I actually go to this location more so for the sandwiches than the ham, but the ham is delicious in itself. Try the club sandwich– it is delicious(I substitute provolone for the cheddar and don’t get the mayo). The black bean and corn side is good as well. I know its not the healthiest lunch but it is a good option when you want a tasty sandwich. The people are generally nice and parking is usually available in the lot out front.

The worst place to order a ham! Wanna wait for an hour plus and get greeted by a nasty lady at the counter! Come here. No system just wait. You would think they are giving hams away. Go someplace else for your original honey backed ham! No hours either.

I had to get a ham for my husbands memorial service. I was on a limited budget but the manager here guided me through the ordering process and was very helpful. Everyone helped me with ways to stretch the ham and serving suggestions. I can’t imagine having a bad shopping experience here

I was recommended HBH as a comparable replacement to Boston Market, and I have to say that it is close to being on the same level as beloved Boston Market. I have yet to explore the vast majority of menu options to the same depth as I have with Boston Market, but I look forward to doing so. I had a delightful chicken salad sandwich, which was recommended to me by the very pleasant and helpful cashier. The chicken salad sandwich also had the greatly appreciated benefit of providing the energy for a very late night in Champaign, IL celebrating an Illini victory over Northwestern. Also enhancing the experience was the playing of «Blank Space» by Taylor Swift — it was like the stars aligned. Thanks HBH!

Let me start off by saying I work in customer service and completely understand busy phones during the holiday season. I received such awful phone service from Kilian at this location. It is tradition to get a HoneyBaked ham each Christmas in my family. I placed an order online and scheduled to pick up a ham on Sunday. When I could not make it until Tuesday, I called a total of 6 times without answer during business hours. I was able to reach them Tuesday morning. Kilian was completely unwilling to see if my order was still reserved and implied that I was lying when I said I had called a total of 6 times without answer. It was«highly unusual» and«highly unlikely» that no one answered the two days that I called. She told me I can just come in and see what they have. The whole point of me making an order online was so I did not have to deal with a a line or crowd. If it were me on the other end of the phone I would be apologizing and offering a solution to the problem. If I could not solve the problem that minute, I would be kindly suggesting that I get back to them as quickly as I can. Pretty disappointed in the service and now I have to go pick out a ham 2 days before Christmas. 2 stars– 1 for ham and 1 for online convenience

I love the food here and that is the only reason I visit this shop. The older lady who works there is very nice and always polite, but the manager is over the edge rude and is not interested in the customers at all. If you want decent food and terrible service make sure you have the big woman manager wait on you, it will make you appreciate the customer service at McDonalds. two stars, one for the food and one for the older lady in the office. Negative three stars for the manager

Sandwiches and the food in general is very good. The staff, however, is fairly inept. Today I ordered 2 sandwiches(toasted), and 2 sides. Not difficult, right??? Apparently, yes. Neither sandwich was toasted and one literally fell apart when I unwrapped it. Neither of my sides were included in the bag. Things you cannot count on at honeybaked ham 1. Waiting less than 10 minutes — even if you are only customer they are incapable of moving fast. Today there was only one employee working… What a joke! 2. Having your order made correctly. I mean c’mon… its 2 frikkin sandwiches and 2 sides… A moderately trained ape could get that order with greater accuracy than what Ive come to expect here. BTW — this basic same kind of F’ up has happened at this store before. Ive just never taken the time to post a bad review about it. Ordering a ham for holidays or special occasions? Sure, absolutely. Its delicious. Going back for another lunch, never.

Sandwiched(see what I did there?) between a bunch of other fast/easy/cheap/processed lunch options, it’s easy to imagine that Honeybaked Ham Café is often overlooked. I went in on a whim to try a sandwich, having always been curious about what the café would offer, and I’m incredibly glad I did. I went with a classic ham sandwich, and what I received should be the golden standard. Served on a delicious, butter, flakey croissant with all the right fixings, it hit the spot and more. I opted for a side of the pasta salad, made in-store, over the chips. I was also offered a free cup of their 15 bean soup as I waited, made in-store as well, by an incredibly friendly staff member. As she was making my sandwich in the back, another staff member came out to discuss the weather with me, and ask my impression of the soup – which was unbelievably good. I was blown away by how warm and friendly they were in there, as though my own mom and a couple of her sisters were preparing my lunch for me. It’s nice to have this kind of experience instead of processing down an assembly line like you might at the restaurant next door. Bottom line is the lunch options meet all the standards of Honey Baked Ham deliciousness, and the friendly staff who go the extra mile make this a café a must hit. Bonus: frequent luncher club! Delicious ham and the sandwiches and sides from the deli are great. Had the chicken salad and tavern sandwich; hearty and flavorful. Anne helped us order our ham and was very knowledgable.

We were so happy when this place opened up closeby to us! Their honeybaked ham is close to perfection and the frozen sides they sell there are perfect for a quick feast(which is almost oxymoronic!). The best part however is the fact that they sell yummy deli sandwiches! I always like to get the ham classic that’s got dijon mustard, but their tangy mayo condiment is also great. My husband absolutely LOVES the ham salad sandwich. I never thought ham salad could be such a treat, but they just do everything right here. All to say, this is definitely a regular lunch stop for us, and we have no intention on changing this.

Pros: Food, Service, Price, Parking Cons: Sometimes the café is closed due to holiday seasons. PROS: My family has always gone to Honey Baked Ham for our holiday hams for as long as I can remember and it was never a disappointment. This was when it was located up west on Belmont. We would make that trek just because it was that good and that we didn’t really want to cook for so many people. It can be a hassle, do you not agree? When they moved into Lakeview and added a Café to it, my initial thoughts were of curiosity and salivation as to what else they can do. The one thing about this company that I love is that everyone inside knows a lot about their meat that they are serving and take great pride into doing so. Not only are the hams great but the sandwiches are OUTSTANDING. The price is awesome and one person can get a good lunch for under 10 $. They also sell great condiments and other what nots. So to the least my only CON was the fact during holiday seasons the café closes as they concentrate on hams for the seasons. This is obviously me being selfish and wanting what I can not get, but I can survive.(Twitch) So this is always the best alternative to anything you want in the area.

I really like this place. Came here when they first opened. They’re a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. I think way better quality than Subway, which is 2 doors down. I always get the Betta Ham and Chedda sandwich. It is just delicious. It’s not on their regular menu because I was looking for it one day after not coming in here for a while, but they had it written on a chalkboard thing with all of their specials. The price comes with a bag of chips for about $ 7. Thick slices of ham and cheddar cheese on a ciabatta bun I think and they toast it. Just delish! They put some type of honey mustard or dijon, but whatever it is, it is really good. They include a sliced pickle on the side. YUM! Their cheese and potato soup is really good too! They have these sandwich cards, they punch a hole in them for every sandwich you buy. I think after the 9th or 10th, you get a free one. They usually have samples sitting out. I tasted a ham salad, which was good. Haven’t seen it in a while. They also have pretzels with their mustard dipping sauces. Didn’t try to those. I’m not really a pretzel person. I never knew this place was a café. I always thought it was one of those places where you buy a whole cooked ham. LOL.

I was craving ham, so my husband stopped in and bought a pound of pre-sliced ham for our dinner. It was really tasty, and the staff was super nice. I work fairly close by and based on my first experience I decided to grab a sandwich for lunch from here recently. I had the Ham & Turkey Bella and my friend had the Cranberry Walnut Chicken Salad. Both were really good, huge and fresh. They came with chips and weren’t any more expensive than other sandwich places(Panera, etc.). Again, the staff was really friendly. I will certainly be back for lunch again soon.

MMMMMM Good! Been to this place a few times and never disappointed. We picked up some ham by the pounds its the best ham I have tasted and so easy. We get extra for sandwiches and for eggs the next day. Also went and ate there in the café a few times was nice comfortable setting and people are friendly. They actually have a big menu other then ham. I love the split pea soup best in town thick with tons of ham. Really good option for pick up holiday dinner they have all the courses. They really do have lots more to offer more then the ham, but the ham is spectacular.

We visited Honeybaked Ham near the end of their Groupon deal and had a great experience. Maria was working the counter and was very helpful and made some suggestions along the way. I ordered the a toasted ham sandwich with baked beans as a side and everything was excellent. Overall, it’s a little more expensive than say a Panera, but different. If we were in the area, I would not mind stopping by.

We were pleasantly surprised by the super clean and beautifully decorated store. We saw lots of ham in the fridge and lots of sides and condiments being sold. We ordered ham turkey pesto flat bread — very good, very hearty yet light just great food that is reasonably priced. Loved that it came with chips!

My Jewish grandmother would turn over in her grave if she knew I went in here for a sandwich. But it’s not just any sandwich. This sandwich is a thing of beauty, and to be fair, I am technically only a half-Jewess, so the goy part of me felt no shame in eating it. If you’ve never had Honeybaked Ham before, you don’t know what you’re missing. Their ham has a crackly brown sugar crust and it makes me want to weep with joy. The ham itself is kind of salty, so the crust adds a delightful sweetness and texture. I can’t get enough of it. Well, there was that one time I bought half a ham for myself, which was a big mistake. I ate ham sandwiches, ham and cheese omelettes, and made split pea soup. And I still had leftovers. I ended up giving them to my other(non-Jewish) grandmother who proceeded to defile the ham with ketchup. Anyway, their ham is delicious, and they also sell turkey, a ton of side dishes, soups and desserts. Sorry, Grandma, but Honeybaked Ham has made me a fan for life. I promise to atone extra hard on Yom Kippur next year, please just let me have my ham.
