Great park with tons to do! Make sure to bring the kids swim suits because there is a splash pad there as well

My kids and I have enjoyed the pool this year more then ever. I think because of the weather not being very pleasant it’s been pretty quiet. LOVEIT!

Clean, safe, and expansive; there’s plenty of room to run and small tables and benches. Te playground is fenced in. It’s got some interesting attractions, things I’ve never seen at other parks(little padded ridges and a jungle gym you have to traverse on your back), and kids gravitate to them. After ten years, though, it needs some mending here and there. Still a great place. Outside the playground area are several huge fields for even more running around, playing catch, and so forth.

Great park… do not like the day camps that come and take over though.

Beautiful playground. Very clean & lots for the small kids to do. I did notice someone had their dog with them in there. I know there are signs up no dogs in playground. Keep your dogs home and bring the kids to the playground. Lets keep this park beautiful.

Awesome park! One of the best I’ve ever seen. Great place to let the kids run wild for a few hours. Love that it only has one entrance, keeps the kids contained. Plenty of swings too. Extra thanks to the local community for building such a great playground!

So, what does an almost million dollar playground look like? Nice. Really nice. It took some women here years to raise the money to build this(a replacement for arsenic-laden playthings and sand from a gross bar’s «beach volleyball» area that was there before) It’s all got that soft, rubberized ground stuff that’s bouncy and shock absorbent, a bunch of giant musical instrument sculptures that really make noise, a spray fountain, multiple thingies to be climbed on — there is just stuff to do everywhere and it’s about 10 times bigger than your average park playground. I especially loved that it is fenced in all around with only a single entry in and out — safe and useful for parents. It really fits the needs of all kids, from wee babydom to right before«Mommm. I need the car…». The absolute funniest part is that this looks like a skateboarders paradise — ramps, hills, bumps all made out of soft stuff, a balance beam, stairs — everything, but there are no skateboarding signs all over the place. Ha! There were like five kids skateboarding there the other night. That’s right — night. They also have it set up on purpose so that you can come have a place for your kids to place at night that is very, very well lit. How rad is that? Without a doubt the best playground in Chicago. No bullshit. It’s the best one I’ve ever seen and that is saying a lot. Totally worth the drive from anywhere. When you see this playground you will be pissed off every time you see a plain old slide forever more.
