Oh wow, I should have definitely looked up on Unilocal before getting anything from this horrible place. I only went here because I was looking for more ‘healthier option’ than Mexican or Pizza in the airport. I guess I was wrong — after eating their tofu, noodle and spicy chicken — I have been food poisoned(it was the only thing i ate that evening) and I havent been able to eat anything for the last 38 hours. I now know what it feels like to be food poisoned. I am also off work for minimum of two days because of this — totally not worth my trouble. Thanks a lot Manchu wok.

****WARNING****FOODPOISONING****I was stuck at the airport for two days because of weather. Manchu Wok was the only place I ate. Ended up having to be admitted to the hospital and was diagnosed with food poisoning. I ended up finding several articles where this location has failed several health inspections and several posts of other getting food poisoning from here as well. I never post anything but knew I had to because I do not want anyone else to experience what I did. Sad that Unilocal won’t allow zero stars!!!

If you just got off the plane, hungry and desperate for food, you may want to avoid Manchu Wok. WOK(walk) on and try not to smell, look at Manchu Wok, or you will end up buying food from there. Airport Chinese food will get you! True story because I’m always a victim but it smells soooooo good! WOKON my friend. Sesame Chicken: Looks crispy on the outside by really dry in the inside Lo Mein Noodles: Taste more like spaghetti noodles with soy sauce Fried Rice: Can’t say the word«taste» because it doesn’t «taste» like anything Steamed dumplings: Straight from the freezer

Probably the worst meal I have ever had at any airport. The beef was extremely chewy and tasteless. Fried rice was horrible too.

I kudzu wanted diverging small and quick before my next flight. You can’t get an a-la-carte item… they make you get a meal or nothing. All u wanted was orange chicken(which was not good) and they said if I get one item, or would be the same add getting a meal. So I got food I didn’t want. I also got wontons which didn’t come with sauce.

This was my first and last time ever eating at Manchu Wok. This was the worse meal I ever bought in my entire life. It was disgusting, uneatable. I bought the two items combo to go, to eat during my flight and the first thing I found was the longest hair ever. The beef part of the combo didn’t contain any beef at all, it was just a box full of greasy potatoes and noodles. I called two times the customer service number, left a message and I never heard back from them. Terrible experience. It doesn’t even deserve 1 star.

The egg roll and orange chicken were both terrible. The noodles were palatable, but not particularly enjoyable. Avoid.

Food is pretty gross, don’t be fooled by the shiny orange chicken. Everything looks better than it tastes. Flavors are bland and taste like they’ve been sitting around for a bit too long. Super greasy, super meh. I am not one to toss chinese fast food ever, especially when I just paid $ 10 for a meal and a drink. But a few bites in, and even starving me couldn’t take it anymore.

Chicago O’Hare is among the busiest, and most frequently flight delayed, airports in the world but fortunately they have a lot of great food options. Manchu Wok, however, is not one of them. The only time I ever really eat Panda Express(Americanized Chinese) food is when traveling or in some unknown place unfamiliar food options. But I will admit that I sometimes get cravings for the unhealthy and unauthentic Chinese that Panda Express serves. That’s what led me to Manchu Work. At first site, the place looks identical to any Panda Express you’ve visited. 2 item combo for $ 7.95 of orange chicken and minced chicken with zucchini. 1 small bowl of egg drop soup for $ 2.95. Total of $ 14.40. * the orange chicken was incredibly sour * the zucchini and chicken were bland and flavorless * the egg drop soup tasted like powder mix with excess water to increase yield=drinking hot water . There’s a reason there are hundreds of Panda Express’s across the nation and only one Manchu Wok. PASS. On an unrelated note, the nearby Wicker Park Sushi Place looks great. Manchu Wok takes credit cards including American Express.

Stopped here coming and going. The servers are a bit more on task and less on customer service but just think about the volume of customers pass through there each hour. The food is pretty good. Liked the noodles and the beef and peppers and orange chicken. The first time it was super fresh and the second time not as much. It really depends on the meal cycle and when you show up. A great alternative to a burger and it travels well in your stomach.

The food looked like Panda Express, but tasted like a panda’s butt. Nothing was good. This level of terribleness takes effort and it looks like they had the right employees for the job. Just awful; even for fast food«Chinese» food. I threw most of mine away and went to the bar.

The service is poor, the noodles limp and tasteless, and otherwise the best part was the chicken and zucchini. Putting this nearly $ 8 meal into the trash and getting an ice cream cone at the McDonald’s down the way was satisfying. Definitely do not go here.

DONOTGOHERE. Everyone’s right, this place is terrible and employees are terrible. Girl working there was actually just sitting at a table outside taking a nap while her brother/boyfriend/co-worker(all 3?) did the heavy lifting. LAZIEST employee ever. I had just flown from Iowa after grubbin’ so wasn’t that hungry, but wanted some hot’n’sour soup. Well, it looked terribly unappetizing as the top of the soup had completely glazed over and if I asked for a bowl, I’m sure the dude would have to stir it up and give it life seeing as how it looked like primordial ooze undisturbed for centuries. Wouldn’t surprise me in the least that it’s probably 3 days old. They are lucky to completely OWN O’hare travelers and suckers fall for this place. I didn’t actually eat here this time, but my sister fell for it. She’s out ten bucks and a few taste buds. dmo out.

I’m in the H terminal feeling nothing but regret. My whole meal is cold, and the piece of orange chicken I just bit into is not fully cooked. I never thought I would say this, but I should have gone with McDonald’s. I am praying to god I do not get any food illnesses on my flight back to Boston. But, hey, the noodles were somewhat palatable which is why this gets a star.
