Found it revolving door at corner of North and Sheffield. Then go up the escalator. Styled like a typical Greek diner in Chicago. Jury is still out. mid-high pricing. I ordered an omelette a feta, spinach, tomato and mushroom. It looked bright and fresh. There was hardly any cheese. Quiet tasteless. I’m thinking chain restaurant w pre-measured portion control and medium–«good» quality food instead of? It might take a few visits to really decide about this place. Less but approximate taste to Carnival Cruise food.

CLOSED. But while it was open, food was pretty darn good. Sort of a shame, poor location.

The place was empty which wasn’t a good feeling to begin with. Fluffy omelets… my friend ordered no cheese… and it came with… cheese. She sent it back and waited a long time for the replacement. We had fruit flies all over the table. I called over the«manager» and he just stared at us and then walked over to a lady sitting in a booth and conversed with her. When we were finished we had to call him over to pay at the register. Would have given this restaurant 1 star but the omelet was tasty. The feel of the restaurant was not clean and cared for. I’m going back to Nookies.

Decent food, a bit overpriced for what you get but terrible compared to all the other breakfast options in Lincoln Park, but we ran in here because we were shopping next door. I will definitely go elsewhere next time. Awkward service, the server disappeared and then finally appeared when we were almost done with syrup for pancakes and hot sauce we had asked for while we ordered. We ordered grapefruit juice and the server showed up with half a glass, showed it to us and said«this is all we have left, do you want it?» Said no thank you, and she just left without offering any alternative.

I have tried almost all of their menu items and have been satisfied with everything. My husband loves their traditional diner hash browns which(I guess) are hard to come by in the city. I would highly recommend this restaurant to large groups and families. You don’t have to wait to be seated.

I always enjoy coming here. It’s easy to park in the building and shoot right into the restaurant. Get stamped. The people are friendly and it’s very spacious. I’m setting more and more business lunches here.

One star solely for waiting for our food for legitimately a little over an hour. Bf and I came here around 12:30 Sunday and there was only a 15 minute wait. We wait the full 15 minutes and were seated in the back. We noticed that there were a few empty booths next to us, which would have been the ideal seating option, but also that we should have been seated sooner as they appeared to be empty for some time. Bad taste in my mouth already starting. Our waitress was a sweetheart and she warned us that they are busier than usual today, though that may not be the appropriate response, as the restaurant wasn’t at 100% capacity, as when we were seated, the restaurant started to clear out a bit. If anything, the kitchen may have been heavily understaffed. I did enjoy that a whole pot of coffee and pitcher of water is left at your table for you to enjoy. Coffee was pretty good. Our waitress did come by regularly. After a full hour, she let us know that our orders still weren’t ready yet(2 skillets). However, she did bring us out extra pancakes for us, which was nice. Finally, the rest of our food comes. My mushroom and spinach skillet was actually quite good. Veggies were fresh and plentiful. Bf found his to be a touch too salty, but he did order the meat filled skillet. What was even disheartening was that I noticed a couple who came in a half hour after we did, got their food before us. Further more, two guys who came in well after us(about an hour) received their food in a timely manner, literally just five minutes after receiving our food, so we could have came in an hour later and received our food at the exact same time. Definitely don’t blame our server, as she did what she could and the near empty restaurant I guess was the explanation for the faster service for the other guests that I saw. Whatever the reason was for having to wait over an hour for our food, it’s intolerable. That is the exact reason restaurants go under. Lucky for them, they are a chain and have a bit more cash than most. I actually did enjoy my food which was surprising, as already critical of the place. However, overall experience just left such a bad taste in my mouth that I won’t be returning, at least not for a long time.

Our server was great… she was on top of eveything… sadly the food was not… steak skillet was small and flavorless… looked like a gooed boiled mash of things… all the ingredients in the lox platter looked old and tasted a bit leathery… oh man! Really not good… overall, overpriced and not that good :(

Loved the location of the place. Walked in and immediately viewed an orange squeezer and my first thought was to try the freshly squeezed juice and I did just that. Most heavenly orange juice I’ve ever tried and tasted in my 23 years of existence on planet earth which is no fabrication. That gets this place 5 stars alone. Tried a chorizo omelette which turned out very good along with two fluffy pancakes that actually tasted like pancakes and not just batter out of the box. Waitress(forget her name) was a very pleasant and upbeat woman. Also the server at the juice/breakfast bar was a down to earth guy being that I am new to the city and answered all of my unnecessary questions. 5 stars plus some.

Went on a Sunday at 9am. Coffee was above average, organic, and came with a pot for the table which is great. Cream was actual cream, not from the little packets or disposable cups. Doing well on the coffee front. Also on the beverage front, a pitcher of ice water was at the table with a lemon and coaster, nice. I ordered a scrambler. Eggs were fluffy, wheat toast was whole grain, fruit cup had one large chunk of pineapple, watermelon, muskmelon, canteloupe, and some red grapes, pretty standard but all tasted pretty fresh. Banana pancakes were loaded with bananas on top. Also fluffy. Parking is tricky to do legally, but they validate for the garage next door for $ 5.50. Very walkable anyway. In the end, I’d lean toward 4.5 stars, but the food was missing that super special extra something to knock it into the 5 star ranking. Solid though, Will be back.

Oh my GOD, is this place good! I’ve always avoided going to Eggsperience because it’s a chain and I’m a snob, etc. However, I had a long afternoon of work one day last week and stopped in here for lunch just because it was the closest restaurant nearby. Immediately I was intrigued by the menu: strawberry cheesecake pancakes?!? How could anyone not get that? I ordered them and was in heaven. Amazing fluffy pancakes, yummy strawberry cheesecake stuff, and sausage links on the side. Along with my yummy orange juice, it was a perfect meal. Probably a 45,000-calorie meal, but an amazing meal nonetheless. Service was fantastic, and I left satisfied and so full that I didn’t eat again for 24 hours. Love me some Eggsperience!!!

Food is always solid. As I work in the building it’s a great pleasure to have a nice restaurant convenient located. Ruben and Perry are both excellent managers and always handle everything professionally and efficiently. Everything from the burgers to panini are excellent. Also love the sweet potato fries! The cheddar broccoli soup was unfortunately extremely salty the one time I ordered take out and the French fries weren’t cooked. But that’s the rare instance.

THE place to visit after a night of drinking & dancing. Being open on Fridays and Saturdays til 5 am helps too! Be warned if you come during the weekday– closes early! This mecca closes around 4pm M-Th. Found this out the hard way. Pricing isn’t too shabby($ 10 – 15 for entrees) and portions are generous. Omelets are ridiculously fluffy and the wait staff is quick with water refills. Food tastes standard, wait is okay(quick to 10 minutes), but the convenience of being somewhere warm & fed at 3am is unparalleled.

I love this place. Great food in huge quantities. Friendly, attentive staff. They validate parking for the first hour. I’ve never needed more than an hour because they are so quick. I’d strongly encourage you to order an omelet. A friend got a scramble once and it wasn’t the best. They definitely make great omelets. The Bannockburn Green is my fav. You can also upgrade your pancakes to a special. I love the strawberry cheesecake. I’d recommend you check it out. If you park there, take the elevator to the 3rd floor, then the stairs down to 2nd. It’s kind of confusing.

More like a 3.5. Great location and they validate for the parking garage. Servers are really friendly and service is quick and efficient. Food comes out quickly. I always get the Barn Omelette which comes with broccoli, onion, tomato, spinach, cheddar, and Swiss cheese. So good. Hash browns are extra crispy. My bf’s had the Tommy boy skillet and the eggs Benedict, both were delicious. My brother in law liked their corn beef hash. Pancakes are pretty good.

My 1 yr old daughter and I had brunch on a Sunday here. I had a good experience… or should I say…“eggsperience”! Sorry, had to throw that in… Really though, the food was excellent. My daughter had Mickey Mouse pancakes and I had the Apple-Walnut French toast, and OMG… it was GOOD! Definitely superior to an IHOP experience, no comparison. The atmosphere is also great. My daughter also felt comfortable and enjoyed as I did. Our waitress was attentive, but seemed to be rushed. I didn’t take it personal, as she got her job done. On another note, yes, the prices are higher than other breakfast places, but it’s well worth it. Also, sadly, you can’t find parking outside due to such busy area, so you pay $ 5.50 for garage validation-parking. It isn’t too terrible though since it’s not like we are there every day. I say give it a try.

Treating myself to a late breakfast! For the record, I am one of those people who usually skip/bypass breakfast on a regular basis, and yes, I have heard for like 50 plus years that breakfast is considered to be the most important meal of the day. Honestly, most everyday I’m just not feeling the breakfast thing, but today, I’m not quite sure why I was craving a really great breakfast. And, that’s exactly what I got at Eggsperience on North Avenue. Now, I have admitted that I am a Groupon Groupie and yes, the reason I chose Eggsperience this morning was because, you guessed it. I purchased a Groupon Deal for it, and it was a good Groupon Deal $ 20.00 worth of food for $ 10.00! And, gotta say, when I have gone out for Breakfast to other restaurants none of them even compared to the quality and deliciousness of my Eggsperience Breakfast. I hardly ever make/eat eggs here at home so when I am able to have them it’s a treat for me, and this morning I had 2 perfect, fluffy scrambled eggs, so good! And, I ordered turkey sausage which I have become accustomed to and they brought me 2 of the best tasting, lightest pancakes I have ever had. And, even though my Doctor doesn’t want me to eat Bananas I ordered a Banana Smoothie, and it was blended lightly with Apple Juice, so refreshing! I really wanted a Banana Milkshake but I thought that would be pushing it so I did the next best thing which was definitely the smoothie. Eggsperience on North Ave is a cozy, warm, comfortable place with a great, hardworking staff of people. My server Jorge, was solid, took care of me courteously and efficiently. And, menu prices are very comparable to other Breakfast Spots but really. get the Groupon Deal, definitely worth it! I think Groupon should hire me as their Spokesperson, I mean really… And, for the record, even though I had this sweet little deal from Groupon let it be known that I would gladly return even without a deal. Yes, Eggsperience was that good, And, the next time I wake up craving Breakfast I know where I’ll wind up. What a great find! Thanks Groupon.:)

Terrible Service. I live about a 5 min walk from here yet I will never return. We sat over 15 min without being acknowledged, then after flagging down a bust boy to request some service we still had to wait 7 min. At that point we just got up and left. What makes it all the worst is the fact the restaurant was 90% empty. There were more employees there than customers. This place won’t last. There are too many better options in the area.

Came here for breakfast, and it was just so-so. Our waitress was pushy and was constantly asking if we were ready to order. Their menu is pretty darn big and I wanted to look through it, but felt rushed to order something quickly. Then she didn’t explain that you get a choice to add cheese, onions and green peppers to your hash browns and seemed annoyed that we were confused and asked questions. They also gave me coffee with spoiled creamer that was curdled and didn’t comp me for it or really even apologize. Come on. It’s $ 2.50. I could have gotten sick. The food was fine. Typical breakfast food. But the hash browns were super greasy. Pretty sure I was eating mostly onions and cheese. I won’t be making a trip back anytime soon.
