The grill chicken taste like home town Mexico. If you try it you’ll be back . A real gem. I love this place.

Take care with the dates of the food, a lot of short dates at the grocery brands.

This place is located in my old hood. The place where I grew up. They are famous for their chicken and salsa. You can get all of your Mexican staples here. Everything, cheese, tortillas, peppers, canned goods, pinatas,. Do I need to continue?

A reasonable Mexican grocery, carrying all of your favorite south of the border brands(jarritos, abuelita, Goya) and staples(mango or cucumber slices sprinkled with lime and chili pepper) plus some you may not know, and at a very reasonble price. The produce is quite cheap but sometimes not the freshest– better to pick up stuff for tonights meal rather than for the week. But the true gem here is the little cafeteria behind the bread shelves– it looks closed off but is open to the public, and serves some of the freshest, tastiest steak tacos you can get on the far south side. Not to be ignore is the self-professed specialty of the place, the wonderfully seasoned, mouthwatering roasted chicken. Get a chicken meal including tortillas, rice and beans to feed a family for ~15 bucks. Great deal.
