I’ve been going to him on and off for a couple months. There have been times when he has done a decent job. It’s like a hit or miss situation. He is very hesitant in letting the customer even look at the clothes after he worked on them. In 2 instances I brought the refitted clothes home and they were so out of shape. My last visit was the last time I worked with him. And never going back. I wanted a dress refitted for my sisters wedding. I came home and tried the shirt on and saw that after the refitting the shoulders were different sizes and hence the shirt was not centered when worn. I called him and he knew what I was talking about and became defensive. I went to the store and instead of fighting with him asked him to just fix it so I can wear it at the wedding. He just kept on fighting that he didn’t ruin it. At the end he just said he wasn’t going to do anything to it. He ruined my 400 $ dress and asked me to leave. Don’t risk an expensive dress at this place.

I also found this guy from Unilocal and I would advise to not go here! I came in to get three suits sized up and measured. There was a small communication barrier since this guy is really old and speaks little Hindi. I tried speaking Hindi with him but with the barrier I decided to call my father to communicate with him. Instead of doing his job as a tailor and getting my measurements, he pushes me away and asks me to leave. He started randomly saying he has no time and advised me to walk down the street to find another tailor (not even offering me another place to go to). This guy was nothing but rude and impossible to talk to no matter how nice you are.
Don’t come here.

Found this guy through Unilocal.The girlfriend is quite happy with his tailoring and he is somewhat cost efficient. Expect 2 – 4 weeks to prepare a blouse but if you give him a rush order, he might be able to do things in a week and a half.
I noticed that from a previous review, someone mentioned that he does not speak English. This is true but I also found that he has a big book of design and if you point at it, he will definitely be able to incorporate designs from it.
The only downside to him is that he burns incense ²⁴⁄₇ at his place and the clothes stitched smell of that for a while !

Let’s just say, even my mom was impressed with the stitching done by this tailor. It’s a bit costly in comparison to going to India, but really, the stitching and the work was really really well done and worth it.
I believe the only down side to this place is that the uncle doesn’t speak very much English. If you speak Gujarati, you’re good to go. He’s a sweet old man and takes the time to make sure the work is done correctly.
My sister and I definitely plan on getting the rest of our outfits stitched by him.
Oh yes, and his office seems kind of sketchy, but it’s completely safe. It’s a small office above a bar on Devon street.

Ghansham Tailors is a great place to go to get your clothes fitted. Also, they sew your clothes, so if u have a design that you like, they’ll make it for you. They get their work done pretty fast depending on what they have to do.
