Excellent quality fried food. Slightly small for a $ 7 chicken sandwich. Free range is nice. The menu is fried chicken sandwiches and fried chicken fingers with sides and salads. You can get a whole roasted free range chicken for less than the cost of 2 sandwiches if you go to Whole Foods.

Tried it for the first time today. Ordered the Nashville hot on a bun… Delicious. Also got a pickle brined breast on a biscuit. Dry and somewhat bland. Forget the hush puppies too those are a waste of your time as they have very little flavor

Yep, going downhill with a bullet. Still inconsistent in quality, from of cold or overcooked, and generally unable to execute. A shame.

This place is going downhill! Just picked up a to go order to get home and find no hand it fries but store bought Krinkle cut! No one mentioned it at all… Between those and the over done hush puppies this might be the last time we go there!

One of the best chicken sandos I’ve ever had. Quality every time. I became a frequent customer real quick.

I love this place, but I’m really sick of the inconsistency. Multiple times I’ve had them mess up my order, but often it’s when I get food to go and don’t realize until too late. Tonight the place was empty and they still managed to give us two pickle brined instead of Nashville hot. When your menu is that small there’s no excuse. Update: ordered pickup again. got regular fries instead of the nori I ordered. Apparently when I pick up my order I need to stand there and unwrap everything to see if it’s actually what I ordered. love the food, but my order has been wrong the past 5 times.

FRIEDCHICKENSKINCASHONLY Now that I have your attention, these awesome chicken sandwiches on those flaky biscuits. The chicken is so moist and so large. They even play rap music. I had the Nashville hot and man it is HOTT. The fried chicken skin is so damn good, every chicken place in the world should sell fried chicken skin.

Im sorry but this Is a tad overrated in my perspective… maybe it was the ordering or just an off day but don’t get me wrong the food was good but it wasn’t to write home about. Buddy and I came in today and staff was super awesome with going over everything. We ordered a bunch to try… — sandwich thigh/Nashville hot/bun w/spicy mayo -#disappointed, sloppy & chicken wasn’t crunchy — nori fries — nori fries good flavor but a lil soggy — hush puppies — holy dense but they were decent — biscuit w/caramel butter — the butter is where it’s at! Biscuit nice & buttery — quinoa bowl — tasty fresh and would consider this a reorder Overall people rave about this place along with my roommate but who really would come to this place for just a quinoa bowl?!? Maybe I should ask for the chicken to be cooked well done but the pure sogginess of the chicken makes me think to even reconsider or recommend this joint. Very unfortunate as I had high hopes! :(

Awesome fried chicken sandwiches. It adds tons of flavor with Kimchi in it if you like. jelapeno aioli sauce is creamy and tasty. Must go for a fried chicken guru!

Tried them from a random referral person. Got chicken breast, Nashville hot with kewpie mayo. It tasted OK. I seem to have gotten a slight allergic reaction to something on the sandwich. Not sure what it was, never happened with a chicken sandwich. Reminded me of the Roost on Irving. The roost was a bit more tastier.

Nice place with good, not great food. I ordered breast, Nashville hot on a biscuit. Added some Ranch Verde suggested by server. Sandwich had good flavor but didn’t wow me.

Man… I just love this place… the chicken is so moist & tender, and crust is perfection. I get the Thigh-Pickle Brined-Biscuit-Honey Mustard and it is a 30 minute break from life… mmmmm!

Have you ever just wanted a legit chicken sandwich? I was in need of one last night so off I went with the wife to Leghorn. First off this place is CASHONLY. I wasn’t aware before I came in and by my count, neither were the four consecutive people in line behind me. Luckily they have an atm just in case. The menu is simple enough. For sandwiches you can pick a bun or biscuit, how can you not go biscuit on this one. Breast or thigh meat. In my experience the thigh has more flavor so that was a no-brainer. And then I had to try the hot Nashville over the pickle brined. There are a ton of extra toppings but I wanted the pure experience of a chicken sandwich only pickles on top. Awesome, blew any other chicken sandwich you may have tried out of the water. It was huge too, not super spicy by any means but it’s more of a warm heat if that makes sense. The fries were just ok, seemed like fries you can get anywhere so I’d pass on those. The hush puppies though. I had to stop the conversation I was having with my wife just to eat these. Happened to have Rancho Verde sauce left from her tenders to dip and you got yourself a ridiculous side. They were fried really crispy, they are big and you get three of em. I was stretching the limits of what I could eat comfortably but somehow I was able to manage. For a casual spot this place is really solid. I’d just imagine that eating at the restaurant might be an issue if it’s the weekend as seating is kinda limited.

We’ve gone to this place a couple of times and I will say that the sandwiches are good for the most part. I usually get a dark meat piece on a biscuit with everything. I’ve shared and also had the entire thing to myself. What I always just think about is the price and how I can go somewhere else and get more food for the price that I’m paying. You have to add fries to the order and that it increases. Several times we’ve gotten the fries and I hope for them to be great because they are made in house but they have been either lukewarm or soggy. Nothing is worst the soft limo fries. Nothing. I’d recommend this place for a sandwich and no fries unless you can specify and ask them for a fresh batch.

This shit was hot as f*ck on my mouth hole, but cot damn if it wasn’t the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever shoved into my gourd. And socially conscious?! Honestly if you don’t jive with this place, take a KFC chicken wing and gently place it into your own butt hole. Ya jerk. Mmmmmm

Clearly, chicken sandwich is the thing to get. The tenders are too dry for my taste. Hush puppies are well seasoned but the outside is way too fried. I think they should change their oil more often.

Okay so I was in the area, and it was a cheat day, so I thought I would stop on by and grab myself a fried chicken sandwich to go. This is not a regular thought that crosses my mind on a daily basis. But I’m so glad it did. I’ve had honey butter fried chicken and absolutely loved it so I thought I would give this a fair shot. I placed my order and the guy that took my order was super nice and even had a little humor so I was happy with that. I ordered the fried chicken thigh(non spicy) on a biscuit instead of a bun, with the pickles, their special mayo and even got the verde ranchero sauce to go. OMG. It was absolutely what the doctor had ordered as I devoured the whole sandwich in about 3.4 seconds, yes, it was that good. My only doubt is that I should have ordered it spicy next time because I would have liked the extra kick, but that’s for next time I guess. I was really happy that I was able to place and order to go and by the time I got there around 2pm on a Sunday afternoon, I didn’t have to deal with any lines or any sort of annoyance like that. I’m happy I didn’t get any sides even though someone elses fries looked good and everyone talks about their hush puppies, but I was bad enough consuming 1000 calories of just fried chicken with tons of sauce. I love that they have a variety of sauces because that really gives your food that extra kick. The place isn’t big so I can see it getting crowded during rush hour times but they have an open kitchen and you can see those hot biscuits coming out of the oven by the ten fold and boy, are those biscuits buttery goodness of worth it calories. The only negative is that I come in and they are cash only. I should have read that from some of the reviews but I didn’t see it coming but they have an atm nearby which is a plus. Who carries cash these days anyway, but no worries, I will be back when I’m in the area and will definitely try it spicy next time, and maybe will order the breast if I want to be good or better shall I say. It’s comfort food at its finest.

This is one of those rare places where everything on the menu is great. The chicken sandwiches are my favorite. I honestly don’t think I have ever had better. I could pour the buttermilk rancho verde sauce in big glass with a straw and drink it like a shake. It’s that good. I usually avoid places with an all out north side hipster vibe but the chicken is just too good. It didn’t hurt that they were playing Wu-tang when I arrived.

This place is great! Love that they market themselves as socially conscious, they are basically the opposite of chick-fil-a. Order process is super easy. Decide if you want a breast or a thigh, spicy or not, bum or biscuit. To me, the biscuit is a no brainer. I went the breast, pickled brine(not spicy), and biscuit. So good! I added an order of hush puppies which came with an awesome green dipping sauce. Kinda like a ranch avocado type thing but I’m not really sure. I tried my friend’s fries which were delicious. They also have free condoms which might be good depending on what your plans are after your meal.

If you’re going to be a chicken sandwich shop, you’re inevitably going to get compared to Chick-Fil-A. The tl;dr version of this review? I’d rather Eat Mor Chikin. Leghorn’s sandwiches are fine. The Nashville Hot is too hot and not flavorful enough; the pickle brined is good but understated. The thigh is retrograde cool, a whole piece of chicken cooked well, reminding me of Chinatown trips to get Taiwanese pork chop rice(made with chicken if you go to a place extra special). The breast is closer to Chick-Fil-A taste, and probably healthier for you if you believe the FDA propaganda to eat more white meat. The biscuit optionality is appealing but again falls short of the southern standard. It sounds like an unfair bash, and all-in-all, Leghorn’s sandwiches are pretty good. The massive sauce varietal is Chick-Fil-A worthy, but charging a quarter per sauce is marginal cost that just dissatisfies the consumer. The pickles are really good, though.
