I would give this place no stars. I was expecting it to be good from the reviews I had seen, but honestly it’s the worst pizza ever I have ever tasted. The dough was uncooked and inedible. Definitely not going back!

I came here for lunch with a group of 15 special needs students. They were very patient and very accommodating with us. And the food was great too!

It’s cheap and worth every penny. Last time I ordered from here I had spaghetti and meatballs, traditional Italian fare. The spaghetti was overcooked and the sauce was very bland and flavorless, it was«marinara» meaning no meat and certainly no spices. I would have done better with a bottle of Ragu. The meatballs were smallish and made predominately with bread crumbs and not meat. I’ve ordered pizza from here before and stopped, pizza was salty and not good.

Log story short: horrible delivery customer service. I placed an order with this restaurant at 8 pm, thinking I would try a new restaurant to deliver some pasta for dinner. It was expected to show up at 9:21. When 9:25 rolled around, I called the Mr. V’s and a frazzled cashier answered the phone and I explained my situation and wanted a update on a delivery. Her response was that they were really backed up(at 9:30 on a Sunday) and that they just sent a delivery driver out with my food. I waited and stood in front of my window as the night was getting late and at 10:15, with no food delivered yet, I tried calling the restaurant again. Not knowing the hours, the restaurant was closed. I was pissed and now refuse to eat there from their shady customer experience and a no show of the food I ordered(from which I found that it’s not worth the hype from the previous reviews)

Best thin crust pizza in the city. Besides the pizza, the Chicken Parm’s the best I ever had.

Pizza Time! Im starving! Called ahead to make sure they had a slice ready, and they do. Most of the time the food here is great for the price. I wouldn’t go getting a chicken sandwich from a grease pit but i do love their cheese fries. Their Italian beef is good but stress it loudly if you want extra peppers and sauce on side, they always forget or dont write it down. !! Ok im hungry now so im going to cut this short. Yummy@!@

I’m so glad Mr. V’s is in my neighborhood! I can walk there to pick up food to take home or eat there. I’m a fan of their thin crust pizza. Their fresh ingredients really make a difference – no«blah» mushrooms or tomato sauce here. I usually order the Mr. V’s Special pizza. They have very good Italian beef sandwiches – loaded with tender beef & I always add sweet peppers. There’s a good selection of sandwiches & meals, with specials each day of the week.

We love Mr. V’s! We have been in the neighboorhood for many years, and have ordered from Mr. V’s at least once a week. Everything on their menu is tasty. I usually go for their chicken tenders and bbq sauce, but the pizza is also wonderful. They have plenty of coupons available, just check their menu. The staff are friendly and remember our order. Check it out!

I became a little nervous when we went inside to pick up our pizza. The place smells. No, it doesn’t smell like food. It smelled like mold. Pizza was okay.

I paid too much for my cajun chicken sandwich. There was a small piece of chicken hiding in a very small bun. This came with fries. I paid almost $ 8 for this. Possibly $ 8 after taxes. I got iceberg lettuce that barely stayed inside the bun, and they piled it on! It slid out when I took a bite because it was up against the mayo on the bun. The unhealthy iceberg lettuce and the unripened and flavorless tomato made up most of this sandwich. I had to pull 3 out of the 4 very large and stiff leaves of iceberg lettuce out of the sandwich just so I could find the meat hiding under it. otherwise my sandwich resembled one of those bouncy balls from the early 90’s that looked like Saturn, and you stood on the ring and jumped up and down on the bottom ball while keeping your ankles firmly gripped around the top part of the ball. That was how far the lettuce was extending out of my sandwich. The chicken was made up primarily of breading and little actual meat. Overall, I was not satisfied with my purchase. There are better places to eat in my neighborhood. I was just desperate and looking for something to wolf down while my laundry dried next door. Again, had the sandwich been an actual sandwich and not a slider, I would have given this place 3 stars. I’m really just irritated because I feel like I got ripped off. If you come here, I’d suggest that you stick to the pizza, but then I really didn’t find their pizza all that great either.

Ugh, the food here is pretty bad, which is unfortunate because it’s right down the street from us. The pizza is just blah — so much so I don’t really remember it. Worse, though, was the Italian beef that tasted like rubber — gross meat. They also quoted us 10 – 20 minutes, and so when we arrived after 15 minutes, kept telling us 5 minutes as we sat there for 40(and never once apologized or offered any kind of make good).

The Italian beef I had was bad. The meat was tough, and so was the bread, at one point I had to gnaw on the bread and meat like a wild animal. The beef had the typical peppers on it, but also had jalapeño peppers, which was odd. Delivery was slow.

Best pizza in Chicago. I have been ordering from them for at least 32 years as they had other locations at one time.

Went here for the first time and I thought it was going to be great since all the reviews were pretty good. Honestly, the pizza sucked. Maybe I caught them on a bad day?

Thin crust is the best, and for some reason even plain burgers are tasty! I must get the chicken tenders every time I go.

Mr. V’s, you had me at «right next to the Forest Glen metra station.» I mean seriously, people, how much easier do you want it to get? Here’s a straight-up, down-home Chicago pizza(or whatever else sounds good that you don’t feel like making yourself) joint. This is not a place for picky people. This is a place for people who don’t want to cook, who like tomato sauce. I think that covers all of us at one point or another. Prices are reasonable and the wait isn’t long(most people pick up and do not eat in, though there are a few tables). Is it fancy? Ah, no. But that isn’t why you went to Mr. V’s… I have to say, though, they do really pride themselves on using fresh ingredients, and they always run coupons, either on their website or in the packs that come to the house. Be on the lookout! Transit options: Parking — Free and easy in the front lot Metra — Forest Glen CTA — 92(Foster) bus

I wanted to like the pizza here, I really did. And maybe the other kinds are fine, but the pan pizza I had delivered was a nightmare. It was clearly undercooked, but I was hungry as heck and ate it anyway. At the time I probably would have given it a 2.5, but then … well. It wrought some havoc on my digestive system. I’m not lactose intolerant or allergic to anything that goes into your standard pizza, and it was the only thing I ate for lunch and my sorrows started soon after, so, yeah. The delivery guy was nice, though. I’d praise them on it coming pretty quick, too, but that was clearly at expense of the pizza just not being cooked all the way. (Also: they deliver pizzas in a paper bag. What? Not a huge negative or anything, just really weird.) I’d recommend, uh … anywhere else, really. Maybe you’d have better luck ordering in, or maybe I ordered on a bad day.

I have to apologize to Mr. V’s for NOT ordering food more often!!! My family and I have been ordering from Mr. V’s for over 20 years. However, I moved a little further away and haven’t ordered in about 9 months. Needless to say, I was NOT disappointed!!! The pizza is still some of the best the city has to offer.(Especially the Thin Crust) You can really tell they use fresh ingredients in the pizza, and the Italian Sausage is great! Personally, I like the Mr. V’s Special pizza. But I’ve never had a bad pizza from them… EVER! The people behind the counter(who also work in the kitchen) are always warm and friendly. Plus you can find them on Groupon Now with some deals. It just keeps getting better!
