This is the type of place that would be more at home on Broadway Street in Lakeview. It is similar to Thai Village in that it is bland and inauthentic. I was somewhat expecting that but was still highly disappointed. The Thai soup does indeed have unmanageable chunks of raw tomatoes like other reviewers said. I asked for it to be extra spicy and it is not spicy at all. The sweet potato tempura roll was different than most I’ve had(not in a good way), but it was good enough because I was home sick and hungry. As a side note, I do enjoy Zoku’s sweet potato tempura roll(a similar but better Thai/sushi joint in the West Town area). The only plus was that it was low in cost and came on time — hence the two stars. It is true that the delivery driver reeks of cigarettes though. I wonder how this place has stayed in business so long. Do they read their Unilocal reviews? They should really listen to the few consistent, negative things people are saying about their business.

Ordered off of grub hub and they delivered which was convenient. Pad thai was standard nothing special. Sushi was ok. Decent takeout.

This was my first time at Manee Thai but I plan to come back many times! White crisp table clothes and tasteful art set a lovely atmosphere. The lunch menu had 28 options for $ 7.75. The meal came with a soup, appetizer, and entrée. Plating was fabulous and the service extremely attentive. The food was delicious and freshly made. I was extremely impressed and plan to take my employees there next week!

I ordered three Icys(Guava, Pineapple, and Lychee) for delivery. It took 70 minutes and the delivery bag reeked of cigarette. Not to mention the car could not come to the right address though I left very specific instructions. The icys were ok, they were quite watery.

Placed a takeout order on 11⁄5(a Thursday) and it took an hour and fifteen minutes for it to be delivered. My sister and I ordered online under my name and used her debit card… didn’t think that would be a problem. The delivery guy(who reeked of cigarettes) repeatedly asked my last name and the name on the debit card before giving me the food. It was so weird and rude. The worst part, however, was finding a hair on my sushi. Never again will I order from this place. Yuzu is down the street and a little pricier but well worth it.

Their pad thai is pretty good and comes with fresh veggies… sprouts, cabbage, carrots, etc. Their tom yum soup is tasteless. I would much rather have the tom yum at Pot Pan on Milwaukee.

This place was really good! Though I wasn’t incredibly impressed with the Pad Thai, the Crab in a Bag and Orange Chicken were SO good! The staff was really nice and they were jamming out to 90’s music lol

Was looking for a quick bite and this place didnt disappoint. Got the delivery and the food came fairly quickly. The portion sizes were huge. I’ve definitely had better thai food but it was definitely a decent eat. Prices aren’t too cheap but decent hence overall just okay…

Solid Thai offerings. I enjoyed the Rama Chicken and Crab Rangoon a great deal. The Pad Thai was above average, but not spectacular. It is a reasonably priced neighborhood kind of place that I will likely come back to. I wouldn’t travel far and wide for it though.

A bit of an unconventional St. Patrick’s Day brunch spot but when you are hungry and everything else is super busy an early lunch at a Thai restaurant seems legit. My party of four sat down and enjoyed filling curries, pad thai, and I had the spicy garlic stir fry. The food was good, the portions generous, and had that kick of spice that pleases us spice lovers but doesn’t kill the child-mild lovers in your group. Spice it up with some spicy sauce and your good to go. Oh and I highly recommend getting an icy. The avocado icy was to die for. Enjoy!

I’ve been coming to Manee Thai now for at least 2 years. Sometimes dine-in, but mostly just pick-up. Can I just tell you that every time I order Pad See Eiw either with tofu or shrimp — it comes out just perfect? I love the way Manee Thai char-broils their protein just right in any of their dishes! I had Pad See Eiw w/shrimp the other day from Joy’s Noodles on Broadway and can I tell you that I was EXTREMELY disappointed??? I thought for sure that it was going to taste exactly like my Manee Thai Pad See Eiw and of course it wasn’t. I feel like I was completely let down! So I just wanted to write this review and tell Manee Thai that I’m sorry that I took so long for me to write a review. And that I took you for granted. My apologies and I hope you keep doing what you do best — which is cook GREAT Thai food! Also, wanted to say that I love Manee Thai’s Crab Rangoon appetizer as well! They always make sure to poke holes in my container so that by Rangoon’s stay crispy! They also do a great job of delivering food as well! Thanks, Manee Thai! I love you! ps. Your Thai Iced Coffee rocks as well! ;)

Ordered delivery and am disgusted and amazed by how bad it all is. Apple salad– crispy apple in the description but came with mealy apples. Basil chicken, no basil and very small amount. I can’t believe the cook had the nerve to put so little in the container. Won’t order or dine here ever again.

I have ordered delivery from Manee Thai 3 times now and have never been disappointed. I am a big fan of curries so I have sampled the red and panang curries so far and also the pad thai which were all delicious. I get the spring rolls, Tom Kha soup and Thai iced tea always with each order and everything always arrives warm and double bagged individually to prevent spillage which I appreciate. Delivery was average usually here between 45mins to an hour, no biggie as I am willing to wait for delicious food! Delivery guys are always friendly and I’ll definitely continue ordering from here regularly!

Food was okay. Small portions. Delivery experience was terrible. Instead of actually coming to my door, the delivery guy called me from his van down the street and asked me to come out(and not bc he was lost or confused as to where my place was). I had to go downstairs, out the door and down the sidewalk in my pajamas and bare feet, and out towards where he was parked. Luckily, he at least got out of his van to hand me the food. Ridiculous.

My experience at this joint was offensively BAD. I cannot tell whether one should get Chinese takeout or opt for eating Thai-ish food from Manee Thai. Granted the two times I ordered from this place it seemed to taste ok, the pad Thai and pad see ew I ordered at the restaurant had no spice or flavor. Both were too sweet. The pad Thai came out pink, lukewarm and seemed to be cooked with honey. Really no chillies or peanuts in there. Tom yum soup did not taste the least bit like it should taste-it is usually hot, sour and spicy. Their soup tasted like chicken broth with a squeeze of lime– and it had chunks of raw tomato in it! Yuck. Just… Don’t bother.

This is my favorite Thai joint in the entire area. Service is always great and when I do delivery it is pretty fast too. I love the rolls, fried rice and chicken with added pineapple in addition to the pad thai. Everything I have ever eaten here has been consistently on point.

An out-of-town friend and I stopped by here for lunch. It was also my first time exploring the city. We were looking for sushi on a Sunday, which is apparently hard to come by before 4 or 5 pm. Props for being open earlier than the other places! We were on to plan B after the first place was closed for renovation and we barely saw this spot. Tummies rumbling, we decided to stop. The food was very satisfying. The Thai spring rolls were terrific! As was the Spider roll. They’ve got an extensive menu with creative choices(Chicago dog sushi… what?) I was disappointed with some of the produce(avocado and jalapeños were a bit dry, not freshly cut) and from someone who doesn’t complain about water — mine tasted funky. Also, the bathroom was clean — always a plus.

It’s BYOB so it has that going for it. There is even a liquor store near by. If I stopped here, I would have given this place at least 4 stars. But I won’t. We arrived and sat in a pretty empty place, the wait staff greeted us promptly but then we sat there for about 10 minutes before ordering. We split a crab rangoon, spicy tuna roll(both of these recommended by a Unilocaler), and a pad thai. There was way too much cucumber in the crab rangoon, but at least you have to think it was either house made or at least from a different distributor from other restaurants. The spicy tuna was ok, nothing to boast about, but I’ve been on a «I don’t enjoy sushi» kick lately. The pad thai, however, was the reason I bumped this down to 2 stars. It was way too eggy and we both thought that the egg«smelled» bad. Trying to avoid it was near impossible. The actual noodles were ok, but that was it.
