Jack Spade

The store is never crowded which is nice, but sometimes that means the employees are breathing down your neck. They honor online sales (which are pretty frequent) and have happy hour until 7 during the week!

I like this store. I bought 2 pants + another online. The quality is excellent, durable and trendy. Charlie and Gregory are friendly and helpful. The store is small but cozy and full of interesting Items. Before buying elsewhere I always check and consider this store.

I’ve always received fantastic customer service at this location. While I’ve generally had positive shopping experiences at all Jack Spade stores (specifically Newport Beach, Washington, DC, and New York), I must say that the Gold Coast store is among the friendliest and has a solid selection of bags, accessories, leather goods, and clothing. It’s very hard for me to walk by Oak Street without dropping in to see all the lovely temptations on the shelves!

Have you ever had a store «speak» to you? I do every now and again, but it’s rare for me to find a men’s store that screams to me «I’m the store for you?» until I walked into Jack Spade. I’ve written before that I’m to that age that I don’t always know how to dress for my age. I’m too young to become the Tommy Bahama guy and too old to dress in American Apparel clothes. It’s been the Gap for me until I discovered the simple beauty of the Jack Spade store.
I love everything about the store. The aesthetic is what I imagine to be a 1950’s Adirondack vibe! The bags, accessories and clothing all seem straight forward, utilitarian, quality designed items with a modern flair that seem timeless. I love a good simple design that screams quality and fashion all in one. I didn’t have the $‘s to purchase any clothing, but I did get an awesome duffle bag and quality wallet that I feel both will last for decades to come.
Sadly there are only five stores nation wide, NOT including the city that I live, so it will be online shopping for me. But, if you find yourself in a city that houses a Jack Spade store, stop in, take a look and see how it speaks to you.
