Where to start… Claretha’s client intake process was a sign, from the very beginning, of her diligence and the care she genuinely holds for her work. She did a more thorough assessment of my health history than most doctors I have ever seen and very thoughtfully /empathetically formulated a plan for dealing with my various(and numerous) concerns. The continuity of my care, here, is outstanding. At the beginning of each session, Claretha has consistently followed up about the results of her previous work and tailored the visit to suit my absolutely current needs. Her record keeping and attention to detail are pretty remarkable. She is also very knowledgeable about many medical traditions– which is just cool. Her nutritional approach to health is very practical — she has often offered actual recipes to support the acupuncture and moxa. Treatments have even been tailored to support/coincide with the goals of my MD’s advice. This care has helped me to deal with issues of focus/clarity, major digestive ailments, menstrual problems, and lack of energy. Energy and digestive issues have been the ones most clearly and strongly relieved, for me. Meaningful. Period. Claretha’s empathy and attention have never wavered. I always look forward to my sessions with her. Skip the mani-pedi! Book a session here! Also worth mentioning: this Bucktown Jade Path space is attached to Zen Yoga Garage. If you are lucky you might be able to book a session buttressed right up against your favorite Yoga class. Truly a great caretaker and a very helpful service. Nice, clean, lovely office too! All around super-positive experience.

I had my first acupuncture treatment ever, and let me tell you, if you’ve never tried, or are scared of the pins, do yourself a favor and just give it a shot! Claretha asked me a few questions about my medical and personal history, and then crafted a treatment specifically for me and what I was looking for(which was basically less stress and more focus). She has a way to put you at ease when you walk in the door, and by the time you start the treatment, you’re at a certain level of relaxation. During the treatment, you start letting go more. And afterwards, it almost feels like you’ve been to a buddhist monastery(kidding, but not really!!!). My treatment was right before a vacation, and I have to tell you, I didn’t stress about anything for 4 days. It was awesome! I’m headed back soon, because I do think my focus was much less scattered and that’s valuable to me in running my business. I’ll update here after my second treatment…
