What’s not to like? Interesting specials that go beyond the usual Middle Eastern fare if you walk inside. Service was friendly and quick. Delicious falafel and eggplant sandwich. The prices are good. There are lots of small tables with power outlets if you are a student and would like to spend some time here.

The food is decent but nothing special from a Mediterranean«fast-casual» place. Unfortunately I’ve been disappointed with the service nearly 3 times now. First, my co-workers and I called to place an order and they didn’t have something that was on the menu. The second time, we ordered delivery and they could not find our address even though it is only a few blocks away. They were rude to my coworker on the phone and told her it «didn’t exist»(hint: try Google Maps!) Finally, I ordered a falafel plate and a side of hummus, but instead of a full side of hummus they just spooned a little on the plate. So be very specific. Overall, if you are in the area and have a taste for this type of food then it’s fine, but I wouldn’t go out of my way.

Often call in an order for pick up 5 – 10 minutes in advance(as I get into a car) One regular Falafel and one with Eggplant Two Mediterranean Salads I pick it up — its fresh — my wife and I eat it at home with Tehini sauce — very good(and a fair price)

I had the chicken shawarma sandwich and ate it there. It was delicious. The sandwich was also a pretty large size for the price. Service was good. Overall I was pretty happy.

1.99 Friday falafel sandwich special is enough to give 5 stars rating. 2 for one person is too much. Good hummus.

I’ve been on a Lebanese food kick lately and decided to stop here since its by my house. I ordered the falafel sandwich and Mediterranean salad. The salad was pretty bland and had old lettuce bits, the falafel was pretty good although I thought it was weird it came with pickles. I gave this place a second try on a Friday for the falafel deal and I wanted to try the lentil soup. They told me they were out of soup, despite the sign sitting outside the door«lentil soup, discount for Loyola students»…okayyy so I got hummus instead. The pita tasted burnt, and overall had a weird bitter taste. I probably won’t return again, I much prefer Taste of Lebanon x10

My fiancé and I tried Le Pita Fresh on Halloween. We walked past it enough that we figured we would give it a try. The service was courteous and fast and there is certainly no shortage of seats. I had the chicken shawarma plate for about $ 9.99. It was wonderful! The Mediterranean rice was well prepared and flavorful. The chicken itself was also great! Very flavorful and tender(as tender as shawarma can be that is). The salad was OK, but I didn’t really mind. I left full and satisfied with the world. I highly recommend trying them out! It’s a great value and a great alternative to many of the restaurants as you head north on Broadway.

Absolutely the best mediterranean food i’ve had in Chicago! Makes Pita Inn taste like McDonalds. I will definitely be going back for the awesome customer service and falafel wraps. Great portion size for the value as well.

The chicken shawerma is the best I’ve ever had! Honestly a must try. My girlfriend and I were in Loyola campus and we stumbled across this hidden gem. Right away the new owner or manger took our order with the up most respect, very polite. He right away mentioned that the place was under née ownership. The atmosphere wasn’t no noise which was perfect. Food had a lot of flavor and was different than most Mediterranean joints, really enjoyed the chicken shaw my girlfriend tried the. Beef which she also thought it was one of the best too. The owner gave us a free hummus which was very nice and tasty. Most def coming back for some more.

Great food and great prices. The staff are very polite, and they are prompt. I love coming here for a late-evening vegetarian meal. I recommend the veggie platter. Have never had a bad experience there, and I don’t expect to in the future :-)

Fantastic falafel. Perfect hummus. Free delivery. New owner is making this place great. It was a 3-star place last time I was in. The customer service is wonderful now. Let Pita Fresh is now on my speed dial.

My fiancé and I went here to grab a quick lunch on Saturday. It’s a decent place, with plenty of room to sit and hangout with a group, if that’s what you need. They make their food fresh, which has its pros and cons. Whatever you get has been made recently, which is nice, but that means that they’re missing some of their menu items if you get there too early. We wanted some fried cheese, but they hadn’t made it yet, which was fine, but a little disappointing. The food is very reasonable and filling for what you get. I got a sandwich for under $ 5, and I didn’t need to snack or anything until dinner time rolled around. It’s not amazingly great food — I certainly wouldn’t go out of my way to visit this place — but it’s not bad and good for the price. If you’re craving some Lebanese food, and you’re in the area, then this is a good stop to make. I had the beef kefta sandwich, which was kind of bland, but the spicy red sauce they give you on the side is delicious, so I ate it with that and really enjoyed it. I haven’t tried their falafels, which is my fiancé’s favorite dish from them, so maybe next time.

Came here twice after finals with my group of friends. Today’s falafel Friday which I love. 1.99 $ a sandwich. We decided to dine in and grabbed a big table by the window. We placed our order and received a complementary hummus from the new owners. The hummus was amazing it’s really creaming and addicting.(Order pita chips!)

Dry chicken, bland rice. One of the two sauces they give you with the schwarma is okay. Overpriced for the quality. I was expecting a bit more spice. Will probably end up eating there again because they are so close to me, though.

Be aware, if you have a Groupon, that they are no longer accepting them and you will have to get a refund. In addition, they claim their Belly system is broken and they aren’t doing that anymore, either. Since we were there, we ordered anyway — and got the wrong order(asked for lentil soup and got something with rice), the falafels were not fresh — but the chicken shewerma was good. Very disappointed — probably won’t return!

$ 2 Falafel Friday’s? Perfect for lent season or any Friday. Well worth the money because they’re almost as big as a subway sandwich down the street. The lunch special was well worth the price. You get a beef kebab, chicken kebab, falafel, beef Schwarma, rice and a drink. I also got a hummus on the side. Beef kebab: I love beef, but not their beef. It’s a lot drier than how I like my beef Chicken kebab: Despite the dry beef kebab, the chicken was juicy, on the inside. The outside was dry. I’m not a chicken person but the chicken kebab was good. The falafel: I like meat but the falafel couldn’t have been any better being meatless. Beef Schwarma: The Schwarma was bomb. It was flavorful and plentiful. Rice: The rice was good and flavorful. It was perfect because it didn’t overpower the sides and complemented the sides well. Hummus: How good is the hummus? It’s the only hummus I eat now. I’ll go in just to buy hummus. The first time I ordered hummus, they forgot to put it in my bag. I realized after I got home. I called them and told them what happened and they apologized and gave me a free hummus when I walked back! I’ve only had good experiences with this place so far.

This is one of my go-to takeout places when I don’t feel like cooking and I am looking for something tasty, fast and affordable. The menu is very casual and consists of dinner plates, wraps and the usual Mediterranean appetizers: hummus, falafel, Baba Ghanoush, etc. My favorite appetizer is probably the shawerma fries. Note: this dish is meant to be shared! Do not attempt alone! They have mixed up my order before, but I find the service fair, overall. If you are looking for cheap, tasty grub in the Edgewater area, you can count on Le Pita Fresh.

I thought it would be hard to top Pita Inn with regards to semi-fast Middle Eastern food but I think we have a winner and I don’t even have to go to Skokie. Now, I do like that you get the lamb at Pita Inn with the lunch special but the Chicken, Beef and Chicken Shawarma at Le Pita Fresh is simply better(and more expensive). Always tasty and cooked to perfection. The Falfel is good too but I am going to stay away from the Shawarma fries as there is too much temptation there. I usually eat here once a week. Oh, and the 855 phone number is no longer in service but you can still call their local number for take out.

Best beef & chicken kifta kabob I have had in such a long time. Don’t let there regular billboard menu fool you the food is stellar! Make sure to ask for a to-go menu and look at some of the selections that are not explained on the billboard. I’m hooked on the falafel, it’s stellar. I’m going back for more at lunch. The only this stoping me from giving this 5 stars is the cleanliness of the tables. Seems during the lunch rush the lovely lady behind the counter is busy and can’t clean and handle everything at once, She could use a hand. But over all that’s the only thing I really noticed that was not on par with the stellar food!
