The food sucks and the service is even worse. Enjoy your over cooked burgers and waiting 30 minutes to be served. Even when there are only three other tables that are occupied. Save yourself.

This place is great!, and I’m not just saying that because I’m a Cubs fan. The atmosphere is awesome. Full of pictures of famous athletes and celebrities that have visited. I went there with my boyfriend after a run for a quick bite. We had the Caesar Salad and the turkey club. Both were yummy! Our server was attentive and we were in and out pretty quickly(our choice). They have a 90minute policy since it gets so busy. We didn’t have to wait at all, but there’s ton to do in the area if there is a wait

My husband and I stopped by for a quick drink yesterday after wondering around the Navy Pier. The bar area wasn’t packed, but it wasn’t empty by any means. The bar area is seat yourself, so we got a table, which also provided waiter service. I got an Angry Orchard for about $ 5.25 an my husband got a beer, I forgot the name but it was a local brew, for about $ 10.00. Our server got us our drinks quickly, but soon got busy behind the bar, which was totally fine because he was doing his job! The décor of the tavern was very cool, pictures of celebrities everywhere. If we were hungry, we would have eaten the food there. The table behind us had meals that looked amazing!

They would not let us sit at the bar and have a drink because we had a carry out bag from Bubba Gump next door. We just had lunch at bubbas, had souvenirs and leftover, and wanted to watch the Michigan game and have a drink and apps. I kid you not.

This is a tourist joint… but a little better than you’d expect.(I’m grading on the«curve») Being that I’m a city person living right in the heart of the city, my «regular» place to see a movie is at the Navy Pier IMAX. So… I go to this Harry Caray’s location on the pier. The food is «ok», but on the standard of tourist places, it really is pretty good. The wait staff is hit and miss. Sometimes you meet someone that’s good, then someone that is «not so much»… If you live in the city I think that it is a good idea to let them know that you actually LIVE near the Navy Pier and that you visit regularly. That way, maybe you won’t get treated like a «tourist».(Like someone that they likely will never see again in their lives) So… since I go here regularly, I’ve found that to make a difference, even with other restaurants on Navy Pier. As far as the food goes, to start with, the CLAMCHOWDER really is great. This place has TAVERN in the name. They do have a reasonable bar selection BUT… don’t take the word of the wait staff about their inventory. Some of them have absolute ZERO idea what they are talking about. Our waitress was completely clueless to the point of being INCORRIGIBLE. She insisted that the bar didn’t have various types of liquors, but seemed very unfamiliar with the basic«menu». So… I got up, went up to the bar and immediately pointed out the bottle that I was talking about that she insisted that they didn’t carry. She responded…“OH…well now you know”!!! I responded, «more appropriately, now YOU know»… Hello? While I didn’t SAY this, I thought this… This is a TAVERN… you work at this tavern and your job is to SELL the items that the tavern has to sell… Well… there was no mea culpa, but no biggie. It is a tourist joint!!!(O: It really is great for a quick dinner immediately before a show. Their service is pretty good otherwise. The«waitress» only takes the orders; everyone else does all the other chores like getting it to the table, etc…

It was fun, the initial meeting with our server was a long wait, but then after that, he was really on his game. We just popped in to watch the game and grab a bite, it is a fun place, and the fries were awesome

This place is a total tourist trap. I ordered a burger, it was a generic bubbabuger type patty, the deep fried onion straws weren’t crispy and couldn’t really be bit in half. The pretzel roll was the best part! A friend got the shrimp roll which had three tiny salad shrimp in it. Veggie burger was a bit bland. I realize they have to turn tables quickly, and it’s in a tourist gold mine of a spot — but the flavors are lacking. Skip this and travel off the beaten path to find better juicer burgers!

Not fare to judge place based on just two appetizers but that is all the time we had. Tried the Shrimp in Asian sauce and the Roasted Ravioli with meat. Both were decent finger food. Service was quick considering we were in on a Saturday afternoon, probably their busiest times.

After going on a bait tour my fiancé and I needed to nourish ourselves. We decided to check this place out, because we are huge sports fans. The sports memorabilia is amazing! You can get your picture with Harry Carey. We were greeted by a super nice host who told us we would be on a 5 – 10 minute wait, which wasn’t too bad. We were quickly seated and our server did an okay job. At times it was hard to get refills, but it didn’t help she was double sat a few times. We ordered food, which came out fairly fast. My fiancé got the turkey burger which he said was pretty good. I ordered the fish tacos, and wasn’t overly impressed. There just wasn’t a whole lot of flavor, which bummed me out. The food and drinks are a bit pricey. Overall, not a bad place, but I don’t think we would go back.

We stopped here for lunch after going on the 30 minute extreme boat ride in the lake. We sat outside since it was a nice day. I got the Wrigley Rita — delicious! Margarita with oranges?! Keep them coming! The boyfriend got a beer. I got the buffalo chicken wrap with fries — SOGOOD!!! Such a huge wrap too. It was perfectly mixed. I couldn’t even finish the entire wrap because it was so loaded. The boyfriend got the meatloaf with the mac and cheese. Very delicious! Kind of a pricey place for lunch but I guess we’re also paying for the location/view.

There are not a lot of places to eat at navy pier and I’ll just say it go ahead and skip this place all together for food. Navy pier that is. We settled on this place bc I was going to eat my arm otherwise. The hummus app was good as was the caprese salad! The buffalo chicken wrap was a FAIL. It was fried pieces of nothing. I didn’t see a piece of chicken anywhere! The south Cobb salad was good but the«chicken» was like something worse than the freezer chicken you get at the store. Moral of the story get the hummus and the salad!

Huge restaurant and there’s still a wait on a Saturday night. Wow! This place is really cool, especially if you’re a sports fan. I’m not but still, it was cool. After walking and eating all day, I ordered a chicken salad and as packed as that place was, the food came out pretty quickly. It’s a really good time and lots of energy for a night out.

Harry Caray should rise from the grave and kick someone’s backside for this travesty. I had higher expectations yet, should have realized this is nothing more than a tourist spot on Navy Pier. It wasn’t even my first choice for dinner. Got stuck eating here due to traffic and time constraints. Next time I’ll leave earlier and eat at a decent place. Say, McDonalds? Drinks; my hurricane was just juice with no discernible alcohol. Also, was advertised to be served in a coconut. It came in a glass. Hubby had a Guinness that was in a can. Safe to say his wasn’t watered down. Margherita Pizza; the picture in the menu led us to believe it would be wood fired with as blistered crust, etc. What we received resembled a frozen pizza. Tasteless. Looked like they let a 5yr old construct and cut it. At least the water was good.

Touristy spot at the Navy Pier — great for lunch outside! We got seated quickly and waitress was prompt with taking our orders. We grabbed a couple drinks and shared calamari and the Italian beef. The calamari was not as good as shown in the menu picture but Italian beef was surprisingly good! The hot peppers are hot(added smoked Swiss too)

LOVETHISPUB! I fell deep within a tourist trap and I cannot get out, but hear me out. I am addicted to sports memorabilia. I like to think of myself as Sporty Spice, but more knowledgable and fatter. Harry Caray’s is almost like a museum with tons of sports memorabilia. They have old newspaper articles celebrating the Cubs world series win(poor Cubbies); a tribute to the bulls and various other artifacts that you can look at before or after your drinky-drinks. I would definitely take my friends from NYC here because they love a pub in NY called Foley’s which is a similar tourist trap that serves up great brews and has sports memorabilia too. At times, you have to forget about location and patrons and just go with the flow. Some of the other things I enjoyed: the food. I had a buffalo chicken wrap after biking about 12 miles. It was quite fresh and the buffalo sauce was not too spicy. Despite the limited menu, the choices have something for everyone. There is an outdoor tavern where you can purchase the world’s tiniest cup of beer for $ 7 bucks and walk around Navy Pier or sit on a bench and look at the lake. Or you can just watch sportz with the other patrons and cheer for the Hawks. Not gonna lie, I heart Patrick Sharp. He is easy on the eyes and is an exceptional hockey player too. All in all, I found a place to drag my friends when they come visit. But i sincerely doubt they will put the yankees on. We love the evil empire. Hearts. One billion stars if they do!

We had just gotten off a boat tour and were super hungry. After a recommendation we decided to try it out and I’m sure glad we did. It’s a super casual sports bar. They have a pretty limited menu of American food– Mostly burgers, sandwiches and salads. I got their smokehouse burger with fries and it had to be one of the best burgers I have ever had. Beyond that, the service was impeccable, our server was Ryan. He was quick to suggest things off their menu and made sure we got everything we needed. This place is a must if you’re visiting Chicago!

This location, as noted, is the tavern variation. So you will get a slightly different menu and dining experience here vs. the Italian steakhouse. Expect more burgers and fries type of food coupled with a whole bunch of sports memorabilia. Overall, pretty nice and a touristy thing to do if you are showing people around Navy Pier. This is an affordable option and a must for anyone who enjoys sports memorabilia.

After a long afternoon of sampling ciders in the Navy Pier Grand Ballroom, savory food was needed, and STAT. We decided to stay in Navy Pier, and came to Harry Caray’s. There was a group of 8 of us, and they told us it would be a 10 – 15 minute wait. I could see empty booths everywhere, but I guess they didn’t think we could all fit in one of those. Waiting wasn’t too difficult– lots of cool Cubs/Harry Caray/celebrity autograph pieces to admire! Once seated about 15 minutes later, a waiter came to take drink orders. I was at the first corner of the table that was addressed, and ordered a pop and water, to which another person asked for waters for everyone, and he left. People at the table had wanted to get beers and what not, but did not get the chance to order. This happened twice, and once we had about 1 refill of water, the water refills stopped coming too. I was a little thirsty by the end of the meal! We were all so starving that we were ready to order at the first chance we got. This is a tavern, and NOT a full steakhouse, so choices were more limited to bar-type food, but everyone found something without issue. I ordered the Smokehouse Burger– mozzarella, bacon relish, crispy onions, with a side of fries. They did not offer how I wanted the burger cooked, and it came out a little uneven, but along the lines of medium. The burger itself was good. I didn’t detect any kind of bacon flavor, but the crispy onions were very prevalent, and the fries were perfectly salted, crispy and hot, but again, it made me need water that I didn’t get refilled. The burger was $ 14, which I thought was reasonable for a Chicago tourist attraction.
