Nice place. Price wise is okay. They carry limited selection of tobacco and natural charcoal. So yes as a client recommendation I would love to see more selection of tobacco over there and damn I need my tongues there. Poor hookah guy was running back in forward to fix hookah for me. I smoke for 15 years and I want to take care of my hookah by myself. Doesn’t make any sense to have tongues away. I’m local so I will come back, hope to see some improvement.

The hookah tastes like plastic, and they charged $ 5 extra for a person. Didn’t accept cash.

I have been coming to the lounge for the last 2 months. This place offers a wide selection of tobacco for hookah. The hookahs are new and very well maintained. They also offer a wide selection of soft drinks. They allow BYOB!!! I always bring a bottle of wine to drink with my hookah which makes my visit much more enjoyable and relaxing. The ambiance is very relaxing and friendly. The couches are new and very comfortable. The décor is very pleasant. The staff is very attentive to the customers needs. The also have a jukebox with a wide selection of music. And the best of all they have free Wifi. I highly recommend the lounge for an evening of fun and relaxation!!!

Great place to hang out with friends and have a good time while smoking hookah. It’s also B.Y.O.B. so that was a plus. I’m definitely coming here to watch the Bears games with the guys.

I WILLNEVERCOMEBACKHERE!!! The Hookah flavors are good and reasonably priced, but the customer service NEEDS a lot of WORK!!! This was only my second time here and we experienced the worst service. I don’t know what happened between my first visit and this one. I don’t know if the place is under new management, it was a language barrier, they are racist or they were having an off night. My bff came here to celebrate her birthday on July 10, 2015. My bff made a reservation for 20 people, when we arrived we told our waitress it was going to be 20 people, she said fine, but sat us in a small section, by the front. that only seated 6 people comfortably, the waitress said as more people arrived she would bring out more seats, we said fine. As the night went on more and more people came and we noticed a section across the room that could accommodate more people comfortably,(the waitress kept bringing out resin chairs). We asked the waitress if we could move to the available section across the room, she stated NO and told us that section was reserved, from the time we got there until the time we left NOBODY sat in that section. So here we are, my bff’s party of 20 plus people, by this time and we are blocking the doorway, which I know was a fire hazard, people had to say excuse us to leave and enter the establishment, we were just pretty much in the way. My bff said she had a good time, but the look on her face said otherwise. We vowed NEVER to come here AGAIN. Thanks, you just lost the business of 20 plus hardworking, Hookah smoking, well tip leaving customers. The only upside to the night was we went to Steak N Shake which is about 7 minutes from this place.

I’ve been going to this place for quite a few years now and they’re always updating the place and enhancing their service & I love it! The hookahs are great and the prices are reasonable– very relaxing environment. I’ll definitely keep coming back!

Was looking for a new hookah place to go and enjoy a good hookah. I stumbled across this place near my family’s resturatnt and didn’t even know it was there for almost a year now. Finally tired the lemon mint hookah there a it by far topped all the other hookah joints in now. The prices where very reasonable considering the class the place has. I would recommend this place to anyone to go relax and enjoy a good hookah. Also service was on point.

Well I have been coming here for the last 3years and they are improving always. The hookah is fairly priced compared to other hookah bars. The ambiance is really nice … They just recently remodeled. Nice leather couches everywhere.. Big screen tvs . As for the hookah itself… Very clean and well prepared.

This is the best hookah bar in Chicago. Service and hookah is top notch! Friendly and relaxing atmosphere. But its all about the hookah and its really up to par, clean and fresh smoke on every hit. im not sure about the other bad reviews maybe they just had bad experiences or the management improved because I had a great experience. I highly recommend this place for anyone who is an amateur or experienced hookah smoker.

At first it wasn’t this bad. The interior is quite spacious, with a stage on one wall, ample leather couches and tables towards the back at the bar. They serve coffee, tea, water, and juice. The Shisha is quite good as well, and you can smoke cigars or cigarettes inside as well. It’s BYOB as are most of the places I’ve seen. I was told it was 2 hours to smoke then you can stay if you get a refill. Why was I asked after a hour and twelve minutes if I wanted my check? If I did I’d have asked for it. I asked what about the two hours that the same girl told me, and it’s like she had amnesia from just a hour ago? It’s in a good ethnically diverse neighborhood, but their service is absolute crap. I would give this a negative rating if I could. They most definitely will NOT see me in there again.

Hookah Joint Lounge is an affordable hookah stop in Chicago. It is great earlier in the evening, once the place really gets going, it feels like more of a club than a relaxing location to smoke hookah. This isn’t a negative for most people, it is for me though as I am not into the club scene. Drinks are a bit pricey but shisha costs offset this increase. I’d recommend going here if you’re looking for a good place to smoke in the City.

I Like this place. its very laid back. Like a lot of other people stated they do not have a few flavors they advertise. I Think the prices for byob is a bit pricey and some other polices but every time I do go, I enjoy my night. Again, like some people state the music does suck. im more of a electronic music fan, and when I asked to changed the hardcore rap crap They were playing, they said no on could touch the radio and no One could change it. So I don’t know what kind of radio system they use, But im sure you can change it. Otherwise I go there a bit and I like it.

My second experience in hookah cafes. My husband is addicted now, thanks to hookah joint… so we try to go back regularly. I too think that it stinks they can’t refrigerate your drinks, but when I ASked politely, «why not», they told me it is the law due to tobacco license or something… understood. But they allow you to bring what you need. kinda like ‘pot luck’…I like primo a lot. He helped us find blends of flavours. I wanted to try their apple, the most popular, but they were out. Thats why best seller/taste…guess you Gotta get there early… I tried another in north suburb first. It was really deceptively expensive. For $ 5 each, turned to 80 $, with no booze, I was shocked. I guess without asking if I needed refills of charcoal? They refilled. I didn’t know there was a charge. Would have been nice to be told prior. At hookah, The waitress asked each time and letting us know in beginning. We returned because it was dark, yet clean, and comfy. We have become regulars because. regulars are always welcomed better and nice to see familiar faces once in awhile. There are def more men than woman tho… good for me but my husband??? Ha ha. Oh, I love that we can bring our own food or deliver from shwarma inn!!! It is a «for regulars» joint, you start to get to know, even by face, the other hookah smokers. It is a great place to lounge, smoke, BYOB liquor store rt round corner, etc. No one is overly aggressive, and that’s why we love it. Just like the friendly environment to chill, and after few times, they started to say hi to us by name. A lot of good looking kazitans-Korean looking Russians. No one bothers you there. Privacy is respected, so very intimate.

I have been here twice, more recently on 4-18-2013. The hookah is good, not the best, but its is pretty decent as far as whats out there. The location is ok and while I didnt go on friday/saturday(why would I? I have fun things to do) I was confused by several things. First off the music. The first time I went they were playing good music. Mainly hip-hop and R&B which was really great to sit down and smoke to with a few friends. The night I came back for the second and what will definitely be my last time, I walked into dirty house music and dubstep. I brought some ethnic food with me to eat on my date with my girlfriend. Up to the point I asked the music to be changed I had been listening to what sounded like optimus prime raling megatron. I asked if it was possible to listen to something else. While I know its a obnoxious thing to request, I only did it because dubstep and progressive house are not exactly the music I chill out to. When I asked I got the most dumb look I have ever received from a waitress. She asked what I would like to hear and I said any kind of rap. Mouth agape she gave me the dumbest look, ever. The place is BYOB which is definitely a plus when going out. However this BYOB sucks. While my girlfriend and I had a very pretty waitress she was a snotty b*tch. theres no other way to put it. I was informed of a corking fee $ 5 per person, I am fine with that. What I was not cool with was when I asked if they could put the rest of my bottles in the fridge they said they couldnt. I ask why and they told me they arent allowed to sell me alcohol. I told them they arent selling or serving it, just chilling the bottles. they again refused and so I kept my knowledge that they could in fact legally cool it to myself. I asked for ice or something to put my beer in, no dice they dont have ice. I didnt ask again. I asked if I could atleast have a glass, no glass only foam cups. At this point I realized that one or two of these things may have been valid but one had to be bullshit. On top of that I do not know why they charged me $ 5 except to be cheeky. Here is my $ 0.02 dont waste your time coming here. There seems to be a lot of other really great places nearby. Also check out Ambrosia in Lincoln Park the servers/hostesses are super cool and are very personable. They also change your coals for you regularly and dont disappear for 45 minutes while they go play on their iphones behind the ‘bar’

Hookah Joint Lounge is a casual place to enjoy a hookah with a few friends. The inside is better than the exterior would have you believe. Large amount of couch seating areas set up for private hookah smoking and chilling out, with large televisions throughout to watch sports, movies etc. Quite dark and no distinctive ambiance, more café casual than exotic. Background music some piped in dance pop radio. Crowd pretty local, middle Eastern heritage and predominantly male. Would say friendly with nods of acknowledgment and hellos when passing. Importantly, the tobacco is very good and reasonably priced. My choice the double apple and grape mix. No food, however we did observe people enjoying take-out from nearby Devon restaurants. The venue is also discretely BYOB. Non-alcoholic drinks such as teas and sodas. Service is very good and the ladies even make an effort to replace coals and blow out the ash. Strangely one night without service change and one with a service charge.

This place was super casual. Went on a date here Saturday night around 12:30am. It wasn’t too busy. There was one large group of people, a couple people seated alone, and another couple. It is BYOB but they serve some non-alcoholic drinks such as juice and Vitamin Water. They do not serve food but ordering food to be delivered there or bringing in outside food seemed common. I don’t smoke hookah often. We ordered cotton candy flavor and it tasted o.k. The couches were comfy so good place to lounge. Several people even had their shoes off and feet kicked up. The large group was playing cards at their table. The décor wasn’t anything special. Rap music was playing when we were there. It’s a good place to chill on those nights when you don’t want to stay home but you don’t want to deal with the bar scene.
