Extremely good authentic Mexican food Large portions and good coupon deals — you can get a free tamale or can of soda with an order of I believe $ 10 Good prices and well worth your money — I normally get 2 meals out of it.

HORRIBLE! It took them forever to get here and my food was cold because they put my cold drinks in a bag next to my hot food. I ordered pancakes and got no butter and I had specifically asked for extra syrup and only got one which they also put in with the drinks so it was freezing and definitely not enough for three pancakes. When I went to the door the guy was on his phone, so rude.

TERRIBLE service. I am at fault for letting the gps find my address to place an order for delivery, so when the order was 20 minutes late, I called the restaurant and found out it was going to the wrong address. We fixed the address, they told me it was going to be late, fine. Understandably so. I equated the 20 minutes it was already late as time for them to have been driving 4 blocks out of the way and going to the wrong house. 25 minutes after that phone call, I called back. We were curious why it was taking that much longer to come, being that our actual address was between the restaurant and the wrong address. They called the driver and said 5, 10 min. Ok, 15 more minutes goes by. Nothing. The driver calls. We think she’s downstairs. Nope. She says, «What’s your address?» We give it to her. She asks us to clarify it 3 times. We figure out that she’s two blocks away. Ok, great. Nope. 15 minutes after that, we call the driver back on the number she called us from. She is now someplace in the opposite direction. She is claiming it is our fault because of the wrong address. We decide forget it. I call the restaurant and tell them we still don’t have the order and the woman was very rude to me. I asked for a refund and she hung up on me. So I called back. I told her it was very bad business to be rude and hang up on paying customers. I needed confirmation of my refund. She said she didn’t know what to tell me, asked me if I was done, and told me to call when the owner was there. I asked for her name(marg?) and ended the call. I called Grubhub, got a refund in 2 seconds with beautful customer service. So, yeah. What a mess.

This was a carry out order after a stressful move. At 2 pm on a Saturday they didn’t have the bread for tortas. WHAT?! Apparently the guy jus left to go pick them up. Ended up settling for the tacos de asada. What a disappointment. They use the crappy baby tortillas that come in the plastic, so it’s almost white like a sheet of paper. The meat had absolutely no flavor and the texture was questionable. Not going bsck, which is too bad since this place is 2 blocks from my house.

I ordered food from here off of grubhub. Most disappointing chilaquiles I’ve ever seen. Basically just soggy tortillas with green sauce and a sprinkle of Parmesan and a flat scrambled egg on top. I think chilaquiles usually involves sour cream and more cheese. Anyway huge bummer after ordering via grubhub which means your paying delivery fee and tip. Also they forgot another item on my order. Hopefully the refund goes through.

My roommates and I order from here all the time and love it! It has always been delivered super hot, and I do not know how they do it, but even the french fries will still be crunchy! The menu has so many options that you can really satisfy everyone’s taste buds with one location!

LOVELOVELOVETHISPLACE. They deliver late, and for cheap. Huge menu for when you’re in the mood for various foods. My roommates and I order from there too often, and it’s always so yummy! Their breakfast food, especially biscuits and gravy is so so so yummy! Deserves more than 2 stars.

Maybe it’s my fault for ordering Mexican from a breakfast joint. Maybe it’s their fault for trying to combine the two. Now, when I order a burrito, I pretty much expect it to be bigger than taco bell but that wasn’t the case here. They didn’t even give me any hot sauce to mask the blandness of the innards. I don’t know about you, but when I order a pork tamale, I expect there to be pork inside. Instead, what I got was the maize outer part and some weird green substance inside along with cheese. Inside. A tamale. I can’t even — this tamale was so odd. Although super soggy, my chorizo and biztec taco was edible and I like heat, but holy fire and brimstone! If you order this, it is strongly advised not to touch your eyes, ears, noise for at least 24 hours. Where was that heat of passion when preparing my Mexican corn that I ordered. Or was it Mexican corn? For one, I ordered a cob but got a cup… full of mayo. The mayo to corn ratio was at about 60⁄40AND they forgot the spices. Why do I have to provide my own? Their delivery charge is in the higher end… I’m sure my delivery alone can cover some cayenne for the week. Finally, the really should rename«soup of the day» to «soup we opened up from a tub a week ago and reheated for you.» The noodles were so mushy I couldn’t even tell what shape they started out as. The cat wouldn’t even lick at the broth and that says something considering he’s a feline garbage disposal. One star for quick delivery of hot, yet grudgingly edible food. A definite pass.

DISCLAIMER: I ordered food for pick up after a beer or five. Disclaimer aside, I’m posting this review immediately after finishing my meal. I’ve definitely had a few, but not enough to be completely blotto and have no idea what I’m talking about. I ordered a steak burrito and a lengua taco for pick up. I’ve never tried any of their breakfast food, I was craving a burrito and this was the nearest place that was open. This review reflects only their burrito/taco at 2 in the morning. The décor was kind of a mixed bag. Bar kind of randomly set off to a room that seemed half attached, half private. Seating, with a tv on the wall. Counter straight ahead. Music was blaring at 2 am. Didn’t bother me whatsoever, I don’t care about that, but it was damn near impossible to hear what was being said as I was paying. Like. loud. Now, I’ve been doing everything in my power not to be a burrito snob. That being said, I love Mexican food. There’s no better drunk weekend food, and I do indulge somewhere nearly every weekend. I’ve narrowed it down to a few simple elements to judge off of – sauce, meat, and quantity. Toppings would be a factor, but when trying a burrito joint for the first time I get only cilantro and onion. Sauce: 6⁄10 — I’m not sure if they have«green & red» sauce, or just one flavor. But all I got was the red. I asked for«a couple of each» but it was loud enough inside where it’s possible that I just wasn’t heard correctly. Regardless, I’m basing this on the assumption that they have just red sauce. Sauce wasn’t overly spicy, but wasn’t extremely mild. Flavor was alright, somewhat citrus-y. Seemed like a blend of dried chili de arbol peppers, lemon/lime juice, a little tomato, and just a touch of dried pequin peppers… but watered down. Not great, not awful. Meat: — The steak in my burrito was solid. There was no fat or sinew whatsoever, it was cooked perfectly. Flavor was pretty good. Probably mid-price steak which is as good as or better than the standard. Only gripe with the steak was that I «tasted the grill» a lot more than I would have liked to. Probably could have used a quick wipe down prior to being fried. It was also cut a little smaller than I’d like, but no big deal there. The lengua was really eh. The flavor seemed okay, but the rough patch of the tongue wasn’t completely removed. It was also cooked weird, couldn’t tell if undercooked or overcooked. Just generally dry and tougher than it should have been. Really a shame. Steak 7⁄10 Lengua 5⁄10 Quantity: 8⁄10 — I finished the burrito and the taco by myself without feeling like I needed to die. I’m stuffed, but not super uncomfortably. I’m a big guy, and I’ve got a pretty large appetite. Still, it isn’t unusual for a taco and a burrito to make me tap out. Portions were good. Overall: 6.5÷10 — I’d come back to see what their chorizo is all about, if for no other reason. It’s not great as far as their burritos and tacos are concerned, but I’ve definitely had a whole lot worse in my day.

I wouldn’t suggest this place. Came here for a simple breakfast and they have a credit card minimum. Manager said cash only, so I had to walk a few blocks to a 7 – 11 and withdraw cash from an ATM. Food was ok, service was good, management sucks.

I just read all the reviews for this place. They were very funny. Sure, El Chile may not be the best restaurant, but they deliver breakfast for cheap yo! It is so nice to get breakfast at noon on a Monday or 4am on a Tuesday. What are these reviewers ordering pizza for? It’s a PANCAKEHOUSE. I mean, El Chile isn’t doing themselves any favors by adding things like pizza and sandwiches to their menu, those items on a pancake house menu automatically get a red flag in my book. Give these guys a break and drink a lot before you order, it makes it more fun!

I used to order from here regularly on GrubHub, and the food was pretty good. But the last couple orders went straight to hell. Torched the pancakes, eggs were running like a 3 year old’s nose with a cold, delivery was 40 minutes late. I’m afraid I may have lost my sunday breakfast place.

I went there today randomly today around 1:00 and ordered the vegetarian omelet. Ingredients included mushrooms, green peppers, onion, tomato, and broccoli. I had the horchata that seem to be 100% authentic – although it tasted good it looked really weird nothing I ever seen before. My bf ordered the skillet – not exactly sure what it was called but both of our food looked good. My plate looked exactly like the picture on the menu. And I also received an order of pancakes on the side. It was a lot of food for both me and him. The picture I’m posting up is that only of my bf’s skillet. He said it was good too. This place seems to be more for Spanish speakers though. It’s easier to speak to waitress in Spanish. Which is why I didn’t have any problems. It was good and fresh. The interior reminded me of being in Mexico and the pictures of Frida Kahlo I loved it!

Wow does this place sucked. I don’t know how it’s possible to mess up pancakes but they certainly did– pancake batter and water is not how you make pancakes. I walked in at 2 o’clock in the afternoon on a Monday and there was no one in the place at all, and no one walked in the entire time that I ate. No one talk to me, the waitress just nodded in broken Spanish. It amazes me that the cook was also the garbage man. He was taking the garbage out with his bare hands. It seems anyone can order beans and rice– slap it on a plate and call it a Mexican restaurant. Pitiful.

I gave it one star because the prices are pretty good. This restaurant has once again ruined another meal. This was my second order from this restaurant. I figured I would give it one more chance. 1. The food arrived on time and Ice Cold 2. We ordered an open faced hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes. It came as heated up deli ham lunch meat that was spoiled days ago. 3. We ordered a two hot dog meal with fries and a can of coke. Hot dogs were cold and hard, as if they had been sitting out for a day or two! Fries were cold. NO Can of Coke! We told grub hub of our issues since the employees at the restaurant didn’t want to help us with our issues! BEWAREOFTHISRESTAURANT!!!

I was a little concerned about the aggregate review score here, but I noted, too, that most of the negative ones stemmed from carry out or delivery. And I was in the mood for a big old breakfast with flapjacks. I could not resist a place with both«El Chile» and«Pancake House» in its name, and which also has a bar and a pool table. Around 8:30 on a Saturday, I was the only customer and the staff outnumbered me by about three. The place is a no-nonsense, basic clean and utilitarian dining room. The menu is fairly extensive in the Chicago Diner tradition with breakfast, lunch and dinner choices, with a Latin twist. Kind of feels like you’re in an out-of-the-way small town joint somewhere. Not only no lines, but you may have the place to yourself. I chose the first item on the breakfast section. Two eggs. as you like, choice of meat, and toast, pancakes or Hash Browns. So I ended up with two eggs scrambled, bacon, pancakes AND hash browns. All of that for $ 3.95! it’s less than McDonald’s big breakfast which is $ 4.89. And similar to the Golden Nugget’s $ 6.99 special. Service was kind of Central American, or shall we say not too fast, but who cares? Everything was delicious and freshly prepared. Their coffee is good, too. Nice and strong. My total bill was $ 5.73. Works for me for a breakfast out.

I’ve been craving for a skillet with a bunch of meat and over-easy eggs, I was not disappointed. I chose to pickup my breakfast since I’m 3 blocks away and couldn’t find anyone available to go out with. I had meat lovers skillet with cheddar chz plus the best parts of the pig. sausage, ham & bacon, trust me, they did not skimp on any meat. I had so much, I had leftovers for next morning. I also had Biscuits and gravy, which were typical for being in the Midwest. Very creamy sausage gravy with 4 biscuits, little over seasoned, but definitely hit the spot. Will definitely keep this restaurant in my breakfast wheelhouse.

I’ve not eaten in the restaurant, only delivery from GrubHub. Their breakfast food is awesome. Try the«Down Home Breakfast» with advacado added. It’s kind of a loose omelet, because I added advacado, and is awesome. Now I wish all my omelets elsewhere had advacado in them. Also, would you believe their biscuits and gravy are terrific? I know, it’s a Chilean restaurant, but try those too. They’re great.
