the first time and it will be the last time. I hope many potential customers read this and they do not go. The place is dark and dirty and smells. Most of the girls cannot speak English well enough to understand them. The manicures are simply terrible and also over priced. I think this shop employs workers who do not know what their doing. Cheap Labor!!! If I saw the picture that was left with the review before I went I would have never went. ITIS A TOTALWASTEOFMONEY. My mother and I have been visiting this establishment for about 2 years. When we first arrived, our experience was astounding. Both of us never had been more pleased. However, as the years passed, I’d have to say their quality has gone down. There used to be a small staff of 3 very hard working women. Now there are about 7 women(one of which is part of the original three) who are just mediocre. The price is a fixed $ 36 mani/pedi rate. However, it would be in your favor to search elsewhere, if you are looking for a mani/pedi. I have also received a back massage once and a bikini wax multiple times. The back massage was nothing special. However, the bikini wax was never awful. The woman is one of the original three who is very careful with what she is doing. I can’t remember the rate, however it was cheap compared to other places. Overall, I’d have to unfortunately say that there are better nail salons in the same area for the same price.

Been here twice for simple manicures. The first time was OK, except while I was under the dryer, this guy in a white lab coat comes over and starts rubbing my shoulders. I am not a «touchy-feely» person so needless to say, this came as quite a shock since I was not forewarned. Second time I had this very tiny girl giving me the manicure & back rub. Now, I dont know if this was done on purpose or not, but when I paid for the service up front($ 14), no change came back. I had to ask twice for it. Now maybe they are in the habit of just keeping the change as tip, but to me, that is about 45% and I think I should have the say in whether or not I give that out! She seemed weirded out when I swapped the $ 6 for $ 2. Otherwise, the salon itself is very neat & clean and done up in bright, cheery colours. They offer massage(obviously, unless my lab-coat guy was just a creep, haha) as well as waxing, all of which seem to be very decently priced. Unless you are handing out 45% tips though.
