Sean is amazing! I previously had my hair colored and while it wasn’t horrible, it wasn’t what I wanted. I’ve tried for the past year to get my hair back to it’s natural color. I decided to look on Unilocal to find someone that specialized in color. I have thick curly hair, that takes color extremely fast. I voiced my concerns to Sean, he asked a few questions, and went into the back to whip up some magic. He’s super nice, very attentive and achieved the impossible. He was able to get my hair back to it’s natural color, making it even more fabulous than it was before. He was also able to give me the most smooth, full body blow out. I’m still raving about him to my friends. Sean has ruined me, I can’t imagine going anywhere else.

Sean is an amazing colorist. He will work with you to achieve the exact color you want even if it means ordering addition products that he does not usually carry. He is really thoughtful in his analysis of your hair type and and what kind of color it can absorb. He also does my eyebrows so that they match my hair. Finally, I have frizzy hair and he taught me how to give it that «salon smooth» look. He is dedicated to making your experience successful and I always feel as welcome there as I would if I were visiting a friend. This is a casual place – no pretensions – but extremely professional. I have sent two other members of my family to Sean and they are now «regulars», too.

Sean’s great. I came in after I had gotten a poorly done ombré highlight & he worked his magic to get the color and blend that I wanted. I’ll def. be going back to him.

This is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had in a salon. Max was my hairdresser and I brought her pictures of what I wanted with was a couple of chestnut brown streaks and I strictly asked for no highlights at the top of my hair. At the end she gave me blonde ALL over highlights which gave a horrible skunk like effect considering I have dark brown hair. I had specifically said I only wanted a few of the highlights underneath because I have long hair and wanted to keep it healthy. From all the bleach she used my hair no longer is soft. I will never go back to this place again and on top of it she had the audacity to charge me $ 240 even though I never requested all over highlights. Never again…

Sean is AWESOME! I went to him in desperate need of a color correction. I recently wanted to go light on my naturally dark hair and it turned into a disaster! I was left with a brassy orange-​red color that I SPECIFICALLY did NOT want! I returned to the same place and it was still not corrected enough for me. So I decided to go elsewhere. Sean really listened to my concerns and what I wanted. My hair looks SO SO SO much better! He also explained why my hair did that and what needed to be done to correct it. He also told me to not hesitate to come back if I still wasn’t 100% satisfied. Overall, GREAT service and GREAT hair! Thank you!

Max Friday is a true professional, and a master artist. The location is convenient (right off the brown line) and the prices are fair. Comfortable, non-​pretentious and excellent customer service. It doesn’t get better than this!

Like Goldilocks and the Three Bears, I was searching, in the big bad woods, for great hair color & style. I tried the fancy salons in the Gold Coast — too pricey and such attitude! I tried Super Cuts and found a real bargain, but each month was a gamble. Too many rookies experimenting. Then I found Hairology — a beautiful salon with master colorists and style! I love this place, my hair style and its priced just right! Ask for Max — she’s awesome!

This is the best hair salon in the world, I’m a guy and I know usually guys don’t get picky with their hair, but this place will make you picky about your hair. Max is a great hair care specialist and her co-​workers are just as good if not better. The woman at the front desk gives fantastic hair and scalp massages. This place WILL make you feel fantastic about your hair.

My friend Elizabeth hooked me up with her stylist/​colorist, Sean. I have never been happy with my color… either too dark or too red. Did not have this problem with Sean. I got a perfect medium brown and a fantastic haircut too. Friendly and helpful! I am embarrassed that I cannot remember the first name of the woman at the front desk who alway washes hair. She gives the best shampoo/​scalp massages in the world. If you are not happy with your current salon give Sean @ Hairology a try.

Where did evryone go from Mon Ami on Oak St. Well Max and Sean and Charles Lord are at hairology and the space is so much relaxed then when they were on Oak St. So if you are looking for the best cut/​color Hairology is the place to go!
