Yeah. I DEFINITELY should have checked these reviews before I went in, but I was across the street. I needed some pants taken out, some pants taken in and a coat taken out… The lady literally said«That isn’t possible» to every request… all she was able to do was hem the bottom of some pants… I’m nervous to even go back and get them… Horrible customer service as well. Two thumbs way down.

I’ve used this dry cleaner twice, only for dry cleaning, not for alterations. They basically do a good job with the dry cleaning. The second time I dropped of a few blouses, I noticed a sign advertising a 10% discount for pre-paid service. I asked to pay when I dropped off, because 10% is 10%. Two days later I went to pick up, and the man(who speaks a lot LESS English than the woman who works there) asked me to pay. He was the same person working when I paid up front, not that I necessarily expect him to remember me. I explained that I paid when I dropped off, but I don’t think he understood me and asked me to pay again. By complete accident, I still had the receipt from two days before showing I paid(I usually throw out receipts). I pulled it out and showed him. He just looked at me, and then handed the receipt to the woman. Neither said anything to me, and I asked«Okay?» and they nodded and I left. I don’t necessarily think the pre-payment deal is a trick to get people to pay twice, but I didn’t like the way that situation way handled. I wonder what would have happened if I didn’t have my receipt? Would I have had to pay twice!!!

I took a pair of expensive jeans to be hemmed. It took them over a week because the seamstress was on vacation. That was OK since I didn’t need them ASAP. The accuracy of the length was perfect, especially since it was not an integer. However, the quality of the hem is subpar, and I did not think my standards were that high. Specifically, the part where the seams overlap(they have to, I guess) was at the front of the pants and it was a bit crooked. It is kind of noticeable, and that is unacceptable, even at their price point($ 10.50 a piece). To me this is not ineptitude, is just careless work. I compared them to the hems done for free at Nordstrom, where the overlapping in the seaming is carefully done over the inseam, which makes it barely noticeable.

I’ve been coming here for about 5 years, and have always been extremely happy with the quality of service. The staff is courteous and inspires confidence that your clothes will be taken care of(unlike in some sketchier dry cleaners in the area!).

I took a cheap pair of pants here to be hemmed to test it out before I tried anything else. They were hemmed at just the right length for ten bucks and a two day wait. I have since taken other pants for hemming and some items for cleaning and haven’t been disappointed. It seems a little pricey($ 15 to have my aunt’s dog’s muddy paw prints cleaned off a long winter coat), but I don’t have much to compare it to. The woman behind the counter is very sweet.
