I blame myself. Maybe my order was not setting this meal up for success. That said if you have«thai» in the name you should be able to make pad thai. Also, I got delivery. Always dicey I should have gone in for my first meal. The dish was so dry I literally used a butter knife to cut the noodles out of the dish. Flavor was apparently extra. And they didn’t offer anything spicy on the side to deal with it … found some chili spice to wake it up but not my 1st choice. The chicken was bountiful … but still dry chicken + dry noodles. I did however like the crab rangoon though that is not a dish I would return to get just a naughty treat to hit my delivery minimum. I’m deeply annoyed.

After all the excitement about htis place opening I wanted to give it a try and compared to others I have to give this a… eh meh. Wasn’t impressed. I ordered the Panang Curry and Tiger Cry based on other recommendations in the reviews. I’m not sure what the fuss about the Tiger Cry is all about it was on the dry/burnt end. And the homemade sauce seems to be just soy sauce. The curry was a small portion of curry sauce and tender chicken with a few slivers of green peppers no other veggies very disappointed there were not other vegetables included. From other reviews it sounded like Opart was big on fresh vegetables??? The flavor/spiciness was good. 5 stars for the quick delivery though!

Great service, delicious food! Crab rangoons are on point. Perfect location in the neighborhood — it was much needed.

We were excited to see that an already established Thai place was taking over Bow & Stern. The neighborhood could use it! I am not familiar with the other Opart Thai locations but they have great reviews and a solid reputation. This location is no exception. We haven’t eaten in the restaurant yet. We’re wondering if they’re still remodeling as it looks sort of sparse. However, we have used them for pick-up. I’m embarrassed to say many times in the last few weeks. We can’t stop! So far the only ding is on the first order my boyfriend tried something that ended up being too spicy to eat. I believe you can pick the spice level and their mild is his 5 alarm fire. I’m a whimp when it comes to heat so I haven’t ventured far from their standard noodle dishes with tofu. All have been so flavorful! We also enjoy the spring rolls with peanut sauce, and, of course, the crab rangoons. I don’t know if we’ll ever eat in the restaurant, but for now this is our go-to Thai take-out place.

We’d been keeping our eyes on Opart, waiting for any indication of its grand opening. Then one day there it was, a sign saying they were serving takeout and delivery! Approx two days later we picked up our first order and it was delicious. Maybe I should also mention Opart Thai holds a special place in my heart bc it was one of my first dates(north side location) with my now husband. We are excited to have Opart in the hood and it’ll make a great addition to Chicago Ave. Will definitely be back!

Quality, prices, atmosphere, and service all get 5 stars. The restaurant has an upscale feeling with a dimmed light ambiance. Prices for dishes are just below $ 10, and they are delicious and made with good quality ingredients. Sometimes I feel like Thai dishes lack veggies or use veggies of poor quality, and that was not the case with Opart Thai. The spicy grading scale is true to the claim. Normal spiciness is a 3, I ordered a 4 and it was a little too much for me. Usually I order a little higher because the kitchen under spices the hotness, but you don’t need to do that here. The waitress was wonderful. Very friendly, helpful, and knew the menu well. It was truly a wonderful experience. I will certainly be coming back.

Was hoping to get the first review! So far I have ordered three times for take out and have, obviously, been very pleased. I have yet to experience table service so can’t review service itself. Only minor complaint is I asked for a mild papaya salad and got 3 alarm fire version. Must have been a mix up. Couldn’t eat the salad but all else was really excellent.

So excited that they’re finally open even though it’s currently just carryout and delivery. The food was all really good. I look forward to the dining room opening so I can eat everything fresh! Omg peanut sauce lover. Soooo delicious! I know it’s listed under hot and spicy but I could request mild on their online ordering and it was super delicious. I do want to try it again as medium next time because I’m sure it’s also super delicious. I also really like the moo ping appetizer! Can’t wait to try more!

Best Thai food I’ve had in Chicago. That Tiger Cry left me crying for joy. They have carry out and delivery, but their dining room is now open too.
