Joshua, the guy with the ponytail, is great. He’s very nice and is willing to help. The rest of the staff, not so well. I only come here when I have to pre-​order something that’s not available online and everytime I do, I really hope it’s Joshua who’s working. There’s this other guy that works here that is absolutely condescending. He’ll try to rush you and it’s very rude. They have good stock like any other game stop and a few times I’ve seen some rare copies of pre-​owned games. If you come here, I hope it’s Joshua that you’ll meet. The rest just doesn’t seem to be interested in helping you.

Probably the most raciest place on the face of the earth. I’m not gonna talk about the thousands I spent in there. I’m just gonna say as a African American man, they’ve manage to always find new ways to make me feel uncomfortable as a customer and a shopper. And it didn’t matter who was the employee, they all made me feel as though I was in a rush, and couldn’t take my time to find a nice quality game.
This is why I buy 90% of my games on the internet (Amazon), because I don’t have to deal with raciest scum bags like the group of workers assembled at this GameStop. Hope they close down soon. Especially this one.
But the pizza place across from them is amazing, that’s one good thing.

They are so racist here I’ve been coming here since high school and over the years (my rewards card keeps track of the things I brought) I’ve spent over $ 3000 in that place they treat people like they are going to steal all the time you’d think if I haven’t stole anything in that many years they would stop pushing that we are watching you button (I know its a button that activates this I have friends who work at the game stop on Howard) this game stop sucks and I feel bad for the few decent people there the assholes won I don’t go there anymore

I am the new owner of a PS4 and have not owned a video game since Sega Genesis.
I came here to purchase some games and a controller as the system itself only comes with one.
The guys here really know their stuff when it comes to gaming and they were more than helpful on giving me tips on how to treat my new system. Decent selection of games here for all systems and you can even buy used games which in most cases aren’t that much cheaper than the unused games

Josh is the best! He knows me and my BF by name. Best Gamestop.

Josh & Patrick are the coolest individuals in that store. Ask for Josh and Patrick. Josh and Pat seriously have the best customer service. Seriously down to earth

These guys are video game junkies! They really give the best advice on games! The only bad part is the location as there are some vagrants in the parking lot begging for change. What are you going to do, it is in Uptown!

These people know their stuff! They can help with anything you need. (Even for non gamers like myself.)

It smells like a teenaged boy in this store. That’s okay though because I can buy used video games for cheap as if I were an unemployed teenaged boy. Also, the employees are super nice when they’re not on a smoke break.

Definitely love stopping, easy to get recommendations and help.
5 stars for staff here — 3 stars for return policy by gamestop and general ability to get money for games. However, the staff is always happy to help in any way they possibly can.

My «little» brother made me the proud owner of a Playstation 2 when he got his PS3. This may sound lame to some of you (if so, why are you reading a Gamestop review) but I was quite excited when I got it up and running and ready to play. I ventured over to this location, where I was told at another location that they had a good selection of used games. I was greeted immediately and with a friendly hello. I explained my situation to a salesman named Boris (how could you forget a name like that). He seemed to get more excited about my situation than I was. I told him they kind of games I liked and he brought me over to their rack of used PS2 games. He began talking about a variety of games that I may like and what was popular. Answered all my questions and spent time just geeking out about PS2 games. I spent under 20 bucks and was extremely happy with the service and products. I think I have become a gamer again…

What? No reviews for our friendly neighborhood Uptown gamers?
Well I’ve only been here twice but it’s been a really good experience both times. Basically, here I am, youngish professional female, not exactly the person you’d expect to be a video game buff. And you know what? You hang on to your judgments there because you’re totally right!
I’m not camping outside stores needing to have the newest release, sinking money into the latest console, spending entire days playing a new game because Must. Beat. Or. Die. In fact, my system is a PS2 that a couple friends gave me awhile back when they upgraded.
See? Not that serious. Doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy a little button-​mashing or hell, even a little logic and strategy every now and then. So the awesome part comes in where not a single employee at this store has ever made me feel silly or inferior because my gaming knowledge is not exactly up to par. Patient, friendly and helpful and not a bad selection for someone still playing on an older system. Maybe I’m easy to please because I don’t play too many games, but I know the first time in I was a little worried about feeling intimidated so it’s nice to know that’s not the case.
