Mercato is Fabio Viviani’s taken on fresh ingredient pizzas and pasta at the grunge fab foodcourt, Rustle+Roux. The pasta station consists of your choice of gnocchi or noodles, topped with a choice of amazing sauces, and I’ll be back for the vegetarian on gnocchi soon. The four pizzas to choose from all looked great, and are displayed for you to check out. I chose the Prosciutto with arugula. The gentleman on the lunch shift was super friendly, and respectful when the pizza took a short wait– it didn’t take long at all. With a sprinkle of fresh parmesan cheese, the pizza was really good. I ate the whole thing in one sitting at Rustle+Roux’s «grunge fab» foodcourt. Grunge(formerly called«distressed») because of the completely unfinished floor, and fab for the girly seats and found wood object touches. But that’s a review for another day! Mercato is a great stop for those that work near the Sears(Willis for newbies) Tower.
