Exsalonce Salon & Day Spa

So happy to have found such an amazing salon with a great team! Stina is a GODsend and an absolute magician. I have very dark hair and of course want to be a blonde bombshell, she did exactly that! Gave me an amazing head of full blonde gorgeous highlights and then did a base bump of my natural color to take me from dull mousy brown with highlights to golden sun kissed blonde (just what I need in the middle of Chicago winter!) I’m so excited to finally have my new talented stylist and can’t wait to see her in 8 weeks for another gab fest and magic show! Make this place your new salon & you will not be disappointed!

Zach is amazing!!! I have naturally curly red hair and don’t trust just anyone cutting my curly hair but Zach did a great job! He gave me a beautiful trim with long layers. I would highly recommend Zach to do your next haircut!

Zack is the best! I went to him recently for a hair cut and he did a wonderful job! He listened to exactly what I wanted and gave me a fresh cut with great layers. My ends looked amazing and he gave me a blowout with some loose waves that lasted days!
I liked him so much I sent my boyfriend who agreed Zack did a great job. He gave him a trendy (and super cute) cut that is not the least bit high maintenance and helped him with some products.
I would definitely recommend Zack to anyone bc he certainly knows what he’s doing with those shears!

My sister bought me a gift card for a facial for my birthday, and I finally redeemed it! So glad I met Megan! She was so friendly yet professional. I learned about my skin needs but wasn’t pushed to buy products.
The spa was so relaxing! I loved the privacy of the dressing rooms, the robes and slippers were comfy. I was able to sit in the sauna for a few minutes, too. I wasn’t rushed to get out after my service. I already made my next appointment.

I’ve been to this salon a few times, but yesterday I went to Zach to fix a box dye gone wrong! He did a wonderful job not only fixing my color but also giving me pointers and just making my day. I left the salon feeling beautiful and with my next appointment booked. I would highly recommend going and asking for Zach!

I now have a new regular salon for all of my hair and waxing needs. Zach did a great job with my hair, which was epically long, and now it looks healthy and the layers are great. He’s also just super fun and friendly, and not intimidating at all! Megan did a great job with my brows and really paid attention to detail. I could totally see us being friends! The owner, Tony, also has his own product line which I think is a really neat and unique quality to have. I highly recommend checking this place out, you will not be disappointed!

DISASTER AVERTED!!! Tony is an angel! I had a stylist turn my auburn hair into a chestnut brown. It happened late on Saturday afternoon and as most salons are closed Sunday and Monday I couldn’t get in to see Tony until Tuesday. Needless to say tears were shed. I figured my hair was ruined and it would take a few attempts to get my hair back to my natural color. He explained that he studied color correction at Loreal and that he could do this in his sleep. It took him 30 short minutes to fix my hair. I have never been happier with my hair. I’ve finally found a new home and stylist for my hair. He new exactly what I needed. THANK YOU!!!

I love this place. Jess colors my hair and does a great job with my pixie cut. She even taught me how to blow dry my hair so it always looks as good as when she does it. I also love this place because their product line is great. But even better, there is no hard sell!!!
Did you know they have a spa with massage, sauana, steam and rain shower combos with really nice robes? We renovated our bathroom this summer (we only have one) and my husband and I bought a package so we could get away (and get clean). It was divine.
With the holidays upon us (and all the drama that goes with it) we booked massages with Niki about a week ago. I worked at a suburban spa for three years, and it was better than any massage I received there. A few years ago my husband had a series of 10 massages at Urban Oasis, and he said that Niki was better than anyone there.
Today was an incredibly stressful day, and I received a 90 minute massage from Niki that put me back in a sane perspective and more.
The ladies at reception are always incredibly nice. None of that stuffy attitude you get at other salons/​spas.

I have been coming to Exsalonce for the past 2 years and have never been disappointed! I have recently been going to Stina, a talented new artist, and I would highly recommend her to anyone! She listens to what you want and makes you feel comfortable. I have gotten a haircut and bayalage from her and I loved them both!

I am so pleased with my experience (s) at Exsalonce. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is lovely. A special shout out to Megan for giving me fantastic facials; my skin feels and looks great. In one word, Megan is marvelous!

Went in on a Friday afternoon and got a haircut for $ 20 from a new artist named Zachary. I absolutely love my new hair and Zach could not have been more lovely, 5 stars for sure.

Tony is amazing! He does his magic with your hair that you always leave feeling pampered and stylish every time. His staff is friendly, courteous, and professional, and Tony expects no less. He always has great product recommendations to help maintain your hair between visits. I have been going to him for yrs, and do not trust my hair to anyone else. And since he knows my hair so well, I can go from shampoo to a style that looks fantastic on me in 30 minutes which is priceless!
And even though I don’t live in Chicago anymore, every visit includes a trip to Exsalonce, or sometimes, I even make a special trip to see Tony to make my hair look phenomenal again!

Tony and his staff are awesome! If you want a day of pampering, you must go to Exsalonce! The atmosphere is so relaxing, so welcoming, calming and fun. You just have to experience this for yourself! The staff is so friendly and professional. The products are top of the line. I just can’t say enough about the experience you will have here! Every time I interact with the staff at Exsalonce, everyone is so friendly and accommodating. I usually have a crazy schedule, so I very much appreciate the scheduling flexibility. Whenever I arrive, I’m offered a beverage, and haven’t had to wait very long ever. There is a relaxing spa-​like feeling here and it is decorated beautifully.
Maria is my hair expert! I’ve been extremely happy with my haircuts. I have long hair and have had bangs, then grew them out into long layers, and she has worked with me on transitioning my style and get through that awkward stage. Today I finally took the plunge and let her do her magic with coloring my hair and It turned out so beautiful! She painted in highlights so it was a more natural looking ombré style. I am blown away with her knowledge and expertise. I know who to go to for all my style advice.

Maria is excellent and I always am satisfied with my hair. I have curly hair and I am particular on how I like it cut and colored and she is very accommodating. She also has cut my fathers hair for years and does a great job. I would highly recommend Maria.

Zach gave me a wonderful haircut and blow out! He was so sweet and made me feel comfortable with his skills before we even started. I’ll for sure be going back to him next time I need a trim.

I had such an excellent experience with Tony and his team at Exsalonce. I had partial tape extensions put in my hair for my wedding because though I had the length, I wanted a full beautiful look and my hair is on the finer side. I was nervous, but went for it.
First in the consultation, instead of 15 minutes Tony spent almost 30 with me. First discussing my extensions, which type I should get, care for them etc, but then after he took the time to consulate on my up do for my wedding in Northern WI. He was not even doing my hair but spent some time just playing around and giving ideas. Such wonderful customer service.
My actual appointment took about an hour. The extensions themselves looked so real and beautiful. They matched my hair perfectly and no one could tell that I had them, except for the fact that everyone kept telling me how awesome my hair looked.
Last but not least, On the day that he put my extensions in, I got a trim as well and then he curled my hair exactly how I wanted it for my wedding. He did not have to do that, but he went the extra mile, because he knew I was nervous about my up do. My hair had never looked so beautiful.
On the day of my wedding — my hair was long and full and I have loved every moment of having them in.

I have lived in Chicago for 8 years now, and for almost 7.5 of those years I have tried many different salons and stylists. I am so glad I finally found Jess and Exsalonce! She is incredible… fun to talk to, focused, gives me what I am looking for, gives expert advice, is always on time, never leaves me with those weird hair stains on my forehead, and never gets chop happy with the scissors. This salon is clean, smells delicious, everyone is soooo friendly, and they are reasonably priced. My search is over thanks to Jess!!!
