I pay my monthly bills there and they are prompt. Reliable store.

I have been in this store twice, as it is right down the street. The first time, my daughter was visiting from China and we went in to see if she could swap out a SIM card. We figured the phone was too cheap for that, which we were right about. The second time I went in was today. My T-Mobile Samsung Gravity-T refused to turn on. I’d gotten a bizarre message from T-Mobile that said my payment was overdue(it’s on autopay, so that that’s kind of impossible). Then the phone promptly shut off and would not turn back on. It had been fully charged. Nonetheless, I plugged it in just in case it hadn’t been charging. I got a picture of a phone with some blue bars and dots under it. For a couple of hours, I tried removing the battery and SIM card, just battery, just the SIM card. Plugging it in, Recycling. Nothing. TMobile checked the account; all was fine. i was told I had to go into the store so they could further test it. This shop was right across the street, so I decided to see if the tech there had any answers. It’s f**in too hot today to walk the 7 blocks to TMobile. The tech took out the battery, examined it and said it looked fine. Then, it just magically turned on. I told him what I had been doing with that phone and he was surprised to hear that I had already taken out the battery, etc., numerous times. The hone did lock up not too long ago due to a memory issue. So I wonder if its days are numbered. In any case, I’ll wait and see. I would not hesitate to go back and get something from his shop when the phone poops out. I didn’t check out his selection, but a sign says that he buys used phones. Perhaps he sells them. In any case, he’s a really nice guy who really seems to know what he is doing. And he has a magic touch. He says his wife says that, too. So if your phone is acting strangely, perhaps all it needs is for him to touch it! It reminds me of all those times you call the repairman and as soon as he walks in, whatever was broken decides to work. I used to think it was a coincidence and that the universe had decided to make a fool out of me; now I think maybe it is true that some people really do have a Midas touch!
