Went in with a large order(about 17 garments) that needed cleaning and one that needed hemming. Their«system» was down at the time, and with many apologies from the woman behind the counter we ended up getting a sketchy hand-written receipt for the work to be done and an estimated pick-up date 5 days later(time to do the hemming they claimed). Repeatedly, we emphasized that the pair of pants needed hemming and I even separated them from the rest of the garments. Five days later we came back to pick up the order(right before closing… to be fair, they held the doors open for us at the last minute and were very polite about it). All items were present, and off we went with our clean, hemmed garments… except, the hemmed garment wasn’t hemmed and several men’s shirts had burn marks around the collar and were as flat as a piece of paper, destroying the shape of the collar entirely. Never again for this place. Never again.

Horrible. They have ruined a new sweater and a silk scarf — came back shredded– and today a new linen blouse came back half its size! Add to this the sweaters that have come back with holes, shirts that have stains and wrinkles. They have a monopoly in our building. Im switching to pick up service.

I had a few minor problems with Millstone Cleaners but they did a good job hemming my very long trouser jeans. They told me that my jeans would be ready on Friday. I went to pick them up last Friday and they were not there. I was kind of bummed but it happens. They also charge $ 20 for hemming. I’m not sure if that’s a good price but it is downtown after all. I will probably try a dry cleaners close to my home next time.
