These are the best shoes and they can last a lifetime. I live on the West Coast and order from Stephanie who is fabulous at this location. She emails me photos of shoes and is prompt at responding to questions and quickly ships shoes and sizes as I request them. Plus she clues you in on the fabulous sales!
I probably have about 15 pairs of Fratelli Rossetti — some dating back over 10 years and they are still in excellent condition. These are the shoes I wear when traveling through Europe — you can walk in them for hours, no, days and not get a blister or have your feet feel tired. You think I’m crazy? Last year I arrived in Paris and went straight to the Fratelli Rossetti store and walked for 3 days straight in my new ballerina style shoes. It is totally worth the investment!

This is the best kept secret on Michigan Avenue. A tiny little Italian Shoe boutique with some of the highest quality goods you can find. And I shop — a LOT!
I would have given this store 5 stars but their selection is very classic with only a few «trendy» or younger styles. I visit them 2X a year, once for winter and once for summer. My best luck in this store has been with their boots. I own 2 pair and hope to purchase my third this winter during their annual sale.
Everything I have purchased from this store has lasted me no less than 5 years and IF you can purchase a classic shoe on sale, you will pay about what you would pay for something at BCBG but instead of getting something for one season (as you would at BCBG) you will get a shoe that will last you nearly a decade — IF YOU TAKE CARE OF IT.
I own shoes from 1999, the reason being, I take my shoes in to be repaired in a timely fashion and I clean them and condition them at home.
Frattelli Rossetti is also known for their «flexa» shoe which is a very comfortable walking shoe comparable to «Hogan’s» walking shoe. Additionally, they also have the best Mens’s shoe styles I have seen, if you like Italian and European styles.
Finally, if you are looking for Italian Leather or Shearling coats, this is also your place. Their coats almost always are 30 — 40% off during the November or December sale (so get on their mailing list). People rarely know about their coat selection but they have SUPERB quality coats.
Once again, trendy shoppers, this is NOT the place for you. However, if you like classic elegance and timeless, quality shoes — you have found your perfect place.

Best shoes I have ever owned, extremely comfortable. Yes, they cost more initially, but they can be resoled over and over again, therefore they do last for years.

The staff here always make me enjoy shopping, and our recent purchases have included many theoretical wonderings about the ‘movie point system’ so that couples can keep track of their forced movie watching.
Even without the entertaining banter, I am deeply in love with my new pink purse, python belt, and stylish shoes … I have also gotten compliments on all my pieces bought here.
Depending on your price limits, this place could definitely be out of range, although their recent sales have brought purses down to Coach prices and shoes around the same.
