Lots of interesting finds here from furniture to antiques to jewelry. Overall, I find the pricing a bit odd. Some of the items are incredibly overpriced and there is little to no wiggle room. Other things are super underpriced and a steal. It’s fun to browse and look on a lazy afternoon. Worth a look.

This is an okay antique store if you are already in the area. But I certainly wouldn’t drive to come here. The store is only a few small rooms of trinkets and odds and ends. The staff was friendly and the space was cozy, but overall the stuff they were selling was mostly leftover junk, with little of interest to look at. You can probably only spend around twenty minutes I. the store before you’ll have looked at everything, and I would wager to bet that you won’t find anything you couldn’t live without. TL;DR: pleasant staff, few items, not worth a trip.

It was a nice store to check out, but just wasn’t my cup of tea.

The lady in charge was incredibly helpful. I got a great cabinet at a fair price and she helped me figure out how to load it in my car. I will be back!

Way too pricy! Hard to walk around because is packed. Most furnitures and dishes you can buy for much less on-line !

Charming store with screaming deals on really cool stuff and it goes to a good cause! What’s not to love? I spent 1 ½ hours in here because there was so much to look at. Their prices are very fair for the merchandise and it changes all the time. This ain’t salvation army people! If you understand that when you visit you’ll score some great deals on things you didn’t know you just had to have! Nice and friendly staff to boot.

Too expensive. Way too pricey. OMG. They must look online for the items and use the highest price found. I’m sure they have high overhead, but still…

Huge inventory and very well priced thrift store. It’s pretty tight in the store, so a lot of squeezing through small area to see everything, but that’s pretty normal in thrift stores. I usually go once every 3 to 4 weeks, just to check out whats there, and a lot of times its still the same stuff.

This is by far my favorite resale shop in the area! The inventory always seems to be nicer than just old junk that people wanted out of their way. They store is pretty packed, but digging through for treasure is half of the fun. I mostly go there because they have a great book selection, but I have found many higher end home furnishings and accessories as well; It’s definitely worth a look around. You will also find the staff to be very friendly and they will sometimes do better on certain items if you ask nicely.

The people here are so friendly and the stock is always quite interesting. The prices are decent so I stop in and buy books from time to time.

Small space fairly packed, if somewhat disorganizedly, with potential gems. From a gorgeous hutch to great, gaudy picture frames to partial china sets, there is a lot to be discovered in here. Mostly well-priced, extremely helpful staff. Maybe not somewhere I’d go far out of the way to hit, but definitely worth checking out if you a reason to be nearby.

An amazing place that has an unreal amount vintage items that can help spice up the new place or add value to the old. Help support the local Non-Profit community.

Wow! What doesn’t this store have? If you are looking for something second hand, you will most likely find it here. The store is jammed packed with everything from furniture to clothes to weird stuff in between. Plus lots of antiques and other great vintage finds. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. I went in to purchase a kitchen cart they posted on Craigslist and while they didn’t have it(apparently it was left outside and someone took it), they offered me another one(yes, they seriously had another one) that was even better for cheaper than the asking price of the first one(that was slightly damaged). Then the woman loaded it into my car for me. Outstanding service! I can’t wait to go back and spend more time rummaging through the stacks of goodies. Caution: I’m not joking when I say the store is jammed packed. There is a narrow pathway to walk through and not much room to move around. If you are claustrophobic or appreciate things being neatly arranged, this store might not be for you(but you’re missing out).

Wandering amongst the streets of the Lincoln Park district in Chicago, and needing to kill time before heading over to the movies to see JURASSICFREAKINGPARKIN3D, I thought I would take a peak at what Chicago’s versions of thrift stores had in store for this southern, thrift store before Macklemore made it cool expert. I was expecting a pricier, less cool version of my go-to’s back home, and walked into this nifty little store at the request of Unilocal reviews… and OH. MY. GAWD. I felt like I had walked into my grandmas attic, with a random amounts of books, furniture, and clothing thrown about in a festive, yet somehow calming and organized manner. The store dog(a sweet golden retriever) greeted me by running up to me with a toy in its mouth, begging to be played with. That along with a friendly smile from the two ladies working the store, and I was sold. It didn’t hurt that the prices and quality of their items was unlike anything I’d seen. This isn’t your standard thrift store that doubles as Uncle Frank’s personal dumpster. Everything in here was of superb quality. There were many pieces of furniture I would have loved to snatch up, but transporting back to Tennessee would have been a nightmare. :( Separate bedroom sized clothing sections for men and women, took me away from being in a store, but being in grandpas room trying on his old, classy jackets. I ended up buying a super nice light brown Burberry-esque jacket, something I would easily find for $ 150+ at a department store, for $ 15! Off to take a selfie for Facebook I tell you!!! If you want a GREAT store, with amazing stuff at amazing prices, in a super cool location, and with the cutest darned dog you’ve ever come across… THIS is your place.

I sought out this place after the White Elephant near us closed. If I(A) weren’t unemployed and(B) didn’t live in an itty bitty apartment I would have scooped up: — Sweet hanging lamp with an oil lantern between the shade and the pull — Wide painting of an Asian junk ship — Pillow of a chow dog, for my friend who has such a dog Everything was reasonably priced, and the front counter lady(owner?) was willing to haggle on a few things. Too bad I haz no monies! It was a very nice store, though, and I highly recommend for casual browsing and for sprucing up your apartment.

Very odd little shop with odd staff members, I guess that’s part of the charm. A blend between reasonably priced and expensive items. It’s a disaster zone right now as they are reorganizing. I think I’ll come back but I’m not sure I’d recommend it.

I primarily use Unilocal to find the best restaurants, but I had such a great experience at New Elephant that I had to review them. I went there to find a couch, but ended up finding some hidden gems thanks to Heidi, the owner. She was pretty knowledgable about many items, so it was like having a private history teacher! Will definitely go back.
