We went to the whiskey fest today. They were serving a beef brisket sandwich that was amazing. Chef Tony was around and went to the kitchen to get us a vegetarian option that was also amazing. Thank you chef Tony for a great experience. Your food is awesome!

Terrible service and the food was all fat pieces. I won’t come back. The band was douchey too.

This neat spot features a hoppin’ atmosphere, friendly service, beautiful women, and all your favorite country music tunes. Divided down the middle for a unique layout. An unending barbecue aroma will bring you in and keep you there! Also a great venue for live music. Within earshot of Wrigley Field, Old Crow Smokehouse is a must-stop for Chicago residents and visitors alike.

Ordered the Ribs. ¼ of it was perfect. The rest was so dry I had to soak it in my glass of water to attempt to eat. My sides, baked beans and corn bread. Corn bread was great. Beans were so cold that I think the cook forgot to turn the stove on. Traded them for some delicious Mac N cheese. My wife got the brisket. Delicious! But you only get 3 slices. Coleslaw was fantastic bread just as good. So my suggestion to you. Go someplace else for mediocre dinner. Rocket is right down the street. Staff and service was pleasant.

Fun game watching for The Ohio State game vs. Michigan. Decent drink special and really good appetizers. Pork Rind Nachos were really good. No Mucho Nachos of crew long ago, but would get these again. Great music if you like country. Good energetic crowd. Will be back!

I had so many pieces of hair in my food I could not eat around it. I love country and I love chicago so I gave the restaurant the benefit of the doubt. It took nearly 2 hours to get through dinner due to long cook times, wait times, etc.

Absolutely love this bar! Although there’s usually a line, it moves pretty quick and definitely worth the wait. There’s usually live music which is always fun and we’ve never had a problem ordering drinks– bartenders are super fast. It’s also an awesome place to watch sports games, there are a million TVs and the food they serve is delicious. Definitely one of the best bars in Wrigley.

Looked into going to watch the Cubs game last night only to find they instilled an $ 800 a table minimum. Yup, $ 800. Way to screw the locals. Decent food, decent atmosphere, terrible bands. Bathroom servants. Seriously, bathroom servants. The guy takes the trash can away from the door so you can’t use the towel to open the door and then throw it in the trash. He also removes all towels from the dispenser so you have to get one from him. Most annoying thing ever.

We went there for an early dinner prior to a Cubs game just down the road. If you like overly loud and poorly performed country music, this place is just for you. I will preface with I am not a fan of country music generally, but I can appreciate just about any type of music that is well performed. Here, the particular band performing was outright bad; and the volume level drowned out conversations with the people at the table. This is not the reason for a one star however. After a 40 minute wait for a table, we were seated and brought drinks. Food did arrive promptly after ordering, but we were lacking paper towels and silverware long enough that it was very annoying. Though I credit this to them being busy, it was still unacceptable. I ordered the beef brisket, which to my disdain was about 65% fat. The parts that were actually what I wanted to eat were however very good, but I was completely underwhelmed, particularly with the realization that there were about 15 better places I could have spend $ 20 and not been hungry two hours later. Cornbread and fries for the side were both overcooked and lacked the quality for the price. Overall — I would avoid this place, and regret being there. There are literally DOZENS of better options,(of which I would include the McDonalds up the road or hot dogs from 7 – 11). 12 hours forward from this experience, and I began to feel pretty bad. I have drank no alcohol and the last meal I ate was at Old Crow. Ill spare the details, but suffice to say I spent more time in the bathroom this morning before work than I am used to budgeting for, making me late to work, thanks Old Crow!

Stopped by here on a Thursday night to try to catch the Pitts/Pats game. It was pretty crowded already since the whole other side of the bar was already reserved for a Steelers party and then there was a country singer performing at the venue that same night. we ended up just getting drinks here and leaving. The bartender was super nice though and very attentive.

This was my second time at Old Crow, and this place is massive with a retractable roof, small dance floor, and tons of bars all around, plus they have free peanuts but no regular fireball! It’s a good place to come for a little bit before or after some event at Wrigley, but like all places in Wrigley it is fairly pricey and packed. I also thought that out of many of the bars around, it draws a slightly older crowd.

Old Crow Smokehouse is definitely not worth the trouble. We went on a Cubs game day, which was understandably busy, and our waitress was definitely busy and it was hard to get her attention. She stopped by maybe five times total, but we would have drank more rounds if she had stopped by to see we were done with our drinks. Also, my friend ordered another drink once, the waitress said ok… then returned without her drink 10 minutes later and asked if she wanted another one! My friend’s response was«I already did order one from you…» And the waitress got flustered and rushed away… and actually never brought my friend her drink! The food was ok. Nothing to write home about. But the cheery on top was when we got the check: we were charged slightly higher prices than were on the menu. Things that were $ 8.95÷9.95 on the menu were actually $ 10.45÷12.45, and weird prices like that. So we asked the waitress and she said«oh yeah, our menu prices just changed.» …well, maybe you could have told us? A little disclaimer? In fact, pretty sue that’s necessary, otherwise this is outright illegal. She cattily said she could send a manager over, so we had her do that… and then he didn’t exactly answer our questions. The conversation went something like this: Manager: «Hi guys, I’m really sorry about the misunderstanding. We just changed our prices, so I updated the servers but the changes aren’t reflected in our menus yet.» Us: «Why aren’t there stickers or anything on the menu to alert customers to changed prices?» Manager: «They literally just changed.»(Doubtful) Us: «Then why didn’t the server tell us beforehand?» Manager: «…the price change just happened…» Us: «But why didn’t she TELL us prices would be different?» Manager: «…I’m sorry for the inconvenience…» It was pretty frustrating, and okay, we get that the changes were pretty small, but these added up on a tab for five people. In fact, the cornbread was priced at $ 3.95 and ended up being $ 7.25! What? Also, the old prices are still up on their menu online– if there were price changes implemented, wouldn’t it be easiest to change online? Save your money or go somewhere else.

Boyfriend’s 1st time to Chicago & we decided to do our own pub crawl before the Cubs game 2 days ago. This place by far was our favorite. So much so that we plan on going back tomorrow before another game. The atmosphere is so fun. Very country from the music to the mason jars. And any place with peanuts shells on the floor is always great. Staff was incredibly friendly, and our waitress was very attentive, which is a major feat since it was packed before the game. We just had the wings which had great flavor, and the fries, which were literally the best fries we ever had in our life. Can’t wait to visit again!

Visited Old Crow before a Sunday Cubs game and I’m glad we arrived early, not because it was crowded but because it took so long to get our drinks and food. Old Crow has a fun atmosphere with poppy country music playing and a great outdoor bar, but it’s tough to enjoy all of that when all you are doing is watching the bar hoping that your waitress might be bringing over your cocktail before you have to leave to go to the game. One of my friends ordered the Front Porch Punch and loved it. It was a little too sweet for me, but she sipped it down in a hurry. Another friend and I split the mimosa carafe and we were disappointed that it was mostly just ice. We arrived in time for brunch, but had to specifically ask for a brunch menu. The Bloody Mary bar had a nice array of veggies, meats and cheeses which was necessary to munch on while waiting an extensively long time for our meals to arrive. I had the Charred Romaine with pulled pork and although it was delicious, it was probably not worth the wait. My friend got the burnt ends and she was disappointed in them. We split the mac and cheese, and although my friend was not impressed, I thought it was pretty good. I have low expectations for all of the bars/restaurants in Wrigleyville and Old Crow was no exception to the list.

Huge place, lots of seating. Retractable roof is a nice touch. Keeps the sun’s heat in when it’s closed for the chilly days and let’s in a nice breeze when it’s open for the warmer days. Came here twice, once before a Cubs game with my family to eat and once after a Cubs game with friends to drink. Service was great both times. My rebel 6 yr old liked being able to throw the peanut shells on the floor just like everyone else. We ordered the burnt ends entrée and the sliders kids meal. The burnt ends were a tad on dry side, but had great flavor, especially when adding more of one of the 3 different bbq sauces on the table. We preferred the tangy sauce over the vingear type and the spicy one. My daughter ate her sliders and the mac and cheese with no hesitation. The Front Porch Punch tasted just like a koolaid all grown up, But I had to drink it slower than I would Koolaid b/c the moonshine in it would creep up on me. Would definitely come again… even if it was just for the punch. One tip: if coming after the cubs game, come before the game is over to grab a table as it fills up fast.

I like this bar which is a huge admission because it’s an OSU bar and I’m not a fan lol. This was the first time I’d actually eaten here. The free other times I’ve been here was late at night for dancing and music. It is a huge place. Very open with a few big TVs and many more smaller ones. A great place to catch a game. The food was pretty good, not easy to mess up BBQ though. They had 3 different types of BBQ sauce which in my experience is low for a BBQ place. A spicy, vinegar, and beer BBQ sauce. Beer BBQ sauce was my favorite. We were seated right away, but it was Sunday night so it was pretty empty. Waitress took our order then pretty much just let us alone. So much so in fact that we had thought about adding an appetizer but couldn’t because there was no one around to tell. They do have pretty good drinks though! By far the highlight. Different flavors of moonshine and you can’t go wrong with any. Also they have root beer beer on draft so I’m immediately a fan. Not too many places carry it. Overall I’m a fan. Service could be improved, but as far as a decent BBQ place goes, this one is up there

Came here for an event with my fiancé and loved it. This place is huge. Is very country, they even give you peanuts and you can throw the shells on the floor. We had the pull pork to eat and it was good. The only thing is that the drinks were kinda pricy. But the food and relax environment made up for it. We plan to go back again soon.

I’ve been curious about this place since Chen’s was torn down and turned into Old Crow. I figured it may not be as bad as other Wrigleyville bars, but I was wrong! My friend had a birthday party here last night and within ten minutes of arriving, I was ready to punch two bros in the face. I was at the bar waiting to order when the guy in front of me turns around, hands me a glass and says, «Here, drink this!» I politely said, «No thanks», then his friend pretended to sprinkle something in it and says, «There, NOW drink it!» They start cracking up and the female bartender joins in because joking about sexual assault is hilarious! I gave them a piece of my mind and the bartender kept laughing. Maybe other girls giggle and flirt when they pull that crap but not this lady! Glad I didn’t order a drink and give her my money. I walked back to our table and considered telling a bouncer, but if that’s how the staff behaves, it wasn’t worth it. Hopefully drink spiking will never actually happen there, but if it does I’m sure they won’t be laughing. Those bros are lucky my friends and I were sober and didn’t want to get kicked out otherwise I would have slapped them silly. Obviously their mothers never did.
