Very first thing we noticed about this little strip mall spot is that it is spotless. Ordered egg rolls, fried won tons, hot and sour soup, wonton soup, beef with pea pods, and a pork dish. Large portions that are delish. And ready in minutes. Hot and sour soup was thick and flavorful, won ton soup had more won tons than normal, beef was so tender and pea pods crunchy, and pork dish so good! We will be back as we are at UIC Medical Center often. Convenient, free parking, and good.

Jason’s Wok, a great place to check out if you are in the area or just so happen to live in the neighborhood like my boyfriend and I. We have ordered from here several times and each time seems to get better and better! The food is great and the staff is pretty nice too if you give them the time and patience they need to make your food to your order! I find it hard to believe the harsh reviews, really! Each one of our orders, past and present, has always been a deal that you couldn’t beat! The staff really give you a bang for your buck, you get a ton of food — you get quantity and quality in every order. The staff truly make it a point to get you what you want without having to wait forever! I’ve ordered take out as well and that process was quick and easy also! I should mention that I have certain food restrictions, being a strict vegetarian, and have no problem ordering food with special instructions and ingredient adjustments. Have not had a problem and the special orders are always something to come back for! Honestly, we are happy to have Jason’s Wok next to us! Always there when we are in a pinch or when my boyfriend is craving Chinese food! Check it out!

Went in at 1:30pm ordered tofu dish. No warning about it taking longer. At least 4 orders went in after mine and were completed. No one says anything and then when I inquire a snippy lady in back states tofu takes longer. No apology nothing. Took 30 minutes to get my food and they were not busy I was the only one in the place when I ordered. This is the 3rd time I’ve felt service was slow and staff was rude. ILLNEVER go BACKNOW. If they’d have at least offered an apology or a warning I would feel better. As I walked out I heard a sarcastic comment as if they were annoyed that I would ask about the timing of my food. You can go anywhere in the city for a sit down dinner and get your meal in 30 – 40 minutes. It’s just take out Chinese and tofu at that.

This is a middle-of-the-road Chinese place that delivers exactly what you’d expect. When you’re in the mood for inexpensive Chinese food that tastes pretty much like every Chinese place place, they’re perfect. The atmosphere of the restaurant isn’t terribly comfortable, so take-out or delivery is the way to go. The short, quick taking of orders over the phone could easily come off as unfriendly, but I mostly just find it fast and efficient.

The food is OK, but I don’t know what it is about Chinese food places where the people answering the phone’s are just rude. It’s a put off and they no nothing about customer service. I also expect my delivery to be delivered to my door. not for me to pay for delivery and have to come outside and get my food. But to offset that, I just don’t tip. Find some customer service!

Just ordered take out from here. Started off with the crab rangoons and egg rolls, both were below average but not bad. Next, I moved onto my wonton soup. I opened it and was immediately confused by the over abundance of lettuce and lack of broth. I hadn’t even begun looking for the wontons, when my eyes settled on a very noticeable hair deeply intertwined within the lettuce… Obviously, lost my appetite a little after this, but powered on through to my meal. I ordered the orange chicken(I know… Very original), which was ok but still below average for most other fast food Chinese restaurants I’ve frequented. My boyfriend ordered the sweet and sour chicken, which he enjoyed but still thought the sweet and sour sauce was below average. Prices are really cheap for a lot of food, so that’s a plus! Sorry, but I’m probably not going to give this place a second chance.

Food here Was ok. Nothing to special when it comes to Chinese food. Crab Rangoon was pretty bad. Mongolian beef was a bit spicy for me. I like it a bit sweeter. I’m not sure if I would order from them again. They are pricey but do give good portions. The taste and quality are lacking.

Crazy cheap for how much food they give. I’ve been here about half a dozen times now, and the food is consistent, very tasty, and the take-out boxes are always stuffed to the max. The lunch and dinner specials are an especially good deal. If coming with a group, consider the group meals, but keep in mind how HUGE they are. I’d usually recommend ordering one size smaller than you’d expect when getting a group meal. Also, the«spicy» options tend to be on the milder side, so ask for«extra spicy» if you want some heat. Overall, my favorite local Chinese place.

The new women with orange hair is one of the rudest counter helper I have ever meet at a business. Portions are getting smaller and less quality. Never going back.

Shrimp with lobster sauce and veggies fried rice, yum. I got the lunch special and had enough for dinner. The shrimp were fresh and the vegetables were crunchy and its conveniently located next to my nail shop.

I’ve been ordering from here for over a year now and I love this place. It’s fast, reasonably priced, and the portions are generous. 5lbs of Lo Mein for $ 8? Sign me up! The online ordering makes it even better. Will definitely be having Jason’s Wok leftovers in my fridge in the future!

The portions are pretty good but taste-wise(at least for me) was just mediocre. Their shrimp fried rice was yummy. The egg foo young and crab rangoon was a little disappointing.

Ordered BBQ fried rice, chicken egg foo young and wings. Everything was just ok. Wings a little over seasoned, too salty. Better food, prices, and service at the Chinese food place on Madison(except this place has tables).

If I could give negative stars I would. TL:DR Did they end up charging my credit card? YES. Did I ever get my food? NO. I ordered once before when they first opened, because a menu was put into my mailbox. Note, I live 3 blocks away from this restaurant. The driver called me 2 hours later because he was lost and needed help finding my house. I couldn’t believe it. I could have walked and picked up my food faster than he attempted to deliver it. He got my address wrong! Sigh. By the time I got my food it was an ice cold, congealed mess — barely edible. The restaurant had no apologies for me. I wrote them off. Cut to tonight, I see all these rave reviews on Unilocal of how great the food is, I decide to give them a second chance. I made the mistake of telling the restaurant, «I live around the corner — last time your driver got lost.» They argued with me! They told me their driver has 5 years experience, no way he could get lost, he knows the neighborhood — he doesn’t even deliver to where you say he ended up, you must have ordered from a different restaurant — not us. You made a mistake, not our mistake. I pointed out that as a business, part of keeping customers is to not yell at them and tell them they are wrong. I wasn’t asking for anything. I didn’t ask for a discount, I didn’t want anything free — all I wanted was to give them a second chance and get some hot food on this cold rainy night. I was so upset by the time I got off the phone with them I decided to call them back — when I was argued with AGAIN. It really takes a lot to get me upset — but I was, so much so, that I ended up cancelling the order. No business from me Jason’s Wok — even if you are less than a mile away :( Edit: 55 minutes later, I get a phone call, «I ordered delivery?»(since I called an alternative place, I said, «ok, be right down!» without thinking) I get outside, and there is no one there. I’m standing outside in the rain. I try calling back the number 312−929−5679, and at the same time, he calls me again, asking if I’m going to come down. I say, «I’m standing outside!» He seems confused. I ask, «What restaurant are you delivering from?» He refuses to answer, and instead asks me to tell him my address again. He again refuses to answer what restaurant he’s delivering from when I repeated my query, so I verify my address — apparently Mr. 5 years delivery experience is LOSTAGAIN — and this time after I cancelled my order! He says something, but it’s so hard to hear out in the rain with the traffic, I have no idea what it was he said. I tried calling him back from inside my building — no answer. Never did find my place, and finally answers the phone when I tried calling him back over an hour later — Did they end up charging my credit card? YES. Did I ever get my food? NO. He confirmed he delivers for Jason’s Wok, but when I asked him if he tried delivering to my house, but got lost, he said he’d need to call me back and hung up on me. I know this place has many positive reviews I won’t sway anyone from staying away, but I wish I could. This is absolutely no way to run a business. I want my money back!!!

Best value in the city! Food is really good, and the portions are HUGE. I usually get the Orange Chicken and fried rice dinner, egg rolls and crab rangoons. So much food my family can never finish in one meal. Staff is very friendly and fast.

Since I was stuck at work for Easter I decided to treat myself to some Chinese food… I found Jason’s Wok through Unilocal Great and convenient way to order food online! I ordered shrimp lo mein, an egg roll and sticky buns! The lo mein and sticky buns were delicious! (Sticky buns are similar to zeppoles except covered in regular sugar instead of powdered sugar) The eggrolls were just ‘ok’ The portion size of the lo mein was impressive and they sent 8 buns for ~3 beans Total order(with delivery) was ~$ 14 I will be ordering from there again Benefit greater than the cost :)

LOVETHISPLACE! So I’m a nutrition student so Chinese usually isn’t on my takeout list much. However, Jason’s wok has some delicious semi-healthy options for when I’m super hungry after the gym. My usual go-to is the green pepper chicken. It’s simple, chicken, green peppers, and black bean sauce with rice and a side of crab Rangoon(which I substitute an egg roll for). It’s tasty as heck and just what I need after a workout. Go protein! Every time I go there, anytime, the ladies working the front are so nice and just overall happy to serve me. I think they know my name. Oh, and my meal only runs $ 6.05 and even comes with a drink! And most the time it makes two meals! This place just rocks! If I ever move to a different neighborhood, I will definitely make the trip back over here once in a while for some awesome food! :)

I think that for lunch this place is the bomb, And that is good! They’re lunch specials are wonderful and very economical. You can get a good helping of lunch special and an eggroll with a pop? For less than $ 7? This is definitely the place to get that at. The service is not bad and the food is awesome, I mean not super duper awesome but still its not a bad place to eat.
