Lids

10:10am posted hours are 10am– 7pm but door is locked. Knocked 3 times but the employee 5 feet away didn’t even make eye contact. Off to Macy’s.

I love the section at this store. I live in CA and come here to get hats I can’t get anywhere else. But the customer service sucks. I was in there yesterday and had some questions about the fit of a hat, the employee I talked to acted like I bothering him and wouldn’t look at me. I really felt like leaving, but knew I had to buy the hat there. I had another interaction with the same employee and again seemed like I was putting him out. I wish I could buy the hats online and avoid employees like this.

Love this LIDS. They have clothing and hats in all Chicago Teams and hat in almost every team.

Worst customer service ever! I purchased two hats that were delivered to the store and signed for by the store manager. They never called to say the hats arrived, so I just went to get them two days later with delivery confirmation in hand. No one in the store had a clue to where the hats were. I was told to go home and wait for them to call me. I decided to call the 1 – 800 customer service to see what can be done to find the hats that were delivered and signed for by the store manager. After listening to the 3^rd awful customer service rep eat his lunch in my ear, I was told to wait 10 more business days for the hats to arrive. They have ruined two special occasions and I will never shop here again.

This location is convenient to those shopping as tourist. As a regular commuter downtown I don’t mind walking to this location.
Staff greeted me as I entered and within minutes a young man asked if needed help finding anything which I kindly declined. As I stood browsing for 10 minutes or so, he had asked a few more times and was courteous, not aggressive, and patient.
Overall if they had a bigger selection of hats for each sport rather then what sport is in season at the moment they would have more business I think. Also because it’s in the heart of downtown Chicago, they were a «little overboard with all the „Chicago“ teams»
4 out of 5 only because their series «39Thirty» was very small and limited as that is my preference. I would still return to this location should I ever need to!

This Lids is off the charts! The selection is great (I found a florescent colored Blackhawks hat that I couldn’t find anywhere else) and the staff are real nice. The manager even stopped what he was doing to have a conversation with me about how Patrick Kane is one of the best hockey players out there and how the Blackhawks will win the Cup again this year.
The prices are in line with other Lids locations and they do accept the Lids card for discounts.

I came here after having a terrible experience at another Lids store, and because it is the only one that does customization for hats, which I needed.
When I walked in, I was greeted cheerfully by Ryan, who is an absolute rock star. She helped me find what I needed and provided me with helpful suggestions when I asked.
This is out of the way for me, but I will come here every time I need sports apparel because this store offers amazing customer service.

Good selection. Shitty employees. If someone doesn’t know how to say «you’re welcome» after I say «thank you,» concluding a normal checkout then don’t hire them. Rude ass people here. Walk in and it feels like you’re hanging out on a front stoop with a bunch of idiots.

This place is fine if you need an MLB fitted. Their selection of NBA caps is abysmal. I stopped in today and the place smelled like weed, although that was probably attributable to some customers. On my way out I thought I saw a Jeff Hamilton leather in the window. I had to check my iPhone to make sure it was still 2012.

I only have great things to say about lids. If you are in search of a baseball hat u can’t go wrong.

Came here for 2 fitted hats; 1 for my infant son and 1 for my boyfriend.
I was so happy to see that they had ⁵⁹⁄₅₀ hats as small as size 6. It looked so cute on my son, even though it will be a few months b4 he can really wear it, I had to get it.
Found both hats I was looking for thanks to joanna (johana? Her hat said jojo) and got my sons hat embroidered with his name, thanks to Gary.
Jojo was an awesome salesperson, went out of her way to sell me the lids card so I could save the most $ on my purchase, played with my son and was just very friendly and helpful in general.
Gary’s embroidery work was great and he was very patient with an oddball customer who was asking 8,000 questions.
Great experience, great salespeople, will be coming back again soon!
Only negative point I have is that the store is sooo small and crammed! But most lids are this way, and property value in the loop is high, so I can understand.
