They are pretty busy in the mornings but it’s because they get a lot of people coming in from the Rock Island electric line coming to downtown at LaSalle passing by and stopping in for coffee in the mornings, which sucks when you need a quick in and out to get a breakfast sandwich or something before work. Other than that, they are pretty busy for lunch too. But they recently renovated and look pretty upscale compared to before. Seating is ok. They have booths and table for parties of 2, 3 or 4, but have some individual seating along the Jackson Street window and some along the window looking out into the traders/Ceres courtyard. Also, very inconvenient to pile up in a corner as you wait for them to call out your number. Why couldn’t they think of making a better way to handle large volumes of people after they place their order??? Hard to recommend them unless they pick it up and get better at handling the foot traffic coming into their location during those hours. McDs management needs to focus on these issues instead of what items should or shouldn’t be on the menu.

I work in the CBOT right next door, so I am a frequent visitor of this particular McDonalds. Now, I’m used to the overall ebb and flow the CBOT presents, so I’m used to chaotic environments as well. That being said, this McDonald’s pushes it regarding organization. The organization is non-existent. The place is a mosh-pit of hungry people that can’t tell if you’re in line, waiting for food, or just loitering. It doesn’t help that the staff doesn’t seem to particularly care, but given the situation they are in, I can see how they’d get frustrated and/or fed up. I think a McDonalds this busy needs a massive overhaul and makeover. At the very least, they have to address the organizational issues, much less an ambiance uplift. I’d think this one should look like the one on Wabash and Madison. The one plus I have is that the McGriddles always taste delicious!

Ok, so it’s McDonald’s. The thing is that the line here is always a clusterfuck. ALWAYS. They have the cashiers taking the orders fast, then you have to wait a bit longer then ordinary for McD’s. But there is no flow in and out for this place. It’s kind of bottle necked. You then wind up with all these people piled on top of each other. No one knows who ordered and who didn’t. You have to climb over more people when your food is ready. It’s kind of a pain in the ass…

I work the graveyard shift. So when I get out of work sometimes I just want a hash brown and maybe breakfast sandwich. Like other Loop area McD’s, this one is packed during morning rush but they’re pretty fast. Can’t complain with fresh hash browns all the time.

Very disorganized and crowded. Double cheeseburgers were more expensive than other loop locations.

I come here sometimes for the 2 for 3 breakfast deal. For the most part it’s pretty good, but one time my coworker got 6 bfast sandwiches, but when he came back to the office, they only gave him 5. That sucked. In the summer I like coming here for a big chocolate shake. Tasty and cheap. It could be thicker, but c’mon, it’s McDonald’s.
