Tasted like a regular sub, bread is dry so need to have their sauce to make it better. Had the roast beef nothing special wasn’t as tasty like I thought it would be. Have had better roast beef for less price in other fast food places

Originally from the East Coast. Just had my first sandwich from here and tasted exactly like the heroes I used to get back home. May have been the best turkey sandwich I’ve had in Chicago. Thank you for the friendly service and awesome sandwich. Will definitely be back!

as usual a solid sandy today fresh cut and super fast good service. tho asked my sammy# a few too many times. anyway, my one ‘beef’ no pun is getting asked if im part of mikes club or whateverTF that is. look-it do yourselves a big big favor curt that crap out. if you must, put up a sign at register saying ask about mikes club if interested. do not freaking ask every customer. I used to bitch about this with borders books. now look where they are. U ask again next time and I never come back. Truth!

Stop here usually once a week as it’s close to work, subs are always good(wish they didnt run out of the Rosemary bread so often but.) But in this review I wanted more to make mention of an outstanding employee. Every time I go in there, a guy named Carlton is working, Carlton is an outgoing energetic guy who is ALWAYS in a good mood… in a world full of «Next please» and«take a number», Carlton is a great experience to watch. he is interacting with people chatting up there day with them. it is quite refreshing to see and be a part of it. Thank you Carlton for taking such a mundane transaction as getting lunch, and making it a pleasant experience, it’s appreciated, and I wanted to take a moment to rwrite this to show my gratitude.

Always a disaster!!! The staff is either incompetent or apathetic. Either way — expect to wait a long time for an order that’s probably going to be wrong anyway.

I’ve eaten at a lot of Jersey Mike’s, and this location is the worst. Apathetic employees who don’t say hello and thank you and higher than average prices than other Jersey Mike’s I’ve visited. Spare us the«higher rent downtown» shtick. Jimmy Johns next door doesn’t charge an average of $ 9 for a sandwich.

Food is amazing but the speed of the service is horrible. 3 people working and 2 didn’t even seem to care how many people were waiting in line. Few customers couldn’t wait so they just walked out. I would have done the same if they weren’t working on my sub. Took them almost 5 minutes to make my Italian sub. Almost waited 15−20minutes for my sub.

I miss Wawa, being a South Jersey guy myself and this is a close 2nd. They do put a little much oil and Vinegar in the sandwich, so just ask for light. The use of the word Subs is ok cause they are a North Jersey operation. Just wish they had Herr’s chips to make it a true Jersey experience. Customer service could be a little improved. Just not a well oiled machine yet. That will come over time. I will be back 4 sure.

My fiancé and I were hungry for a late night snack and wanted to get a more healthy option then just your typical fast food place. Not many sub shops are open late so seeing that Jersey Mike’s on Ohio was open until 10pm, we quickly made our way over there. At 9:45pm I decided to call so our subs would be ready and we could do a fast pick up order. When I called 15 minutes before closing nobody answered. We continued to head over there knowing we had just enough time. We pulled up to Jersey Mikes at 9:53pm and they were closed! I used to work in retail and I know that you never close before the posted time! Even if a customer walks in at 9:59pm you still need to serve them! They closed 7 minutes early and stopped answering the phone 15 minutes before closing! Very disappointing and poor customer service!

General Service– I’ve been to this location quite a few times because I live and work in the area. The service in the past year has gone down hill. About a year ago they had the best crew working there but now all of those familiar faces are gone. The people working there now don’t really seem to care about their customers or the orders they are preparing. They rush the orders and ask customers to repeat themselves more than once. I’d like to see it get back to how it was back in the good ol’ days. Food– very tasty(when they get the order right). I feel like I need to watch their every move so nothing is left off the sandwich. My past few orders have been wrong– nothing too crazy, but little things like no mayo, no bacon, wrong type of mustard, no sweet chili relish(which is actually kind of a big deal because it’s such a yummy condiment and great addition to the sandwich). I hope something is done about the service. I’ve been to this place so many times and it would be a shame to see it go downhill even more. P. S. R. Kelly has been seen eating here quite a few times. Look for the dark blue Bentley parked outside. :-)

If you’re looking for a standard sub sandwich during your hour lunch break, the food here is great. No complaints there. However, the service here stinks and I’m bummed because it doesn’t have to! The employees rush to set up a billion sandwiches on the line and customers have to repeat their order 3 – 4 times before someone can actually remember what they’ve asked for. THEN, whoever is on register is always trying to cash people out before their sandwich has even been made. Agh! I just want to see everyone work together and get along. Too much rushing, too much shouting over one another, and not enough smiles and remembering of orders.

I visited the streeterville jersey mike’s for lunch today with a couple coworkers and just KNEW after my experience there that this Unilocal page HAD to be filled with reviews about the poor service and surly workers. CONFIRMED. I’m titling this lil story«Mike’s Way» or «No Way» So I had a hankering for a reuben, which I knew they had… but was thinking I could lighten it up a bit by subbing the pastrami for turkey(after seeing both sub flavors were the same price). Wrong… what a silly thought. Me: Could I get the reuben sub with turkey? Worker:(Befuddled look) No we can’t do that Me:(laugh a little) Really??? Me: Hmmm, ok… can I order a TURKEY sub and put sauerkraut and thousand island dressing on it then? Worker:(LONGPAUSE) Uhhhh, sure we can do that… so like the reuben but with turkey? Me:(WOW) Yes please. Worker: Would you like me to heat up the sauerkraut? Me: Sure that would be great… can you do the turkey too?(THINGSARELOOKINGUP) Worker: No we can’t do that? Me: Are you serious? Why? Worker: We’re just not allowed to. I think something happened once.(GREATREASONCAPTAINVAGUE) Me:(GIVINGUP) Ok, let’s just roll with the heated up sauerkraut then please. Enter what I assume must be the surly manager from the other descriptions on this page… he takes over dressing the sandwiches in the line up. Surly Manager: Mike’s Way? Me: No thanks. Worker: She is getting thousand island with sauerkraut Surly manager:(Clearly annoyed moves on to another sandwich in the lineup that follows the«rules») Worker:(puts warmed sauerkraut on my cold turkey sub) So you want thousand island too right? Me: Yes please Surly Manager: What else? Me: That’s it thanks Surly Manager:(wraps up sandwich gruffly) Me: Sorry things got complicated when I tried to get a turkey reuben(laugh to try and lighten the mood) Surley Manager:(NOEXPRESSION) We’re not allowed to put meat on the grill(rings me up) Me: Hm. Thanks can I get a bag? Surley Manager: Whips open bag and hands it to me. I walk over to my two coworkers who I thought had been waiting on me and go to leave… my coworker says, «I am still waiting on mine… they had to put the meat on the grill so it always takes longer.» WHA? BAFFLED. This place is ridiculous. I will say my sammy was pretty solid after I put it in the toaster oven in my work break room. Natch.

Wow. Rude. Visited on Sunday, April 13 around 3pm. Was scolded about not entering their queue correctly when no one else was in it. Sounded like the two rocket scientist employees got a strange kick out of making fun of my line entry logistics. Will never be back.

Went here a couple of days ago and the service was terrible. We went there a bit after it opened, the Open sign was still off and the majority of the lights were off inside the place. As soon as we decided to take a chance and believe the hours on the door, we opened the door and the staff ran to the back. After a few minutes I had to holler«hello» for someone to come from the back. After they came, the staff weren’t very friendly. Sorry your store hours say you are open, but you aren’t ready to work! Won’t be going back to this location.

So you think subway is a real sub right? WRONG. Closet thing I’ve found to a boston sub this side of the delaware. The meats are sliced in front of you, the bread is soft yet the right amount of crisp. The largest side huge, think 20″ long huge, you can get one and split it with a friend or family. Not bad for $ 20 in this city. I recommend either the 13(italian) or either of the cheese steaks. All cold sandwiches should be had mikes way which is lettuce, tomato, onion, salt & pepper, oil & vinegar, and their herb blend. Not low cal but it is absolutely delicious. Check it out for a good fast food sub, especially if you think subway is the bees knees.

As a Jersey girl this place makes me sad. First of all… they are called hoagies. not subs… And this place is no Wawa which is the most magically place for hoagies in NJ and surrounding states. I feel like they use too much oil on their hoagies to the point where its gross.

I like their smallest size sub… it’s the perfect size for me and the price is right. I also like giving my business to a local joint, instead of the many no name sandwich shops that litter cities. Fast service, great options, and good prices. However, the seating is incredibly limited and the space at this location is awkward. I get my food to go.

I’m SO happy to have yet another quality lunch option open up near my office! My sandwich(turkey & provolone) was fresh and delicious… I like that they slice the meat in front of you, and it’s super thin-sliced, which I love. The bread was fresh… soft with the right amount of crispiness, good topping choices, and they were as fast as they could be, considering the line was insane. There is a decent amount of seating inside, but it was so crowded, staying there was not an option today. As far as comparing to other sandwich shops, well, I can’t even stomach to walk inside a Subway anymore… so I’d say that Jersey Mike’s quality is FAR superior to Subway, and better than Jimmy John’s as well. I’ll definitely be back!
