Hard to rate, because this meal is disgusting, but I think it would be fine next time if I order it differently. Got a brown rice and tofu bowl with terriyaki. I guess everything else in there was good but you wouldn’t know. Paid over $ 9 to drink a cup of tariyaki sauce with the occasional piece of food. Absolutely swimming in sauce! Haven’t been back in a couple years, so I hope this isn’t reflective of the way they do things now. If I had gotten dressing on the side, I would have been OK, though that’s not really a solution. But ya if you don’t enjoy TONS of dressings, ask for it on the side to save your lunch. I literally got to the point where I tried removing the sauce, used 3 paper towels, and it’s still saucy as ever.

Freshii, I love you, but bring back the old peanut sauce recipe plzzzzz! The kale effect bowl used to be the best dish, but is now so ‘meh’ with the new peanut sauce. On the bright side, everyone who works here is very friendly.

Third and final update. The prior version of this restaurant was a joke. The new ownership has made a big difference. The food is actually good and prepared quickly. It is still fairly expensive compared to other options, but I actually enjoyed my meal today. Time to put this spot into my rotation now.

Got the warrior chicken rice bowl. The place is clean and looks super healthy. Great concept but the taste falls short. My rice bowl was cold and the taste was bland which I guess is why they have to give you ranch salad dressing on the side. Staff was friendly, helpful and everyone had a smile. I really want to like this place more.

I eat at this location a couple times a week. Ever since new ownership took over about a year ago this place has completely changed. Every time I walk in the staff greets me, by name, and even asks if I am having«my usual». The owner is as friendly as can be and is always encouraging me to try different things on the menu. Most importantly the food is always fresh and tastes great. Their smoothies are really good too. I would highly recommend giving this place a try.

This place used to be under management from a Hawaiian /Korean looking cool Guy. His staff was humble, service was consistent, tables /seating was clean, staff recognized recognized the people who visited 4x/week… Etc. Since new management you can catch staff member spitting /coughing in food(I took a picture of one of the cashiers who thought it it was funny to do so… wasn’t a «cold» either… when she saw me notice she attempted to act as if she was sick)… staff is «snarky» /disrespectful, tables AND chairs are filthy, orders orders are rushed /sloppy(tried a new burrito yesterday off their new menu and the wrap was scorched)… I was going to make it a point to try everything on their new menu as all my favorites from the old menu were nixed… but why? This place isn’t cheap… $ 8 for your drink and $ 8 for your sandwich damn near daily adds up… I’d rather save my money or pay a business that respects it’s customers. I would go back and tell the same coworkers I once urged to go to Freshiis about the horrendous changes, but they will learn instantly on their own… the general public seems to have… this place used to be busy… and here I am the only customer here during my lunch hour in the loop(surrounded by buildings holding THOUSANDS of people). Again, the picture of the Bitch that likes to spit in food for back kitchen humor I’d posted. I believe that corporate will will see this post and DOSOMETHING. I don’t need any apologies at this point… I will NEVER be back. The empanada on Franklin(and Randolph) is the new hot spot anyway!

McDonald’s started the scam whereby one must clean one’s own table after eating, even though there is no sign anywhere indicating that this is the rule. Freshii takes that level of service one step lower. When I walked into a Freshii during an early lunch hour, I was the only person in the store. I went to the counter, was totally confused, and asked the person behind the counter just to fix me one of the items(whatever it was) in a picture that was on the wall. He flat out refused, and directed me to a young fellow standing by the door whom I had just walked past. I thought he would take my order, and I told him what I wanted. He was very friendly, and he smiled, but said, «Oh, you mustn’t have ever been here before.» He then handed me a paper and pencil, and told me that I had to write down my own order. What kind of nonsense is this? So I asked him how I could order the food that was in the picture. He said that he didn’t know what all was in the picture, and that I had to select what I wanted by checking the appropriate boxes. I was so ticked off about having to take my own order that I don’t even remember the food. Plus you’re expected, as at McDonald’s, to clean up after yourself. If I want to write down a shopping list and clean up after myself, I can go to the store, take my food home and fix it myself. Exactly what service is Freshii offering? Never went back. Freshii can go fuck themselves.

The restaurant got new management earlier this year — I think it was over the summer(?) — and there’s been a HUGE change for the good. I love to go in and see a manager who is working alongside his staff to make sure that things are getting done the right way — someone who walks the walk and talks the talk. I think a lot of these reviews are from when the old manager was there, which is a bummer because I hope the low reviews don’t keep people away. I usually don’t think much of restaurant chains — the food’s about the same at most of them, and the service is hit or miss. That being said — this Freshii stands out above the rest, and I’d gladly walk farther to come to this location than another location. So, you may be asking — why? The food here is great. The produce always seems super fresh and I always feel like my order is made to my specifications without any eye rolls when I ask for things like extra dressing(hey, there are lots of veggies so I am being healthy!). I can be a creature of habit but have tried a couple different things and I’m always glad I did. Unfortunately, due to some construction on the building they’re located in, the storefront of Freshii is covered with some of those chain link/mesh barricades, so if you’re not looking for it, you might walk right past it. So if you go looking, keep an eye out! Recently, we had a minor catering emergency in the office and I called Freshii after seeing an email about their delivery. I spoke with the manager, Gary, who was able to come though with wraps and burritos for the unexpected group in a short amount of time. He also encouraged me to think about what I was ordering to make sure I didn’t order too much food — as he said, «I don’t want to spend your money on food you’ll waste.» — That honesty will keep me coming back. So overall, make sure to go to this Freshii!

Freshii offers salads, wraps, burritos, soups, juices and smoothies. You can build your own or choose from their set menu. The base menu is vegetarian with the option to add meat protein for an added fee of $ 1.99−3.99, depending on what you choose. The food was fresh and the service was quick. Over $ 11 for a Cobb wrap with chicken is definitely on the pricier side for me, so while the food was good, I will probably not come back.

Super friendly and helpful owner guided me on the menu items. If it’s your first time the menu might be a bit confusing especially the custom options. But with the help of the owner I was able to figure out exactly what I want. The key is not to rush and take your time to make sure you order what you want in your custom order. I always like to have control of the ingredients in my food and the custom bowl is a great option. This is the single biggest thing I like about this place. Combined with their friendliness I would recommend this place to anyone who’d like to eat healthy.

I’m so disappointed with my lunch today. After visiting the store several times accompanying different people as they picked up lunch, I decided to finally try it myself. I picked the Buddha bowl because I love thai peanut-y flavors. I ordered online, and added cilantro(.25cents) and opted out of the green onion. I typed in both notes sections: NOGREENONION. I absolutely hate green onion. When I picked it up, I checked the order label on my bag and it also said NOGREENONION, so I thought I was safe. Nope. When I opened my bowl back at the office, there they were: a bunch of green onions scattered and mixed about in my bowl. My excitement was immediately deflated. I decided to be a trooper and tried to pick them all out(semi-successfully). But even when I started eating the bowl it just didn’t taste good. I thought the bowl was going to have lots of veggies and sauce, but it was just a huge heap of rice noodles, 4 little broccoli florets, and a scattering of carrots. And the sauce was very thin(I should have ordered extra I guess) and it was more spicy than flavorful. After all was said and done, I paid $ 8 for a bland, mushy mess that didn’t even have any protein additions! Sorry to say, but I won’t be rushing back any time soon :(

Although this place is right next to my office, I was always terrified to go due to the bad reviews. Once I saw that it was under new ownership, I checked it out and have been back four times since. I have gotten a new thing every time, and all were great. It is a little pricey, but the meals are huge — I always have enough to split it into two lunches. Finally, a healthy and tasty lunch option in this area! Excited to try the breakfast soon. Also, the new owner and staff are really nice.

Okay, I flat out love this place. It’s pricey, yeah — I’ve said it before, what’s your health worth? Aforementioned juices. Fruit, all good stuff. Made to order. Today I got the KONA wrap — Romaine lettuce, hard boiled eggs, tuna, Dijon mustard and other bits and bobs of greenery. I got the«Green Wrap» for an extra .75, and thought it’d be a spinach tortilla type wrappy thing. I should mention, I don’t like wraps, but I LOVED this one. It is not a spinach wrap, but a giant leaf of COLLARDGREEN. So, it’s sort of a salad burrito, wrapped in a giant lettuce-like leaf. At $ 10, it’s a somewhat high end lunch, but this thing is GIANT. It’s that sort of «burrito as big as your head» size. In hindsight, I should have cut it in half, it would have been easier to manage. Note to self. The taste was fantastic. Fresh, juicy, delicious, green, live. Salady. The tuna was great, and the hard boiled egg complemented it perfectly. This totally was a sandwich mixture I’d make myself. Except I don’t have to! I should mention that it got MESSY as I ate it. This is probably not a «eat at your desk» meal, rather, you should sit at a table and savor it. I’ll get it again for that, but on this day B*TCHWASBIZZZZYYY!!! While I was waiting, I tried a sample of some Red Pepper Hummus, that i wanted to binge eat, it was so good. Go here once or twice a week — you might even get healthier, you might just develop a taste for BETTERFOOD! Plus the staff is awesome. Very friendly.

I’m so bummed with my experience right now that I am typing with one hand while the other is still holding onto my sub par burrito that is filled with disappointment, sadness, and three times as much rice as there needs to be. I ordered the Smokehouse Burrito, no cheese, add avocado($ 1.25) and add tofu($ 1.99). The menu reads«brown rice, black beans, red onions, tomatoes, corn, aged cheddar, fiery barbecue». I say it is «brown rice, brown rice, a few kernels of corn. Oh! Look a black bean. SINGULAR. A couple chunks of tofu and more brown rice, which taste a little like barbecue.» My problems with this burrito: 1. I paid $ 1.25 for avocado — instead, I got raped in the mouth by rice and didn’t get any avocado. I might have been able to overlook the rice attack to my face if I had been given some avocado. 2. I paid $ 1.99 for tofu, which is pretty absurd. I could buy a block of tofu for that amount — I got maybe eight cubes of tofu in the whole burrito. Probably because there wasn’t much room left over after the rice. If I wanted this much rice, I would’ve ordered a rice bowl. I ordered a burrito which means I like balance between my toppings and minimal rice. Enough that it’s there and works with the other elements. However, this rice is basically Genghis Khan and trying to conquer every square inch of this burrito. 3. I think half of a rice paddy was harvested to fill this burrito. Yes, the size of the burrito is acceptable — the fact that it is 97% rice is not acceptable. 4. What’s even worse than a bunch of rice is a bunch of dry rice. Please lubricate my ricey face rape with lots of sauce, pretty please. I’ve been here once before and got the Buddha bowl. The flavor was okay but it was too dry. Clearly, there’s a pattern here. Freshii likes to skimp on the sauce and enjoy pushing rice and quinoa onto people. Last time was a bit quinoa heavy, the rice situation I’m looking at today is out of control. At the end of the day, yes, everything is edible. You probably won’t get food poisoning since they seem clean. You can be a good kid and eat your fruits and veggies here. I JUSTHOPEYOULOVERICE!!! I probably won’t be back since Roti is right next door(what I like to think of as the Chipotle of Mediterranean food) and knows how to balance all the toppings in a wrap. Unfortunately, I don’t think there will be a third visit to make Freshii a charm for me.

I met up a girlfriend for lunch at Freshii, and we regretted our decision to come here. After we were done, we vowed to never come back here again! She ordered the Fiesta Salad and a juice, and I decided to build my own salad. I started off by choosing kale and then added some tofu(extra $ 1.99), grape tomatoes(extra $ 0.50), beets, carrots, broccoli, cabbage, sweet corn, cucumber, and I choose olive oil on the side as my dressing. I received my order in a timely manner, but hers took a lot longer. We were waiting right by the register, so we could totally see what was going on. It seemed like the salad was made wrong, and then it had to be remade. We saw the manager checked the order before giving it to us, and then sending it back. This was not really that big a deal, but from our 15 minute observation — it just seemed like the employees had a hard time working/communicating together. Anyways, after we got our food we sat down to enjoy our lunch and catch up. When I opened my salad and dug in this is what I noticed: 1. The olive oil(my dressing on the side) was missing. I thought they had just mixed it in because the salad looked moist, but then I realized that it was just damp. 2. The tofu was really moist and squishy. I eat tofu regularly and I know it is not suppose to look like that or taste like that. I don’t know what was going on, but after tasting it, I did not eat the rest of it(not that there was much to begin with). 3. The amount of corn, beets, broccoli, cabbage, and cucumbers were so minimal. It’s even hard to see them in the picture I posted. 4. The grape tomatoes and the carrots were NOT even there. The grape tomatoes that I paid an extra $ 0.50 for. 5. You can tell that the cucumbers had been previously frozen — they looked old and they were extremely cold, plus they tasted pretty bad. The only thing that tasted fresh from this salad was the kale. Needless to say, I will not be coming back to Freshii or trying anything else. I was extremely disappointment. I wish we had just gotten a salad from Potbelly down the street.

Freshii offers overpriced, low-quality food. Despite its name, the food here does not seem all that fresh. Every dish that I’ve ordered here has been mediocre in taste. Meat and chicken in particular have that strange«processed mush» texture. Rice and noodles are super bland. Sauces and dressings taste like the lowest grade pre-made generic brand that you could find for cheap in any supermarket. Don’t waste your time, money, or appetite here.

While I appreciate the healthy food option, I wasn’t too impressed with my Tex Mex Burrito on my first visit to Freshii. They have a couple of locations around the loop, so I have been planning to go here for a while. Finally got a chance today. As I mentioned, the Tex Mex Burrito was very«meh…». It was just kind of bland. Nothing like a Chipotle. On the other hand, they do have a bunch of food options and quite a bit of variety, so maybe one of the other items is better. If I go again, I’ll be sure to try something different.

Consistently inconsistent. I usually order the same thing — chicken teriyaki bowl. It’s always made differently. Over-sauced, under-sauced, too little chicken, too much rice, too little rice, etc. The bowl I received today was barely half full, over-sauced, and COLD. The wait for your order after you pay is at least 5 – 7 minutes, regardless of the # of people in line. Not sure why I keep coming back. I should just walk a few more blocks to Protein Bar.
