Great place! Love coming here, the bartenders are solid and you cannot beat the $ 1 bottles! I’ve never had a tastier Miller lite!

Came here during my Friday night bar hopping session in Lincoln park. Out of all the bars, this was the least busiest but they had a dj who was playing decent music. They also had the lights system and good drink prices(paid $ 8 for a Budweiser and tequila sunrise). Nice bar, no complaints here.

This place is fun! Good music and fun crowd. We came for a TTU game and all staff were super attentive. Got a well drinks and the special and they were both very tasty. I like the layout of the sports bar and it has a very welcoming appeal. The food was good too(we tasted the chicken quesadilla). I would definitely check this place out again! :)

I went here with my husband to watch the Texas Tech game. We weren’t too hungry but wanted to split a burger. We ordered ONE burger and fries and it took 30 min plus. I finally had to flag down a waiter to ultimately find out my burger was given away to another customer. It took another 15 min to get is our food. No discounts just one sad apology. So don’t go here unless your are willing to wait for bad overpriced bar food.

This place has good music and it had a good crowd on Saturday night. However, the service was CRAPPY. The bartenders were extremely rude and didn’t even seem like they wanted to be there, nonetheless service anyone. They definitely could have ruined our experience if I hadn’t been around such good company.

So I went here at 11:30PM on 8⁄15 and the bouncer asked for our IDs with no vocal communication. He simply threw up the card sign. My fiancé called him out and said«wow very welcoming. No words at all.» The bouncer responds«you know the drill I don’t need to talk» I called him an a-hole and he proceeded to block us from coming into the bar. We asked to talk to the manager and he said he was the manager… LOL. Great joint! The establishment next door we went to the bouncer greeted me with«how are you doing tonight? ID Please.» Im sure the place is great to grab a drink at, but Kelseys, please work on that staff!

I have no idea what this place is like when a sporting event is going on-I wouldn’t even think about venturing in here then because this block of Lincoln Avenue brings out some of the most brain-dead and worst of humanity on those evenings. BUT, on an evening when a sporting event isn’t going on and if you’re looking for a good place to have a drink, get a bite to eat, and enjoy some conversation with some friends, this is the place to go. I work as an actor at the Greenhouse often and there is no decent place to go after a show to have a drink with friends EXCEPT this place. I don’t know if he is the owner or the manager but there is a guy there who seems to oversee the place who is just terrific. The drinks are good and I highly recommend getting their Bavarian Pretzel which is huge, came piping hot and was crispy, fresh, and delicious. Comes with mustard and a cheese sauce. Forego the cheese, it was bland. The mustard was great. Thank God for this place.

Used to come here all the time until tonight when they started playing country music. Way to dumb the place down. There are plenty of bars on Lincoln Ave. so it’s easily to go someplace else.

We stopped at this place for a bit while out and about exploring what Chicago had to offer, and the service we had was a friendly/rude combo. Like your kooky uncle who thinks he’s a comedian. Charming to me but maybe not for everyone. Beer selection seemed decent to this out of Towner, and our table ordered the gringo nachos. Definitely for gringos, but that’s what I wanted!

We turned Kelsey’s into the home for watching Atlanta Falcons games in Chicago back in 2008, and it’s now a lil taste of A-Town for a few hours every gameday! The staff is just wonderful, the specials can’t be beat, and there’s no pretentious yuppy nonsense!

I came here this past weekend, and there’s really not much to say about the place. It’s an average Lincoln Park bar. I think I got Labatt Blue on draft for $ 4.50. There are plenty of TVs with sports on. There are also pool tables in back with some booths. Otherwise they have high top tables in front. It also looks like they have some decent specials most days of the week.

Buyer beware: they overcharged my credit card when I was here on St. Patrick’s Day. Granted, they only overcharged by a dollar, so it’s not THAT big of a deal, but I still can’t help but wonder if it was an honest mistake or not. I still have my receipt, after all. Despite this, the drinks were decently priced and the food was suprisingly good(for bar food, anyway). Just save your receipts.

They have good specials, but after going to this bar a few times, it has lost it’s appeal. Good place to come watch a game and well-designed bar. It’s fun if you bring a group and you can play a game of pool in the back with the booths. Not the most sanitary kitchens… then again it is a bar kitchen, but still.

West Philadelphia born and raised on the playground is where I spent most of my days… then my mom sent me to Lincoln park and I found this bar called Kelsey’s. They have the best bartenders here. A lot of red headed bartenders, so they serve a lot of fireball. One of the bouncers was playing with a light bright. The music was quite fresh, but one of the bartenders kept requesting O-town. Good thing I dig them! I also lost 30 bucks in a dice game with the«tenders.» Well worth it tho, Jameson and polar bear fights made me question a journey to rehab, but then the jovial and always friendly barback lizzardo flew in with a superman cape and saved the day. I want to start a softball team cuz of this guy. Come to Kelsey’s if you like America and fun

Decent place to come watch a game. I read that Kelsey’s played Mizzou games, so we stopped by even though those reviews were written years ago. Another game had just ended when we arrived around 7PM, and the place was basically empty for the two hours we were there. The staff was friendly and switched to our game on one of their many flatscreens. White trash mimosa: $ 5 on Saturdays! It comes in a pint glass instead of a champagne glass. Turkey chili nachos: A huge amount of food for $ 7.95. There was a disproportionate amount of jalapenos on top(I love spicy food but I’m not trying to eat a whole jar of the stuff), but overall it was fine by bar standards.

This place has an almost-passable beer list for a mediocre Lincoln Ave. bro-bar.Next door, owned by the same people, rocks such classy events as «watch young men beat the crap out of each other cagefight tournaments,» featuring«$ 5 cover for men, free for women.» Reminds me of my frat party days. I’ve had bloody marys(maries?) here twice, and the most recent time it tasted like a mixture between tomato juice and a melted lime freeze pop. Could have been, just sayin’. Who knows? Food is cheap and tolerable for how cheap it is. Service is always decent. Their bar itself is pretty nice, and it’s nice that they can open up the windows in the front during warmer weather. I could do without the rows of Jameson bottles on the top shelf of the bar, though– really?

This was the perfect spot for my BF and I to grab a bite to eat and a couple of drinks on Friday night. We opted not to do the wristband deal($ 30 as there was a charity event that night, but normally $ 15 for drinks and a buffet of pizza & wings). We grabbed a table right next to the front window that was perfect for me to people watch and perfect for the BF to watch the Blackhawks game on one of the many TVs. The food was surprisingly delicious. I had the grilled chicken panini that had chicken, tomatoes, goat cheese, and spinach. The fries that came with were yummy. BF got a sandwich that he also enjoyed, and the 2 sandwiches + 5 draft beers(Stella) came to(drum roll please!) … $ 32! For such a decent meal in a relaxing atmosphere in the middle of Lincoln Park, I consider this a steal. I look forward to coming back soon & often to take advantage of these deals.

Welcoming! Okay, I really liked this place! We popped in before dinner on NYE and ending up coming back after wards. They were one of the only places that didn’t have a package and were serving reasonably priced drinks. When I say reasonably priced I mean $ 4 for a pint. I With the exception of dinner, we spent most of NYE here. Everyone was welcoming and friendly — the bartenders, the DJ and the customers. If we are in Lincoln Park again, we are mos def stopping in.

I like Kelsey’s! And trust me, like is a word I’m hesitant to use when I’m talking about any bar close in proximity to Depaul. It is a chill place, the bartender was enjoyable to chat up and there was no wait for a drink. And the drink specials are highly appreciated, there’s something about paying less than $ 5 for a drink that makes it seem just a tad tastier. I’m not a regular on Lincoln Ave but if I found myself venturing those parts again, I wouldn’t mind stopping back into Kelsey’s.

What’s an Atlanta girl to do when she is displaced to Chicago the weekend of the Falcons/Giants game? Well, she sells her tickets to the game, hits the internet, searches Google, finds Kelsey’s listed as a Chicago Falcons bar and then messages Joey on Unilocal to verify that it’s still a Falcons bar. Ohhh the power of the web! My family thought I was crazy when I told them that there was a Falcons bar in Chicago. They were even more skeptical when I told them it was in Lincoln Park. We were on the south side visiting family and going to the north side when you are a south sider is a no-no for some reason. I did however manage to convince them to make the drive to Kelsey’s and everyone had a great time. Everyone in the bar was very welcoming and it was refreshing to be in a bar packed with so many other Falcons fans. It was entertaining watching the staff tell the Bears fans to go to the bar next door. They had good drink and food specials. We ordered lots of food and drinks during our 3.5 hours stay at Kelsey’s. We started with mozzarella sticks, spinach dip and some wings. The sticks and dip were good — very standard — and I cannot comment on the wings because I don’t eat them. My husband said that were very good. For the main event I got the chicken philly and tots. The tots were so dang cripsy and good… just perfect! I drank the Sam Adam’s Winter Lager — perfectly cold and delicious. There were only two bartenders but they worked together and service wasn’t a problem. Great job girls!!! The atmosphere is wonderful and the food is good. What more could you want on a Sunday afternoon? Oh yeah, maybe a victory shot on the house? We got one of those too.
