Because they have a MONOPOLY they treat customers badly– I got an email from Network Solutions saying: ‘call now to receive a discount on renewal of domain name’. I called today: waited a short time on hold, explained my call to an operator and was put on hold again. Twenty minutes later I spoke to another operator, explained the call again and was put on hold to «connect this to the right person». Wasn’t that what I was put on hold for before? A few minutes into this the line went dead. For the price we pay verses their cost of providing, they should at least take the call when I respond to their email. They insult us by making us wait more than a half hour on hold. Is it true that Network Solutions charges $ 35 a year for something it costs them 35 cents to provide?
