I cannot recommend these guys enough… they do great work at a reasomable price. I recently purchased a huge painting which was about 8 feet by 4.5 feet and i needed it stretched. It was too big for me to transport to their location. Jim the owner arranged for some guys to come pick ot up for me. He then did a fantastic job stretching and mounting the canvass and did it with less hassle and for about half the rpice of other shop in town… ahem 4 sided. After it was finished he then hooked me up with a guy who delivered it to me for a very reasonable price. All in all i got door to door service and paid about half of what i would have with someone else who wouldnt have gone to te trouble of pick up and delivery for this. Totally recommend!!!

I had a painting on a rolled up canvas that I wanted to get stretched. I called around to a bunch of places to ask how much it would cost, and most quoted me a price over $ 200(this is just to have it stretched, not even framed!). I even called the chain craft store Michael’s, and they gave me the highest quote of anyone. I was almost ready to give up on ever being able to put this painting up when I finally called MCM. They said they would do it for $ 60, and when I brought the painting in they dropped the price even lower without my even asking. They did it quickly, and it looks absolutely beautiful. Everyone I talked to there was very friendly. Long story short, unlike the many other frame shops I contacted, these guys gave me a very reasonable price, and do not seem to be trying to rip people off. I can’t speak to their framing, but they did a beautiful job with stretching my painting. I will definitely go back if I ever need anything framed!

Fabulous custom framing without a fabulous cost. Former worker at Armend Lee-he knows high end finishing and has the same level of service-for framing. I take art to this place when I know my client doesn’t have flexibility on pricing yet the piece or art demands something that just can’t be found at a regular frame shop. I have a client whose Father passed the weekend after I dropped off a piece for them to frame. After I heard of the Father’s passing I called the frame shop and asked if they could finish the artwork before Christmas. Crazy enough they called back 4 days later saying the frame was finished already-a week after I dropped it off! They listened and understood the situation and why I wanted to get the painting back to my client earlier than expected. They totally exceeded my expectations. This cannot always happen if its a hand carved frame or custom piece but I’m so grateful everything lined up and I can’t wait to surprise the client with this newly refurbished piece of art!

I work for a charity in Chicago called Rock For Kids( …) which provides free year-round music lessons to children living under the poverty level. For years, MCM Fine Framing has been one of the three main framers that we use every year to frame items in our Annual Rock & Roll Auction. Every year we have nearly 200 items signed by bands and other celebrities, and most of those items need framed. MCM frames the majority of the items that we use in our live auction as well as some of the more notable items in our silent auction. They have done some mind-blowing work and and a number of items they have framed have raised between $ 10,000 and $ 50,000. My favorite piece they have done was a signed copy of the sheet music to Piano Man by Billy Joel! The sheet music belonged to me when I was a child, but unfortunately I didn’t win it. It did, however, raise $ 4,200 for Rock For Kids, so I am glad it is in a better home! People who come to our auction always want to know who frames our stuff — now you know! To see samples of the outstanding framing that MCM has done for Rock For Kids visit the following link: Thank you MCM Fine Framing for all that you do for Rock For Kids!

This place is amazing! Part workshop, part frame display, part art gallery with wonderful, caring staff who really know their stuff! My husband and I worked with Stefanie on a hardcore«framing binge». She helped us pick really awesome combos for the really diverse set of art pieces we wanted framed including a barnwood frame that she hand-painted and sanded! It is a pricey endeavor, but no more expensive than other places we’ve been for framing in Chicago and you can’t beat the personal attention and craftmanship that goes into their work!
