Fetzer April DO

Dr. Fetzer is very knowledgeable but uncaring physician. She is very regimented in running her appointments and surgery schedule but has little understanding or compassion for individuals with complex medical conditions. I was reprimanded for canceling surgical procedures days in advance due to illness and the death of a loved one. It is obvious she makes her money scheduling procedures off-​site at the Same Day Surgery Center and hates cancels because she loses money. She truly didn’t care about the medical conditions or the death in my family which precluded me from having a procedure that would eliminate chronic pain. Seek help from a caring physician not one who is only in it to make money.

Worst physician ever. Don’t waste your time. She does not listen to a patient’s needs. She insisted I should have epidurals and injections for my herniated disc. I wanted physical therapy and she would not agree to that request. Luckily, I changed doctors received proper physical therapy and my back is in the best shape ever. No surgery, no injections. I wasted hours waiting for her and of course, she always wants a repeat appointment and an appointment must be made to even ask a question. She will not answer anything over the phone. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.

I love Dr. Fetzer! I have been experiencing a tremendous amount of pain in my lower back/​hips. I went to another orthopedic doctor prior to my visit with Dr. Fetzer, and was less than thrilled with how I was treated.
Within minutes of visiting Dr. Fetzer, I knew that I was at the right place. She listened to me, and really cared about what I had to say.
She quickly diagnosed my issue, and knew a plan of action that would be most effective in my treatment without surgery. She was awesome!
My whole visit to Dr. Fetzer was a breeze. Her front office staff was nice, and the ease of online preregistration was an added bonus!
Highly recommend her (and her staff) for all your ortho needs!

I went to Midwest Orthopedics at Rush (MOR) in Chicago in early July 2012 regarding rapidly increasing pain near my artificial right knee. My surgeon brought in Dr. Fetzer, also at MOR, and her in-​depth exam identified the exact pain source as a specific nerve problem. Surgery was scheduled for 2 weeks later. My pain level was a constant 6 – 7 before surgery and went to near ZERO within several days of surgery. Dr. Fetzer, thank you is not enough to say to express my thanks to your skill in identifying the cause of my pain, leading to a tremendous improvement in the quality of my life.
